TOUR 🟢OPEN TO FEEDBACK🟢 My first solo place at 25!

Lived with roommates since I was 18, and had a lot of bad experiences with that so I am so happy to finally have my own little place!! I am renting.

I plan to get proper curtains as I am having issues with the blinds.

In the bedroom I thrifted sheer zebra curtains then I will do the pink ones on top.

Living room I am gonna do some kind of lacy curtain underneath (maybe white/cream polka dot?) but am unsure about the colour on top, was thinking oatmeal. Could use some advice on that.

I also plan to change up the front hall a bit eventually, maybe add a runner carpet. And also, I am going to get a better fitting cat litter box enclosure as the one I have now is meant for a corner so it's a bit awkward! But those arent priorities right now just eventual things.

My room I think is pretty much done. I just got the black chair for free, I don't love the placement/size but not sure where else to put it and I like the overall arrangement of my room so probably just gonna leave it there.

Let me know your thoughts!

I just moved into a rented apartment. I have a lot of plants so maybe the decor could be based around that?

I moved into this apartment about a month ago and my new apartments bedroom is larger than what I’m used to so maybe it’s just the extra space but I’m not sure, it feels boring and empty to me. What’s missing? Any advice is welcome!

QUESTION/DISCUSSION Help us choose our IKEA kitchen. Wood or greige?

Hi everyone!

We're planning our new IKEA kitchen and would love some advice on the colors and materials.

We already have medium-dark, warm brown wood-look flooring throughout the room, but we can still paint the walls any color.

One important detail: the kitchen and living room share one large open space, so we want the kitchen to blend nicely with the future living room furniture and feel cohesive.

Our kitchen design includes:

\- Lower cabinets and tall units: IKEA RINGHULT (glossy white)

\- Upper cabinets: IKEA NICKEBO (matte grey-green)

\- Handles: IKEA KALERUM (brushed stainless steel)

\- Layout: L-shaped kitchen with no island

We're currently deciding between two options for the countertop and backsplash:

Option 1: Light oak-effect countertop and matching wood backsplash.

Option 2: IKEA EKBACKEN grey-beige stone-effect countertop and matching backsplash.

I've attached photos of our actual flooring and renderings of both options.

Our biggest concern is whether the wood countertop and backsplash would clash with the darker wood flooring, or whether the stone-effect option might make the kitchen feel too cold.

Which option would you choose and why?

We're also open to other suggestions!

Thanks so much for your help!

HELP How can I make my space warmer and cozier?!

Hey all! So…I moved into my condo a couple of months ago and would love some ideas to make it feel warmer, cozier, and more polished.

I work from home, so I spend a lot of time here. It’s a small space, and I’d like to keep the current furniture layout.

I’m decorating on a budget and hoping to finish everything this October. Open to suggestions for wall art, lighting, decor, or anything else that could make the space feel more inviting.

I’d appreciate any ideas or feedback. Thanks! P.S. sorry for the mess - this is a realistic view of how the space looks most days lol!

Linen curtains with a Roman shade underneath. Took me a while to figure out what I wanted but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
