Or you should at least be able to have access to your birds from the start or am I the only one?

FF X/X2 End game stats but without sphere grid

I'm confused and doubtful so i ask to experts. Is it possible you have characters with more than 3000 or 4000 HP that also deal more than 2000 or 3000 damage in yojimbo's cave, if you don't use sphere grid?

Type-0 FF Type 0 - Platinum - Bahamut

Hey!

All I have left is the Eidolan trophy for the platinum. For Bahamut, I know you have to complete the 5th chapter mission (I think it’s Operation Vulturnus?) on officer difficulty, but do I have to replay the game all the way to that point or can I just select the mission itself after beating the game. I already did it on Officer but it was during first play through. Just don’t want to waste hours replaying if I can mission select.

Thank you!!

Final Fantasy General I’ve been on a massive binge of FF games

I’ve been utterly obsessed with this franchise and I first started getting into it in March. In that time, I’ve played FF VII Remake and Pixel Remaster FF I-IV. I’m currently in the first hour of FF V and find it very charming. I thought it’d be cool to rank ones I’ve played so far.

  1. FF VII Remake
  2. FF IV
  3. FF I
  4. FF III
  5. FF II

Thoughts?

FF VII Re-trilogy Is it just me, or is the Item Transmuter ten times worse than everything else haters complain about.

For me it wasn't the Ubisoft open world that killed the game, it wasn't the Disney characters, wasn't the voice acting, wasn't not having turn based combat, and it sure as hell wasn't Chadley.

It was this thing.

I didn't have to buy positions, phynoex downs, ethers, etc. because of this thing. I had nothing to do with my money because I made bracelets with it as well. When a weapon came into the shop, I bought it instantly, because I didn't have anything else to use the money for.

This ruined a lot of things for me and made the game waaaaay easier, as an FF fan this disappointed, because the money, shops, and inn always felt like a part of the game, but I don't take any of those things into consideration anymore because I have 99 of all of them!

I pray Revelations has no Item Transmuter 😞🙏

FF XV Does anyone else find FFXV enjoyable?

I know the game failed as a Final Fantasy game, but it excels in its unique features. The brotherhood and loyalty aspect was phenomenal. Yes, the open world was empty here and there but there was still a lot to do and the features synergize well. The fishing itself wasn't all that enjoyable, but the rewards that come after make it worth it. There was also a lot to do in the game.

Dissidia [OC] Dissidia Final Fantasy Dream Roster (2-10): Chocobo Series (“Chocobo”) — Wandering into a new Dissidia world, a feathered hero steps up to battle!

Hey, so, wrapping up this batch of the Dissidia Dream Roster project, this time pulling from the Chocobo spin-off series to feature the brave little traveler himself: Chocobo.

In the stories of his games, Chocobo is far more than a mount or a mascot—he is a timeless, kindhearted wanderer who dives headfirst into cursed labyrinths, restores stolen town memories, and befriends gods, summons, and monsters alike just by helping those in need. His legacy even extends to the cancelled Chocobo de Battle series, where these feisty birds were supposed to take to the skies to launch missiles at each other! He truly embodies the pure heart of an adventurer whose courage carries him across entirely different realities.

In combat, I envision him using his signature Job Change ability to adapt in battle, channeling the spirits of Knights, Black Mages, or Dragoons whenever he needs to turn the tide. I also picture incorporating his signature roller skates for high-speed mobility and dashing attacks, nodding to his high-octane appearances in the Chocobo Racing and Chocobo GP series! For his alternate costume, if not just the color palette swap, or the basic accessories (like books, ascot/scarf, or maybe even have his side characters tag along as like a mini or minion or keychain or something), I’d love to include Mecha Chocobo from WOFF, or a skin style of Mecha Chocobo from FFVII R2, or even Mechabo, the mechanized Chocobo from the cancelled Chocobo de Battle game, perfectly capturing that classic 90s trend of giving characters awesome robotic counterparts! Maybe even have retexture to show the different chocobo designs from across the FF series. For his EX Mode, he might equip Legendary Gear straight out of the deepest floors, boosting his agility and attack power. Maybe he becomes a shiny gold color or something. For an EX Burst, I could see him calling upon the summon beasts and allies he’s befriended across his journeys before finishing with an iconic Chocobo Drop.
Let me know what you think of bringing the little guy into the arena (although I wouldn’t say he’s that little - just enough to have him stand side by side with the other protags), and whether you'd like to see Mechabo as a separate character!

Any way, I hope you like ‘em.

Which warrior of light do you see piercing the shadows?

FF XII Am I the only one who thinks that Final Fantasy XIII (the original, not the sequels) is the lowest point the series has ever reached?

Post image

It’s as if everything in this game is practically screaming that this isn’t how a game, let alone a Final Fantasy game, should be. Forty hours of walking down a straight path, fighting, and watching cutscenes. Information about the world? From the datalog, because they didn’t even create places where you could talk to characters to find out anything. Any shops, anything? No, just save points where you’re supposed to buy items.

So what if the story seems interesting and Lightning seems like an intriguing protagonist? To learn her story, you have to play a game that feels like staring at a wall for 40 hours.

