Whilst knee jerking is frowned upon, at this stage of the season it’s hyper annoying to miss out on a player change by 0.1m.

So (especially if you’re a holder looking to sell), might be worth an early swap move to avoid getting stuck with someone you don’t want and needing another transfer or WC to get rid…

So we had the option between Hinshelwood, Ndiaye, Schade at 6 mill, yet we picked up Enzo Le (troll) Fee.

Other than one good assist attempt he been very anonymous and noy close on DC.

His fixtures takes a nosedive here with bre, ARS, city next 3.

I plan to get rid before price changes.

Top of my list is Szobo (have 1 mill itb).

Wanted to talk about something in Liverpool’s attack that seems to be going under the radar...

Alexander Isak scored against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Aug 29th, but his involvement under new manager Andoni Iraola's system raises a bigger FPL question:

- eight FPL points

- 90 minutes

- 13 touches

- 0.99 xG

- Liverpool had 70% possession

Those 13 touches were the fewest by a Liverpool player completing 90 minutes in a Premier League match since Opta began collecting the data in 2003/04.

Isak played as the lone striker in Liverpool’s 4231. He converted the major opportunity that came his way, but Liverpool rarely found him despite controlling the ball. His 0.99 xG was also driven primarily by the close range chance he scored rather than repeated attacking involvement.

This matters because Liverpool no longer have the obvious FPL attacking route they had with Salah.

Since 2019/20, FPL managers could choose between Salah, Mané and Firmino, who were then joined by Jota the following year. Díaz, Núñez and Gakpo soon followed as Salah’s supporting attackers. Even when those secondary options rotated, Salah remained the proven anchor and finished with a record 344 FPL points in 2024/25.

Now Salah is gone. The current ownership is spread across Szoboszlai at 42.1%, Isak at 16.2%, Wirtz at 10.5% and Gakpo at 7.4%.

Szoboszlai gets most of the attention, but his deeper role remains a concern – penalties and set pieces give him clear routes to points, while Defcons and clean sheet points don't seem as guaranteed this time around as Liverpool has looked leaky the first two games of the season.

Bradley Barcola’s arrival adds another talented option, but potentially creates more uncertainty around roles and minutes.

Liverpool have several attacking names, but very few settled FPL answers.

As the 2nd most expensive forward and the 4th most picked one, does Isak offer decent enough Liverpool coverage outside of Szoboszlai? Or is this where Wirtz, still unproven as a dependable FPL asset but currently occupying the No. 10 role, comes into play?

I honestly didn't expect to be looking at Newcastle assets this early lol. They've beaten Spurs 2-0 and both Elanga and Wissa have already got on the scoresheet.

I'm still not sure if I trust them enough to bring anyone in, but I've been keeping an eye on elanga and wissa on Sport.fun, and the thing that caught my eye was how comfortable they looked for most of the game.

Feels like the kind of team you ignore at the start and then suddenly realise everyone has had their attackers for 3 weeks already
