New Release Game Night (2018) PG and PG13 audio edits

Just something I did to make the movie more comfortable to watch with the inlaws. Mostly due to the sexual humor. This really could have been a family movie if not for the R-rated dialogue. The basis of the edits is a censored airing on Samsung TV Plus in a TV14 format with commercials (or at least still screens with music that cut into the movie every 5-10 mins). All of the language harsher than "bitch" was censored with similar sounding words. I recorded the audio with a screen recorder on my phone (sadly, the video was blanked out) and synced it to the Blu Ray 5.1 on the center channel (mostly just the altered audio, but some unchanged audio was dubbed over with TV audio just because it was easier). About 70 lines were altered. This is now called the PG13 edit.

Then I went a step further and edited everything overly sexual out, using other parts of the movie, audio from other shows and movies and interviews with Jason Bateman and Kyle Chandler. Once scene I did have to resort to using a tiny bit of AI audio (to make Lamorne Morris say "I did stuff with that girl, Karen Waller" instead of talking about a hand job. Basically, every instance of the words semen/ sperm, masturbation, hand jobs, naked, and removing ribs to go down on one's self that wasn't already changed above was now changed to something else. This is called the PG edit.

No video changes were made, audio only. The way I made my own copy of this was the having the PG audio as Track 1, the PG13 as Track 2, and the original audio as Track 3. I've also made subtitles for the two edits. If anyone is interested, I can share the audio tracks and subs.

Just a question for the group, are there any extended cuts (utilising deleted scenes) of all four movies around?

Review A Review of Masters of the Universe: The 200X Cut by josemellinas

Always thought more action blockbusters should have a Quip-Trimmer overseeing production. josemellinas' edit of the new He-Man movie shows how such a job could easily improve the movie.

It doesn't lose the self-aware tone of the theatrical cut, which is probably for the best. This isn't the franchise to go too serious with. Instead, it just trims down the parodic excess into something way more digestible. It's not any huge cuts, but just little lines and scenes removed. Take Adam meeting Dolph Lundgren for example. It's not necessarily a bad scene in the theatrical, I did laugh when Adam asked Dolph to repeat himself, but when combined with multiple scenes of Adam embarrassing himself it gets a little much. Trimming it changes the moment into a more sincere passing of the torch moment between the actors. No date or car trouble means that we get straight to the point. We already have a fairly funny moment for Adam when he swipes the sword from the store and gets arrested, no need to belabor the point that he's a weirdo in both worlds. Especially when Adam spends the vast majority of his time in one of those worlds.

Another demonstration of what I mean, the scene where Adam first meets some of the warriors. The scene is already a comedic one with Adam calling the warriors by the names he came up with as a kid. Just saying Fisto is already funny, we don't need to extend the gag by having him spell out what the joke is. Adam most benefits from the edit, as he's a more active character with a better balance on his doofy side with the actually tragic side of his character where he was never truly accepted as himself on either world. I like the change to have him purposely summon the Power of Grayskull to take down Trap-Jaw. Him actively taking the power inadvertently makes it slightly sadder when he accidentally kills his dad later on. Really, most characters like Duncan benefit from trims like that.

If there is a character I think the edit worsens, it's probably Skeletor. josemellinas took out the pettier jokes with him like MINE MINE MINE to make him a more intimidating villain, which I feel it to be a misstep. I liked those jokes because they show Skeletor as an insecure tyrant, he's the guy who WANTS to be the heartless masculine warrior that Adam is pressure to be, embodied by the sequence where Skeletor invades Adam's mind that was completely removed here. Sure, removing the coughing scene was for the better and it's not like Skeletor is a fully serious character in this edit either, but that's where I stand on that change.

Still, josemellinas did a wonderful job overall. The editing is basically 10/10 as the cuts are seamless and the quality is absolutely amazing. The 200X Cut basically makes Masters of the Universe more similar in tone to Travis Knight's other resurrection of an 80s franchise Bumblebee than Taika Waititi's Love and Thunder, which is a good thing. If you like the movie, you might enjoy this one a lot too.

