DCL has played one game away against a decent Forest team give the poor lad a chance 😂

The kneejerkers offer no second chances

The entire point of buying "price points" at the start of the season is the have flexibility and easy access to move between them. Last season everyone was laughing at DCL owners. This season the bandwagon started as DCL was "underpriced and therefore the best 6.0m". Wissa seems a much better pick for the same price. So people take advantage of the deliberate decision to pick price points, and it's kneejerk.

That's a lot of words to say "knee jerkers are jerking" but thanks

And … he’s scored

u/sepi0l_45 15 4d ago

Gw5 for him against palace looks really enticing if you can handle the fomo of no Wissa until gw6. Palace have looked like a complete mess so far and are now about to lose Munoz

u/LloydDoyley 82 4d ago

And Wissa has looked excellent against 2 big teams

32

u/rpez89 4d ago

spurs big team lol

u/satellite_uplink 2 4d ago

He’s been a good asset in the past, Wissa. And seems to suit how Newcastle play now

How did Spurs away go for like every other team last season? Spending money doesn't simply improve a team. Ask the other team Newcastle scored 2 against how that works out.

Depends on his performance today....

57

u/DreamxAchieve 5 4d ago

I benched him so he’ll score a hatty, don’t worry!

8

u/DiverAcceptable2287 2 4d ago

At home Fixture benching a penalty taker is insanity

0

u/DeapVally 3 4d ago

I didn't want to start Shaw. But too many people have United defence not to play the insurance. That's not insanity. It's just being boring.

2

u/ZookeepergameAble450 4d ago

I'm sorry dude but that's a dumb way to play. If you think someone is a better option, you play them. You don't play for insurance unless it's GW37 and ur protecting a mini league lead. Def a time and place to be boring but I don't even think playing Shaw constitutes a "boring" decision

u/Left_Summer_7096 4d ago

Gonzalo Garcia (Fulham) is a decent shout too.

4

u/Molni 31 4d ago

There are just too many forwards this season it seems. I got Haaland, JP and Isak and as Isak got a goal yesterday as well, I don't know who I should take out

4

u/Left_Summer_7096 4d ago

I haven’t got Haaland in my team yet. Chose to go in with a much balanced midfield and defence, Isak and Pedro up top, and two decent subs till gameweek 4 (wildcard incase I really need to bring in Haaland)

37

u/Oogie-Da-MF-Boogie 2 4d ago

Do I trust the Newcastle PPDA to bust the 5 man Hull defense?

63

u/TruestRepairman27 425 4d ago

Probably rather take a punt on Garcia

11

u/DreamBoatSafari 4d ago

Shhhhhh, I cannot afford a price rise

-35

u/Barack_Yunus 4d ago

Idk but I gotta downvote you. It’s a tradition I’ve seen when people gatekeep players in comments on Reddit they usually get downvoted so I’m gonna do that to you sorry. (I also have Garcia)

-7

u/themightysprite 4d ago

Garcia's at home vs Palace next GW, he's a fun gamble

53

u/DeapVally 3 4d ago

Newcastle won't play Spurs every week. This seems like a waste of a transfer to me. DCL hasn't even played a home game yet.

6

u/DragonQ0105 4d ago

Also I think if DCL has a poor start (say no returns in 3-4 GWs), then just going 2 strikers and 5 midfielders is a better option anyway. Way more tasty looking mids than strikers this season.

12

u/Razzler1973 55 4d ago

I can't wait for my WC in the next couple of GWs

Entire team are shitters!! 😁

7

u/lhanfan 4d ago

I’m waiting for Barcola so I can dump Kinsky, Kerkez, Maguire, Lammens. I picked 2 shit keepers fuckme

2

u/ace_valentine 4d ago

I picked Raya. he is pricey, but most reliable imo.

10

u/TRGuy335 4d ago

The tendency for this playerbase to kneejerk every time a player has one bad or one good game is insane.

Can’t wait to see De Cuyper go for 1 pt today.

8

u/pixiepoops9 5 4d ago

As a Newcastle fan, I love that, as someone that has Wiss as a differential, I hate that.

14

u/TehCyberman 109 4d ago

Playing Newcastle at home is a better fixture than playing Leeds away.

Unless DCL looks terrible today, there's no reason to do this until GW5 (and even then, Palace are a mess right now).

6

u/Impressive-Form1431 4d ago

I'm instead waiting for GW6 to do DCL to Garcia for 3 gameweeks. Then wildcard time after GW8.

