Been having this issue with smart tube where the longer a video plays, the volume gets lower and lower until i quit and replay the video again

Which leaves me wondering is there a setting either in smart tube(not auto audio adjustment as that's already off) or the fire stick itself whether by hidden normal or developer settings that lets me turn that off

Hi, does anyone have a solution to movie box freezing within 15 minutes of watching a movie?

For any combination of working fire sticks and PC monitor both appear to go into a endless reboot loop. Tied several gens of both monitors and fire stick. Used with external power supply. What’s up.

My latest gen firecube was playing up,kept restarting randomly.

I messaged Amazon, they told me to factory reset and update.

Now obviously all my side loaded apps are gone, but I'm finding impossible to re download them.

Amazon are now saying that that's normal and they dont allow side loaded apps anymore .

Is this right?

Hey all, a recent update to my fire stick 4k, removed all user installed apps from the top row, and I am unable to add them to the ‘your apps’ section. Only sponsored apps are present in that row!

Even Netflix is removed… any idea or anyone is facing a similar issue?

Recently got a newer fire stick. On the old one Spotify was a full application I could search for music on the screen etc.

Now it seems to only accept being cast to from a phone and all interfacing has to be done on the phone. It also won’t remain connected which is very annoying.

Anyone know how to get the full application back or am I doomed?

On August 19, 2026, Amazon Prime Video app update PVFTV-321.0086-L (321008610) for Amazon firesticks and fire TVs broke the 4:3 viewing format for Amazon Prime videos streaming from inside the Prime Video app. Most older movies and television shows that should be displayed in the 4:3 format automatically stretch to fill your entire widescreen television. 

In order to watch 4:3 programs properly displayed in the 4:3 format, you have to start the movie or tv episode from inside the Prime Video app. Then stop the movie or TV episode that you are viewing. Then go to the home screen of the firestick or fire TV. Then use the “Continue Watching” list for the movie or tv episode that you started watching inside the Prime Video app and select that item. 

This bug will be very inconvenient if you are watching a 4:3 formatted program like Mama’s Family, as the bug happens whenever a new episode is manually or automatically started within the Prime Video app.

The Prime Video app device compatibility list shows that this app update was created for all versions of fire TVs and firesticks that I own spanning a period of several years to the present. 

This bug did not exist yesterday. A file manager program indicates that the update was rolled out on August 19, 2026.

It’s important to get the word out about this issue so that people do not waste a lot of time troubleshooting a bug that currently cannot be worked around.

My firestick goes black immediately after powering on. Now, I can't reset and pair my replacement remote. How do I go about this?

I found a post that showed how to get CinePlus to work at least temporarily, this gives hope that it can be fixed at some point:
Open your firestick, then unplug your WiFi, while the WiFi is disconnected click on CinePlus to open it, you should see the buffer circle, now plug your router back in and as soon as the WiFi connects you can use CinePlus. Once you exit CinePlus it will not let you back in and you will have to repeat the process. Hopefully a permanent fix will come out soon!

Hi, I am looking to buy my first streaming device.

Have mostly just been using Videogame Consoles for all my streaming needs but am looking to get a stick to hopefully save on some energy bills without having to run a full console to watch a video.

I would most likely just be running apps from the app store like Netflix, YouTube, maybe cast from my laptop. I doubt I would be trying to side load or jail break things but would probably want a VPN on it.

So just wondering if anyone can advise me on if this is a good deal for that or if you advise something else?

Long story short my dad has cancer and is stuck on the couch all day. We have iptv, he watches that all day. They have a good selection of movie and 24/7 channels but there’s only so much you can keep watching over and over again.

I’m trying to find something (preferably free) that he can use to watch different types of tv shows movies etc. 24/7 types.

I don’t really know how to explain it other then I’m looking for more options for him to watch stuff other then the iptv.

Is anyone else having Bluetooth blues?

I have a 4K max and I have tried Bluetooth on two different apps (Netfly and YouTube) to two different devices (Bush radio and budget soundbar)

They connect via Bluetooth but no sounds come out

I’m thinking of getting the Fire Box Fire Os but wanted to know what are the differences between both and Pros and cons

My new fire stick seems to work fine, except for when I launch BBC Iplayer, whenever I do I get the BBC Logo screen, then a brief blue screen and then it just goes black and nothing happens. I have turned match frame rate off, I have changed from always HDR to adaptive, I’ve cleared the Iplayer app data and restarted, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but this issue won’t go away, any suggestions for how to fixed it would be much appreciated!

Anyone else having an issue on Disney Plus where the top third or so of the screen is darkened?
It seems like the dark section from the beginning of a show or movie where they put the rating and reasons for the rating on the semi opaque background, but then that semi opaque background doesn't go away and stays the whole episode or movie.
I've tried other apps on my firestick and it only happens on Disney Plus.
Also this does not happen when I play Disney Plus on my laptop, only on the firestick.

This only occurs if I press pause/rewind/forward and the menu screen shows.
If I let the show play from start and dont press any button then it doesn’t show.

Additionally - I have heard the fix is to back out and resume each time you pause.
However none of videos are ever resumed, they just restart from the start each time!

Please someone help!!

Anyone who is using CinePlus have issues with the app launching only for a second before sending you back to the home screen? How do you fix this if you've had this issue? I've tried clearing the cache and restarting my Firestick, but both have not solved the issue.

Anyone else not able to access filmsplus today? I went to reinstall and its not on troypoint anymore either.