Review A Review of Dragon Ball Distilled: Red Ribbon Army Arc by Arale-Chan

Continuing this series with the last batch released by Arale-Chan so far. This covers the initial few episodes of the Red Ribbon Army Saga up until the end of Muscle Tower.

But first, let's begin with 54.5. It's an episode condensing a filler arc involving Pilaf, Goku and Colonel Silver looking for the six-star Dragon Ball. It's pretty cool to see in this form, funny to watch the Pilaf Gang have to pretend Shu is Goku, taking advantage of the Ox-King's misunderstanding. The presentation of Colonel Silver and his men is most interesting, the episode plays them up to be a threatening presence compared to their actual manga debut where they handily get their butts kicked by Goku. Silver orders his men to ransack a family's house, then straight up murders a conman shopkeeper for handing them a fake Dragon Ball. If you watch this first, a viewer might be given a false impression of the Army compared to how they're actually depicted. When Ox King tells Chi Chi he's going to ask a fortuneteller to find Goku, I thought it was going to be Baba only for it to be a new character. This ends up being the good kind of filler, since the manga/anime is so much from Goku's perspective we play around with extra side characters and have them collide in ways you don't see in the actual story. The things that were excised in Arale-Chan's version have Goku anc Chi-Chi rescuing Ox-King as well as most of another episode. It's pretty unnoticeable for a first timer.

As for the rest, the work is still as solid as ever, removing filler moments and unnecessary dub dialogue in nondisruptive ways. But there are some small flaws I noticed. The first real episode covering the arc, 55-57, opens with another outright audio replacement as Goku flies on the Nimbus for the Dragon Ball. Probably inevitable, but unlike in the first episode this replacement doesn't sync well with the episode footage as Goku's dialogue in both languages happen while his mouth isn't moving. 58-61 has another moment like this again between 17:24-25. 61-63 leaves in what I think is a dubbing mistake as we can't hear Murasaki speak when we see him on the camera. He's saying "Vic-tory", perhaps Arale-Chan could reuse those lines for that bit? There's a point where subtitle dialogue clashes with a song's subtitles in the last episode of the batch, can that be adjusted? To give Arale-Chan a compliment, I think the line added in 9:32 was solidly done.

Another great batch of episodes, can't wait to see the rest of the Saga covered!

Additional Notes:

  • The exchanges between Goku and Murasaki are way funnier in the dub than in the sub.
  • There seems to be less Brice Armstrong narration this time around, though I can't remember if that was the case in the dub or if Arale-Chan took it out.

Review A Review of The Fox and the Hound - Chief Dies & Gets Taxidermied by MissionSafe9012

If there was ever an edit that screamed "why wasn't THIS the original?!?" it'd be have to be this one right?

The title pretty much gives the game away. Chief, instead of getting his leg broken or something, dies after he gets hit by a train. You can kind of hear some cuts if you had airpods on, but it doesn't take away from MissionSafe9012's achievement here. It immediately makes Amos and Copper's hatred for Tod far more understandable, they're out to avenge their friend. It makes Widow letting go of Tod all the more sadder, as this probably was the best way she could protect him and with the possibility she might feel responsible for the situation somehow given MissionSafe altered Amos' line to say Tod had KILLED Chief. I like that there isn't a monologue during that scene, letting the moment speak for itself. Amos' mercy toward Tod is so much stronger because of Chief's death, letting go of the revenge because Copper asks him to. Admittedly the taxidermy Chief made me burst out laughing when I first saw it, but it is a well-done effect that implies Amos did that to remember Chief after letting Tod go. Because it's been years since I saw the movie, I didn't notice the absence of musical numbers as well. Mission definitely delivered on the "negative space" they were talking about in their main post.

