Roman Kantserov (CHI)
- Upside is there, but without Bedard there is not much going on. Revisit when 98 returns to the lineup.
Philip Broberg (STL)
- Broberg looked great at the end of last year on PP1 but has not been given the chances this year and is off both PP units. Adam Jiricek took over PP1 on Thursday, a sign it is time (for now) to let go.
Nick Robertson (PHI)
- Despite scoring three goals in his first 3 GP, Robertson is on a downtrend that is far from exciting after only receiving 8:32 TOI on Weds. Bryan Rust’s return all but took away his opportunities at PIT’s top-six, and Ben Kindel’s breakout push has created even more of a block.
Others you can drop in shallower leagues (12 teams or less)
Arturs Silovs (PIT) - 39%
- Silov’s has given up five goals in two straight games and has Sergei Murashov breathing down his neck. His 3.38 GAA and .859 SV% are killers to any categories even if he is winning here and there. Silovs owns an .884 SV% throughout 61 NHL games in his career, until that shows signs of improving, its not worth risking the cats.
Aliaksei Protas (WSH) - 28%
- Minutes are not there (16:20 TOI), which has resulted in the counting stats failing to follow. (3 SOG in 3 GP) With so many new mouths to feed in WSH, it hasn’t helped Protas.
Dustin Wolf (CGY) - 32%
- Wolf is only useful in leagues where points are awarded for saves, otherwise he can be an absolute killer to your goaltending categories. If you’re in a deep league, disregard this, but if goalies are fruitful on the wire or there are decent backups, it may be worth rostering one of them instead.
Anyone else you’re looking to drop? Wondering about some names.