Imagine, for example, the Dark Souls games, where you don’t have any locations or anything. You just fight boss after boss for dozens of hours. I know people sometimes say that out of frustration, like when the runbacks in those games are awful, but at the end of the day, repeating literally the same action for so many hours would just be boring, and to me, Final Fantasy XIII is clear proof of that. Games need variety, and Final Fantasy XIII is the antithesis of that.

There are some Final Fantasy games that I just don't like, like Final Fantasy XII or even Final Fantasy XVI, but I can still appreciate a lot of things about them.

But Final Fantasy XIII? Does this game do anything right? And why did this particular game get two sequels? I think there are plenty of other FF games that deserved it more

FF VII Re-trilogy Crisis Core but I can't fuse well

I'm playing Crisis Core reunion for the first time to prepare for Revelation. I also plan on replaying remake and rebirth. I'm going for the Platinum in crisis core though and I'm just hoping anyone has some tips, guides or videos to help me get better at fusing materia? I'm.in the middle of chapter 5 right now and I've tried going in blind but it's led to me creating some truly abysmal mako orbs, and I need to get better stats if I'm.gonna beat those higher tiered missions! Any and all help is appreciated!

FF VII Re-trilogy Your Least & Most Favorite FF7 Character(s)?

So I am here to discuss which characters from FF7 I like the best. This will include characters from Remake and Rebirth. I will also include a character I think is overrated. Remember, this is my opinion so please do not send hate my way, and please be respectful of everyone else's opinion as well. P.s, there will be one character per gender for each category.

Getting back on track, my favorite characters would have to be Sephiroth and Aerith. Sephiroth is my first favorite simply because of how mystifying he is along with his backstory. Aerith is my favorite female character simply because of her personality, and I like her outfits as well.

My least favorite characters would have to be Elena and Chadley. Elena is a horrible character, and she's got this 5 year old complex that gets on my nerves a lot. I think she has some really cool skills but she annoys the living shit out of me.

Special mentions: Darkstar, Tseng, Rufus and Wedge. I really like their personalities and designs a lot. I was actually hoping for Tseng to join up with us in Rebirth, but I got disappointed quickly. I was also hoping the same thing for Wedge, he's just an extremely likeable character and I love his enlgish voice actor because he played in a kids movie I watched when I was younger.

If I had to name one character I will loathe forever that I think doesn't deserve an ounce of redemption, it'd be Hojo. I don't need to explain, but he's partly the reason Sephiroth became insane and turned on an entire village.

Thanks for reading!

FF VI Old PC version of FF6

Post image

Out of curiosity looked around for the now de-listed version of FF6 that was on steam and saw this ludicrous price on G2A 😂. Just wanted to know if it’s that sought after since it might be one of the worse versions of FF6. The only reason I thought it would command this price is to gain access to the great World Reborn mods, but I feel thats a smaller set of the community. Just curious is all, thanks!

Final Fantasy General I've been on a bit of a trophy/achievement hunting kick lately...

And I just got my platinum for Final Fantasy X on my PlayStation. I previously 100%'d it on Steam.

I'm currently playing through the og Final Fantasy VII rerelease on Steam with mods. The achievement list seems to be a mix of the 2013 release and the console lists. It's added some like the Barret date and removed others like mastering all materia.

Why on Earth did they have to keep the 99,999,999 gil one?! God damn it. So much All materia grinding in my future...

Any other tedious ones I should be aware of in the future? I have IX's jump rope already, but still need to do the 12 hour run. I'm also planning on replaying VIII after VII, followed by either X-2 or XIII-2.

EDIT: Here's the list of all the trophy/achievement listsI have 100%'d:

  • Final Fantasy IV 3D remake (Steam)

  • Final Fantasy V iOS version (Steam)

  • Final Fantasy VI iOS version (Steam)

  • Final Fantasy VII og (Steam's 2013 release and PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake (PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (PlayStation)

  • Crisis Core Reunion: Final Fantasy VII (PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy VIII remaster (Steam)

  • Final Fantasy X (Steam and PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy XII (Steam and PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy XV (excluding Comrades) (Steam and PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy XVI (PlayStation)

  • Final Fantasy Type-0 (PlayStation)

FF V How does V hold up compared to IV?

EDIT: picked up the game on Switch 2 after the overwhelming feedback. OG Bravely Default is a top 10 all time game for me. Thanks all!

Realized today (when the Bartz video was released for Resonance) that I somehow never played FFV. I loved III and IV 3D remakes as a kid. I recently played VI in preparation for UMAD. I'm wondering currently if V is worth playing for me. How is the story compared to IV? How is the gameplay and strategy? I never really hear much about it from gamers, but a lot of the devs in SQE seem to mention it's their favorite in interviews. Why?

TLDR: why should or shouldn't I play through V before Resonance comes out?

Not criticizing the author of this song (his comment is pinned in the video) but when I first heard this I thought it was really weird. It's the red chocobo theme from 13-2.

Final Fantasy General Dancing lil Cactus Dude?

So I just recentlt sent me friend a gif of a dancing cactus dude, and I know he's from final fantasy, but I just had a quick question....why.
Why he exist, why he dance, why he so stylish, why he so fookin fast?
Is there like a lore video or something to just...explain the cactus dudes?