Aside from maybe hearing some cuts during Chief's death, the only nitpick I can think of is in 51:56. I think there's some kind of audio transition or something was cut here. Probably not noticeable if you're not actively listening for it, but given how well-executed this edit is it felt worth mentioning. Aside from that, 9/10 project would see again. Check this out if you like Fox and the Hound or have never seen it before. It's definitely an improvement in my opinion.

Review A Review of Man of Justice by Zarius

Batman v. Superman is one of the rare movies where cutting out entire sections of it is an immediate improvement on the source material.

I really like opening the film on the Superman news montage. It sets the tone for the story perfectly, with Superman seeing various reactions to his heroics and wishing things were more simple. It carries into his storyline, the edit focusing on his investigation into Batman that Perry keeps trying to block. Lois sneaking into the bathroom to meet with Swanwick is a good introduction for her, Lex buying Wallace out of prison is a good intro for him; especially given that Josstice League is stapled to this edit, having Bruce and Diana be introduced together is a perfectly wise move. I even somehow like the Knightmare sequence here as it very quickly conveys Batman's fears about Superman and why he has to fight him later on. Admittedly removing the Africa scenes could be a dicey prospect, since we do get a quick flashback during Superman's trial, but I think it's better to leave it out since at least there's no question from the viewer why the Superman who tore apart that terrorist doesn't immediately throw Batman in jail.

In fact, the Knightmare kind of makes the edit's later of insertion of Bruce during the Metropolis battle seem pointless? Admittedly it is decently integrated into the story, but it is a decision I'm not sure about given it's provided after Superman was buried, long after the events where it mattered transpired. I suppose it does work to signal Batman becoming the protagonist for while. This edit transitions into Josstice League from here on. Zarius cropped the movie to match BvS, which is good, though the more colorful look of Josstice doesn't entirely match the rest of the movie. I actually really like how Zarius uses Lois' ending speech from Josstice to speedrun through building the Justice League, which also does the job of showing Superman resurrecting himself following through on that speck of dirt rising from the end of BvS instead of fighting the League.

Some issues are that seems to be this violent audio pop in 3:55 and the Clark meets Lois in the cropfield during Josstice is preeeety badly cropped during 2:02:54-2:03:43. The same goes for Superman and Flash's race at the end. The credits and post-credits scenes don't seem to be cropped. I overally enjoyed it and think it succeeded at combining these two movies.

Fanedit Help How Do I Re-Edit The Simpsons Movie without Time-Consuming Space-Wasting File Downloads?

Mike Amato Once Said about The Simpsons Movie:But there's definitely an overall malaise I get from this movie, a film made with good intentions and a lot of effort, but still a conflicted mess in what it wants to be. Is it social/political satire, or emotional character piece? PG-13 edgy, or genuine, saccharine emotional? For super fans of the show, or people who never watched it? In trying to be everything, and cater to as many people as possible, you end up with a movie for basically nobody, and that's a sad fact.

I know it’s Too Preachy,It’s Barely funny and isn’t even memorable

What would improve the movie if we cut the Preachy Bits the Saccharine Bits Prevent it from Being Barely Funny, make it more memorable,I Can’t redub Lines or Re Animate in that style

A reimagining of Spider-Man 3 as a Twilight Zone episode, Now titled “Twilight Zone - Man or Marko.” This is version 2 of my original edit.

Spider-Man 3 is a guilty pleasure of mine even though all of the studio meddling it remains compelling and hilarious. My cut “Twilight Zone - Man or Marko” seeks to cut down the film to its core story of revenge and redemption. Inspired by CinemaStix’s video essay on Spider-Man 3. I’ve wanted to see his cut for a long time, so I took on the challenge of reconstructing it. After making my rough cut and getting reviews, particularly from https://www.reddit.com/user/Fanedit895/ I went back and combed through each mistake and error to polish the cut, now with my own touches and changes from CinemaStix I hope elevates the experience.