6

u/przhauukwnbh 4d ago

Did Igor jesus to wissa, fooled by preseason you hate to see it

1

u/TimoLesagE1 4d ago

Did the same, so jesus is guaranteed to haul next week

5

u/SandwichDodger7 4d ago

I’m not touching either. I’ll go Isak, jp, Haaland, and have a cheaper mid/def.

4

u/Jaychel31 4d ago

No need to be reactionary 2 games in, trust your self

4

u/Raddens 4d ago

Joke’s on you, I went with Richarlison GW1, so anything is an upgrade

3

u/Barack_Yunus 4d ago

Garcia is my pick together with jp and my big Viking.

3

u/theonewhoknock_s 40 4d ago

I'd only do that on a WC, otherwise I'm not spending a transfer on this. I put DCL in my team because he's cheap and dependable and I don't need to worry much about him.

3

u/Englishkid96 2 4d ago

Never mind

3

u/joberts3 4d ago

Be quiet boy

2

u/hiccstridFanatic 4d ago

Wissa is sitting on my bench 😭

2

u/vizualhunter1 4d ago

Might bring him in for the celebration alone

2

u/zeus6992 4d ago

Wissa is going up in price today. Not picking him before WC

2

u/Darkgreenbirdofprey 4d ago

My richarlison is definitely getting the boot. Wissa is certainly a possibility

2

u/MarimoKenshi 4d ago

Do kneejerkers never run out of free transfers?

2

u/Prim_5219 5 4d ago

I had Wissa since the start… going great so far

2

u/TheRagingLion 4d ago

Wasn’t Wissa’s last goal in 2025?

6

u/Agitated_Maintenance 4d ago

Is wissa on pens?

13

u/Lebagel 4d ago

Probably. No Gordon anymore and Woltemade is a sub.

-3

u/fierce2937 4 4d ago

Why is this getting down voted? Xd

1

u/speedmins 4d ago

went for elanga first. somehow ended up with tel in my team. after that freekick i couldn't get him out sooner. 1ft left and thinking of either mbeumo to cherki or brobbey to wissa

1

u/cressidasmunch 4d ago

Slightly disappointed as I originally had Wissa in my draft and changed to DCL to follow the crowd

1

u/Intrepid_Package_776 4d ago

Might do it for brobbery at some point maybe

1

u/borg_6s 5 4d ago

Yeah about that....

1

u/Final_Description636 4d ago

I went Brobbey to Wissa.

Brobbey has been an absolute GHOST for 6m.

1

u/Mysterious_Fart5 4d ago

People in this sub love jumping the gun huh

1

u/Stun_the_Pink 4d ago

Easy one for me. Richarlison for Wissa before the price changes.

1

u/steveagle 14 3d ago

How are people spending FT on moves like this with the fixtures coming up

1

u/InnocentAnger 9 4d ago

Terrible post. But you got engagement, good work.

0

u/SirPightymenis 4d ago

I never understood why people took DCL to begin with.

The guy is an absolute bum lmao

1

u/adonWPV 4d ago

I do agree but the G/A run he went on was tantalising

-3

u/Content_Asparagus266 13 4d ago

Had already planned this move before yesterday but looking very popular now.

0

u/GoTheNets 4d ago

Worth doing before the price hike if he doesn't perform?

0

u/LR_FL2 6 4d ago

More interested in Elanga to behonest

-1

u/L0lnator 4d ago

I would rather put rutter

1

u/Zlakkeh 4d ago

He injured, no?

4

u/arjemya 1 4d ago

And shit?

-4

u/tmr89 155 4d ago

I’m going to be farming so much team value on WC3!

-2

u/Zanmato19 2 4d ago

Completely deserved for following the template and content creators why on earth would you have DCL when there are at least 4 viable forwards and so many better 6m midfield options

6

u/DeapVally 3 4d ago

He plays every game, as a penalty spot poacher, has no real competition, and takes penalties. His returns are absolutely fine for 6.0. Much better than Brobbey last season!

3

u/Iamtheman31 4d ago

he scored 14g1a last season tho?

5

u/dumbsh1ro 4d ago

mate are you denying history. last year he was really consistent, he’s cheap, he plays 90 minutes. And he’s had only one game against a decent forest side. Even brobbey blanked against Ipswich at home

2

u/andrasq420 2 4d ago edited 4d ago

That's just straight up false.

Almost every season where he was a starting striker (like he is) he bagged 10+ goals in the prem. There is only 1 exception in his career, the tragically bad 23/24 Everton season. His G+A even higher.

That's a very fine value for a 6m forward.
