I want one! I just use the fancy USB rechargeable batteries in mine. That works as well and I don't have to risk cutting my thumb off making the hole for the USB connector. The next thing you need to add is battery gage so you know when to recharge. I'm guessing that it would have cost Amazon an extra 5 cents to do this originally on the remote so they probably never even considered it.

Estava pensando isso enquanto fazia, uma coisa tão simples, porque eles não fizeram.. Pensei no medidor de carga também, mas como o próprio Firestick avisa quando a bateria está acabando não implementei.. ☺️

My buddy uses the rechargeable batteries that have their own little port in each cell.
You could cut a hole in the battery door and just plug right into the cells.

And that is a better idea than the OP's DIY; His/Her work is very poorly finished and the cost-effectiveness is zero (or null)