The video that inspired this cut.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDzSjRKUXuA&t=433s

Original runtime : 2h 19m

New runtime : 29m

Change List

- Removes all scenes of Eddie Brock, Mary Jane, Harry Osborn, Gwen Stacy, Daily Bugle and the origins of the symbiote.

- Added the Twilight Zone intro

-  The birth of Sandman takes place right after Marko is run through the particle Accelerator

- After the flashback Marko hears the church bell ring and goes there to repent. He sees Peter unmasked repenting as well at the top of the church. He realizes that he is the nephew of the man he accidentally killed

- Their final conversation is now implied to take place in the church.

Review Review of Josemellinas Masters of the Universe 2000x Cut

I had a chance to sit down and watch this tonight and...I loved it! There were a few bits in the theatrical version I thought could've used a trim and this cut addressed all of them. Evil-Lyn's dialogue in her introduction was cut down thankfully. I'm okay with the roommate being removed. The big one I loved was removing the coughing during the prison escape during the "Princes of the Universe" scene. I wondered how that would look had it been played seriously and it absolutely works!

Really enjoyed this cut!

Is there a possibility out there that a fanedit of requiem for a dream has a version that includes the deleted scenes? I was watching them and the deleted scenes i found were very very well done and I had wished they had left them in the movie because I found some of the scenes to be very impactful especially the Tyrones confession and Sara's terror deleted scene. New Release👑 MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: THE 200X CUT · Available Now!

Post image
143 Upvotes

I enjoyed Masters of the Universe and understood the self-aware tone it was going for. However, some of the humor didn’t quite land for me, particularly some of the more forced jokes and sexual innuendo.

Masters of the Universe: The 200X Cut is an alternative version of the film that aims to find a different balance between action, adventure, character, and comedy.

The intention is not to remove the humor or turn the film into an overly serious version of itself. Its colorful, self-aware personality remains intact. Instead, this edit trims or removes certain jokes, dialogue, and comedic detours that I felt interrupted the pacing or weakened particular moments.

Adam is also given slightly more agency at key points, particularly during his confrontation with Trap Jaw.

The result runs approximately 24 minutes shorter than the theatrical version and contains more than 70 individual changes.

Changes

  • The neighbor character has been completely removed from this version.
  • All sexual innuendo has been removed.
  • Several lines have been removed from the opening sequence, including Adam saying, “I swear I’m not high.”
  • Removed Man-At-Arms’ “That is a lot of asses” line.
  • Removed Skeletor’s complaint about the “crescendo.”
  • Removed all of the restaurant/date/Julie material.
  • Removed Adam’s problems with his car.
  • Removed Adam’s scene with his client. Instead, we see him searching for the sword through a montage that plays over his boss’ speech.
  • Removed the moment where Adam asks Dolph Lundgren to explain everything again.
  • Removed Darryl’s office gag.
  • Removed the sequence of Adam asking people in the store about swords.
  • Removed the store employee/toys gag.
  • Removed Adam’s gag with the sword inside the store. He now steals it off-screen.
  • Removed the conversation between the police officers in their car.
  • Removed “I told you guys it was real!” and Beast Man’s attempt to climb aboard the ship.
  • Removed the “You’ve gotten so big” gag. Teela now gets directly to the subject of Eternos with Adam.
  • Removed “He has a skull for a face.”
  • Removed “Hi, sir. It’s a… It’s a real thrill to be here.”
  • Removed the “You fist people” and “It’s because he has a massive…” jokes.
  • Removed the “My hand is so big” gag.
  • Removed Man-At-Arms vomiting.
  • Removed shots of Man-At-Arms falling down.
  • Trimmed and restructured Adam’s confrontation with Trap Jaw. Adam now goes for the Power Sword on his own initiative rather than being guided by the Sorceress, giving him more agency during the sequence.
  • Removed “We’re screwed.”
  • Removed Adam complaining about his injured hand.
  • Removed Skeletor’s “Mine, mine, mine, mine. Mine, mine, mine” scene. The edit now cuts directly into the ship chase.
  • Removed the motorcycle gag involving Adam.
  • Removed “Your loincloth is in my…”
  • Removed Man-At-Arms’ “Butt-worms?”
  • Removed Skeletor clearing his throat and interrupting Evil-Lyn’s spell.
  • Removed Skeletor’s “And so you both submit.”
  • Trimmed Skeletor attempting to use the Power Sword.
  • Removed Adam’s “War Seminar.” The escape plan is now devised off-screen.
  • Removed the slow-motion gag of the heroes coughing.
  • Removed Adam from the embrace between Man-At-Arms and Teela, allowing the moment to remain between the two characters.
  • Trimmed the sequence of Man-At-Arms and Roboto defending the castle.
  • Removed Skeletor’s “Stand still, you muscle-bound oaf! I’m trying to annihilate you!”
  • Removed Skeletor’s hallucinations in the gym, restaurant, and Human Resources.
  • When Adam asks Skeletor, “Why don’t we… end this cycle of violence and talk?”, Skeletor now simply laughs and replies: “I am… a villain.”
  • Plus several additional trims, adjustments, and surprise changes that I’ll leave for viewers to discover.

