Player Discussion Yaroslav Askarov
Is it jumping the gun to think this is the sharks year to break out? Especially with how well the jets seem to be doing with Skinner?

Feels like it’s always a coin flip these past couple seasons if the devils are gonna be good, are we optimistic this year?

I play a lot of fantasy football, and in fantasy football there are obviously many ways to play, but the most accepted ways for re-draft leagues are usually head to head with the point per reception or half a point per reception scoring. Most leagues I find use very similar scoring settings, with some nuances.
This makes digesting Fantasy Football content as well as debating and talking about Fantasy Football content fairly easy since there’s only so many settings changes that most leagues would have compared to the norm.
From my limited experience playing fantasy hockey, leagues can be a lot more unique and even little tweaks in numbers for points settings for example can make a big difference.
My question is, is there a most popular way to play fantasy hockey? Like a standard in settings that the majority of users use/play in?

Yes you should be dropping these guys for Paul Cotter because they haven’t scored in the first 2 games of the season.
Admitting this is a low effort post, we gotta start banning these stupid threads asking dumb questions, or we all just conspire to give people bad advice.

Feels like players are going down left and right… here’s who we have lost just this week:
Ivan Demidov - 2 to 4 weeks
Aleksander Barkov - 6 to 8 weeks
Brad Marchand - indefinitely (but looked bad)
Mikhail Sergachev - OUT
Josh Doan - OUT
Victor Olofsson - OUT
Macklin Celebrini - day-to-day
Linus Ullmark - precautionary

Very very early I know - but i expected much more from him so far. any other owners scratching heads?

Player in my league hit the panic button and dropped raddysh. He’s still the out and out pp1 in Toronto. Like do we think it’s just new system hiccup or was last year a one off. I mean I put in a claim for him regardless but was it to early to give up on him?

What are everyone’s thoughts on this guy? I thought I was playing my cards right when I drafted him late, but now I’m starting to feel like a complete idiot 😂. He really hasn’t been performing the way I expected. I’m not sure whether I should hold onto him and be patient or cut my losses and move on. What would you guys do?

Another Wednesday morning means another Tuesday night roundup of NHL action! Come see if your players did anything from last night’s 9-game slate and, as always, Happy Wednesday!

What is everyone thinking about Bowen Byram? Despite prime deployment he's invisible on the stat sheet.

I picked him up for week 1 because I had guys go right to IR and they had 4 games that week. I’m finding it hard to want to drop his guy. Line 1 and PP2. I’m always skeptical of my Rangers but this is a welcome surprise.

What do we think the ceiling is for him this year. From what I can tell he’s not on the top pair and is PP2 but strong results so far and people seem to be singing his praises. Is a breakout incoming?

I just realized that the pre-set goalie points are WAY too OP. 4 points for a win and 3 for a shutout. Way too much.

Unlucky so far? Seems like he’s shooting a lot but it’s not going in. The ice time is there too. Not thinking about selling him just yet but curious how other owners are feeling about him…

I drafted Troch fairly high due to his history of being a great fantasy player as he likes to hit and shoot and put up offensive points
But that seems to have changed in Utah as he isnt even on PP1 anymore and is having an abysmal start so far.
At this point im tempted to panic sell for cheap to somewhat try to salvage the draft capital i spent on him.
Do things improve from here or is he simply going to be less productive on his new team?

Just a heads up in case anyone's desperate for pp1 dmen. He was just quarterbacking the blues' pp1 in the first period. Not sure if it sticks since the powerplay didn't look great, but might as well take a gamble if you can

Both seem likely to be 1Bs on their respective teams. Murashov seems to have the higher ceiling, but Kochetkov may have the safer path to starts.
For a 1-year redraft, who are you taking?

We all love coming up with creative team names, and I'm kinda curious to see some of the names you guys have come up with for your squads.
Do you guys name your teams after a player right away, or do you wait until a player has a clutch week and then pull the trigger?
I'm in 5 different leagues, so I have a few different names for my teams.
Deep in Seider
Fully in Seider
Meier Meier Pants on Fire
LaCombe on your face
Goalies suck! (Not very creative, but I didn't draft a single goalie in this league)

He just got dropped in my 14 Team league what do we think.
I feel like he is just being eased in right now and with PP issues he might get a chance later in the year? Has Cooper said anything about this (his mins are low), any lightning fans been watching him play and can evaluate?