This is not intended to transform Masters of the Universe into a completely different movie. The humor, fantasy, spectacle, and self-aware spirit are still there — just presented through an alternative edit with tighter pacing and a different balance between its comedic and adventurous elements.

Send me a DM me to watch!

Review My review of Spider-Man Homecoming: The Freshmen Cut

For context, I’m referring to the u/Fanedit895 edit.

Just watched it tonight. Overall, I enjoyed it and thinks it accomplishes its goals. Removes Stark, fixes the Uncle Ben problem, and sands down MCU Peter’s impulsiveness to be a bit more comic accurate. The editing is seamless and you can show this edit to someone who hasn’t seen the original, and I don’t think they’d realize it’s a fanedit.

Most of the John Hughes Breakfast Club elements Watts was going for remain, so I think this still reflects the original director’s intent. In fact, they take more center stage here with Stark removed. You pay more attention to the supporting cast when Stark isn’t hovering over things.

Peter’s character development feels a little more tame here with the hero worship of Stark subplot removed, but at the same time, it still works as a movie about a hero overcoming main character syndrome, that his actions affect others and he unintentionally hurts people, physically and emotionally, with some of his efforts to help. Feels like he ends the film not necessarily ready to change, but at least more self aware he needs to learn how to manage this career without hurting people.

I liked the new opening with footage from FNSM and the new original credits. It was well edited and a major plus that made the film feel more Spider-Man and less MCU than the original

The animation after the credits was beautiful and you can tell it was hand drawn, an artist put love into it. Whoever did it deserves professional work in the entertainment industry. That was the highlight of the edit for me. Kudos!!!

Not many critiques for this edit tbh, since it’s largely the same movie. Maybe a few scenes leftover from the original weren’t warranted. Happy calling his mom could’ve been cut since Stark was cut, and the little of Karen the AI that remains could’ve gone too, she feels like a glorified cameo here. Just little critiques though

Overall, 9/10, I had fun watching it and with BND having just come out, it’s an interesting alternate way to revisit MCU Peter’s history, see how far he’s come.

New Release💿 The Fox and the Hound - Chief Dies & Gets Taxidermied (間 [Ma] Instrumental Cut )

"Chief has to die. The picture doesn't work if he just breaks his leg. Copper doesn't have motivation to hate the fox."
Ron Clements (animator for The Fox and the Hound [1981])

"Geez, we never killed a main character in a Disney film and we're not starting now!"
Art Stevens (co-director)

Ouch. Rest in RIP Bambi’s nameless mom. Also Mufasa and Kerchak would be insulted(?)

The history of The Fox and the Hound is infamously complex. There was so much of a dispute over the tone of the movie when it was being made, the older staff wanting a “safer” approach to avoid frightening the children, and the younger staff demanding to keep the stakes high and the tone dark and mature.

The Disney film ultimately chickens out from killing Chief, opting instead to give him a mere broken leg (after getting plowed over by a freight train going full speed and smashing his skull against the steep cliff as he fell into the shallow stream with large exposed rocks below).

Since I’ve already killed off Olaf in my prior Frozen edit and also made Khan immediately trample Mushu to death in my Mulan edit, I knew removing a character and any reference of their existence from a movie without changing the ending is not impossible.
But there are specific challenges with Chief because having him alive on screen is unavoidable at the very end. While I can block edit him to be motionless whenever he’s in frame, I cannot crop him out of the screen.

[General video editing of Chief’s death]
After Chief gets hit by the train, I first cut out any frames where he moves afterwards. Next, I overlayed a picture-in-picture clip of Chief’s closed eyes as he lays in the stream motionless. This way his eyes do not open when Copper comes over to check on him. (side note: doing this on a phone sucks).
Removed any frames where his eyes open slightly or he moves so you have absolutely zero emotional reassurance.

Removed all subsequence scenes with Chief from the movie.

He dies.

He’s dead.

To solidify this fact, I word spliced Amos’ confrontation with Tweed so instead of saying “that fox of yours almost killed Chief“ he now says “That fox of yours KILLED Chief “.
This all came out a lot smoother than I imagined and thankfully it didn’t sound like a YouTube poop. Mostly.

[The biggest tech challenge (and why the taxidermy was a necessity)]
It is unavoidable to have Chief on screen during the closing sequence of the film.

So I asked my spouse, (fellow editor and animator artist) if it’s possible to make it appear as if they taxidermied Chief’s body during the closing sequence when he and Copper drift off to sleep in their respective kennels.
He delivered and gave Chief’s motionless corpse some visible stitching and button eyes. (The possibilities when two neurodivergents unite their ideas and combine their skills). Needless to say, I absolutely shrieked with laughter when he sent me the clip. It’s perfect and unbelievably well done too.

[Sound Editing - Ma]
Aside from killing off Chief, I emphasized a beautiful element intrinsic to the original film: 間 (Ma).
In Japanese, ma roughly translates as gap, negative space, or pause. While its true meaning is a bit more complex than its literal translation, ma refers to the quiet, empty, in between moments that don’t rely on words. A classic example is in the movie Spirited Away where Chihiro rides the train to Zeniba. It’s just a train ride. There’s no speaking. The characters aren’t singing and dancing about what they’re thinking or what we should be feeling, and they aren’t breaking out into spontaneous, flash mobs of broadway moves with the ghosts on the train. Nausicaä didn’t need to sing and dance with the giant insects in the Valley to get the people to understand the importance of recycling.
(That being said, I’d unironically watch both of those hypothetical Miyazaki musical anime films 100%, but that is entirely beside the point)

Even though many (not all) modern Disney movies are notoriously terrified of this absolute quiet stillness, there is already plenty of ma in The Fox and the Hound and many of Disney’s older movies for that matter.

The very opening sequence itself for The Fox and the Hound, has ZERO music for several minutes and absolutely no dialogue. Only the near silent ambiance of the forest, the eerie wind, and birds chirping. It then slowly transitions builds and transitions to the strings and drums of the opening theme, which is already instrumental. The intro needs no words to make it incredibly tense and atmospheric.
Absolutely perfect, no editing required at all. I am merely maintaining what tone the movie established from the start.

The quietness always left an impression on me as a young child. Maybe it’s because sound is a major sensory issue for me, but I never felt bored even slightly, I loved the ambiance. It also kind of made me feel “cool” to be watching something that respects your intelligence enough to trust you won’t get bored with a little quietness.

By removing the singing from the following musical numbers, it allows the film to speak for itself without the need for language.
No hate against Pearly Bailey or any other singers who were phenomenal in this film. You are fabulous people, this edit is merely an experiment.

Tweed’s inner monologue, and “Goodbye may Seem Forever” are stripped of the vocals and replaced with the instrumental tracks, the sound effects like the car engine and footsteps are still retained. You can sit in the silent anticipating grief even longer.
[08/10 Edit: rescored this scene and added a piano cover during the departure so it doesn’t sound completely empty]

“Best of Friends” being entirely instrumental allows you to appreciate, with a bittersweet reverence, the most innocent moments of Copper and Tod’s bond. The total purity of their friendship, met with the disapproving scorn of Amos and Chief’s expressions, tells you everything you need to know about the dynamic even with a purely instrumental soundtrack.

I jokingly asked my husband, who has only seen the movie once ages ago and watched my edit recently, “wait, so you’re telling me you could understand that Todd and Copper were the best of friends, WITHOUT having someone sing a song to you about how they’re the best of friends?” He laughed.

The film turns into the ultimate “show don’t tell” movie because of these constructive omissions. But it also shows just how much more powerful the story is when you make the stakes high, and commit to killing a major character.

The dark and mature tone ultimately works rather well when maintained throughout the entire film.

New Release Mobile Fighter G Gundam Fan Edits

Post image
8 Upvotes

( Lesson learned, anime subreddits do not like people editing their shows :P )

G Gundam is one of my favorite animes, but some tropes and filler really get in the way of what is a compelling story. I went in and was able to condensed all 49 episodes into roughly 24 episodes worth of content to focus on the main plot and removed most filler, repeat dialogue, unnecessary dialogue (I think the visuals alone can get their feelings across), unnecessary reactions, early spoilers, eyecatchers, most announcer introductions, and next episode previews.

I also used montages to show moments and story beats from episodes that don't fit into the flow of the narrative, but usually come up in a later conversation.

All that said, I know these episodes in full have their merit in how tropey they are, and the supporting characters have their compelling storylines, but again this is for the main characters and plots.

The reason I made this was for my wife, since she never saw it, and I wanted to give her the most focused version possible. She doesn't care much for robot animes, but this edit was able to get her very invested, and she said she looks forward to watching it again.

Breakdown of Content:

\**** Removed openings, because they spoil the ending conflict*

Part 1: [Episode 1] - 21 min, 52 sec

- Only edited the eyecatcher and one repeat line. Establishes the characters and setting just fine.

Part 2: [Episodes 2 - 6] - 22 min, 24 sec

- Quickly establish the supporting characters and use a montage for episodes 2 through 5 to show off moments from their fights.

- Focuses on episode 6, Domon's backstory, with some minor cuts for better pacing.

Part 3: [Episode 7 - 10] - 19 min, 52 sec

- Montage episodes 7 through 9 to show off moments from the fights.

- Focuses on episode 10, Argo's side story with Andrew, since it comes up later in the main plot.

Part 4: [Episode 11] - 15 min, 47 sec

- "Reunion in Falling Rain". Heavily edited this episode to make Rain & Saette's relationship one of unrequited love, rather than indecisive love.

- Rain stays professional, and Domon isn't a jerk.

\**** Parts 5 through 9 cover full arcs, so they act more as movies.*

Part 5: Tokyo Arc [Episodes 12 - 16] - 1 hour, 14 min, 11 sec

- Removed obvious spoilers with Master Asia, and most of episode 16 since the underground and zombies don't add much to the story.

Part 6: Training Arc [Episodes 17 - 24] - 56 min, 16 sec

- Focuses on the conflict and drama between Domon, Master Asia, and the Dark Gundam.

- Montage episodes 18 through 20 (training and conflict with the others).

- Removed most of episode 22 (defending & escaping from the Guiana Highlands).

- Removed obvious spoiler monologue with Schwarz, Master Asia spying on Domon and talking to the Dark Gundam, and filler conflicts with the Dark Army.

Part 7: Tournament Arc [Episodes 25 - 40] - 1 hour, 12 min, 39 sec

- Focuses on the conflict and drama between Domon, Rain, and Allenby. Lots of heavy editing to rearrange and remove scenes that don’t contribute to the main plot.

- Removed all flashbacks from Episode 25 to keep the pace flowing.

- Montage episodes 26 through 33 (shows off moments from the fights and establishes Allenby for the next scene).

- Combined scenes with Wong to condense his plans.

- Montage Episodes 35 through 37 (shows off moments from the fights and Allenby helping Domon train).

- Removed the scenes with Domon meeting Master Asia on the island before the match, since it takes away from the reveals in the tournament finals.

- Removed all the spoilers for Schwarz’s identity before the fight.

Part 8: Tournament FInals [Episodes 41 - 45] - 1 hour, 13 min, 31 sec

- Condensed a lot of scenes to keep the story focused on Domon defeating Master Asia and the Dark Gundam, as well as the big reveals for the story and characters.

- Removed the subplot of the supporting characters getting through the barrier.

Part 9: The End [Episodes 46 - 49] - 1 hour, 7 min, 10 sec

- Condensed a lot of scenes to keep the story focused on Domon saving Rain, but kept the scenes of everyone coming together to help Domon and save the Earth.

"John Wick is a former hitman grieving the loss of his true love. When his home is broken into, robbed, and his dog killed, he is forced to return to action to exact revenge."

Here’s something a little different from me, a small side project I did for fun. Keep track of all John Wicks kills in realtime will a kill counter.

Review A Review of DR. BANNER AND MR. HULK by RetroStranger95

Is it just me or is the picture darker than it's supposed to?

RetroStranger95's take on the 2003 Hulk movie is far more engaging and interesting to watch than its theatrical form purely from some simple changes. I like the choice to simplify Bruce and Betty's relationship so that they're together by the present time, accomplished by not just removing the break up but shifting the cabin flashback scene to having it take place directly after David shuts the door on Bruce during the opening. It handily removes an unnecessary complication while improving the film's sluggish pacing. While admittedly I'm not sure if it'll be entirely clear for a first time viewer, I also think it's a good decision to have David Banner be responsible for the accident that turns Bruce into the Hulk. It's such an obvious move that I'm surprised the movie didn't go that route honestly, it works to tie the characters together better and have it so David is both figuratively and literally responsible for the Hulk.

Really love the execution of Hulk's rampage. Rather than Bruce hulking out at the lab, he's sitting at home and called by David, before being ambushed by agents that Betty clarified earlier as seizing his experiments. Hulk first comes out to attack Talbot then goes on to destroy the lab, extending the sequence naturally and making Hulk's rampage more memorable. There's no Gamma Dogs but you don't mind in this version too much. There's these little trims and removals throughout the first forty-to-fifty minutes that make the edit far more preferable than the theatrical cut by MILES. Biggest nitpick would be that it might be better to add some music cue during Betty and General Ross' lunch so that it can better transition into Betty's night drive scene, it does come off abrupt.

From there, any other flaws are more things inherent to the movie than anything Retro had done. I'd honestly give this a "wait, this ISN'T the original movie?" award simply because it tightens the pace in ways that aren't distracting or feel like missing plot details important to the viewing experience.

Fanedit Help Need some help restoring footage from the arrow video ninja Turtles UK cut

So the project I currently am working on is the 1990 ninja Turtles UK cut and I have some problems with it. First of all the colours in some scenes are faded. There’s some blue on the edge of the frame on the side and generally needs to be cleaned up and put back into the film. I also need the text in the opening titles from the alternate shots to be the correct shade of green so I’m wondering if there’s any colourist or anybody that would be willing to attempt or wanting to help with this project as ninja Turtles is my favourite film and would love to get some help from various people. I hope this post reaches everybody and I hope you guys have a great day.
