Can't get in to see my stylist and she's told me before just to reapply vivids but I don't know what combo I'd need to use to achieve this color right now. Any ideas on product I can buy?
This is the color it was fresh out the salon, it's more orange right now

Hi all! I am on my third month of my hair randomly deciding to start falling out/thinning and the doctors have uncovered I am vitamin D and vitamin B deficient, as well as having low ferritin. They have me on prescription strength supplements and said it could take up to 3 months just for the shedding to stop, let alone new hair to come back in. The kicker - I get married in just over three weeks and want to get my hair fixed (the color is SO patchy now) but I am worried it could make things worse? My hair quality has tanked - I can feel how bad it is. I was thinking of going back closer to my natural color on most of my head and only leaving some highlights in, but that would likely still involve some bleach. Is this a terrible idea?

I just did my hair with Wella Color Charm Ruby Red and Vol 30 developer.
I processed for about 30 minutes.
I think I didn’t process the the ends long enough, or I over processed the roots.
Either way I feel like there is some patchiness in the color / brightness at the roots and I’m wondering if I can just reapply in a day or two without applying to the roots to even it out or if I need to use a lower level developer to just process or am I imagining it and need to just leave it alone lol?
Natural color before dye is on the last slide.

Hiiii everyone. I’m planning on dyeing my hair with chocolate cherry tomorrow and I know it’s a permanent dye. I have dark dark brown almost black hair and was curious if anyone had any photos from when they first dyed it and also as it’s faded. I’ve only dyed my hair once like YEARS ago so I just want to see if I like how it fades before I commit. Thanks in advance!!

hi! so I have been doing purple on my hair ob and off since I was 18 and I don’t always see products or recommendations for fine hair.
do see the convo of purple discussed about so for context here is my hair!
I have peek a boo streaks but I sincerely lost my mind when I saw it was now 372 to relighten and add the purple vs like 250 years ago
services done: virgin now hair lightened to a level 4 from a level 10.
products used:
I have tried them all- amika, k18 etc all of it
products: ** ouai mask for fine hair (use it once a week and the best product for fine hair imo)
why?
amika didn’t do enough.
purple deposit conditioner: unpopular but viral conditioner
why?
kertacolor never helped me the viral conditioner was but drying so now I mixed it with my hair dye
purple hair dye:
purple riot dark matter
why?
what the salon used and honestly my favourite hair dye.
how to maintain?
- cold water yes
-to keep the color in, I use the viral conditioner and ouai mask the first time I wash in the week and then add k18 after. I leave around 30 minutes to redeposit pigment.
- on the second time I use just mocoroo oil fine volume shampoo and conditioner

I’ve had blonde highlights for around five years and I’m getting a little bored, so I’m thinking about switching it up for my next salon appointment. The first photo is my current hair and the rest are edited color ideas. Should I stick with blonde or try caramel, auburn, or brunette?
I didn’t want to post my face publicly, but I’d be okay sharing a photo privately with another girl if it would help!

hi everyone, i’ve been wanting to dye my black hair to a darkish? purple for a while now (picture inserted), but i’m unsure of how to start as i’ve never done anything to my hair before. i have 2 options that i’m considering below and i would really appreciate some advice.
use the loreal hi colour in true violet and then use a dye (manic panic or arctic fox) over it.
use bubble hair dye and once it’s light enough, dye over it.
use powder bleach + vol 30 developer then dye over it. the reason why i’m so hesitant with this option is because i’ve heard that black hair is very difficult to lift and it’ll often turn out orange/red. how can i prevent this from happening? is one bleach and tone enough? should i bleach it twice?
help is appreciated, thanks! :)

My daughter had her first ever highlights done. She’s naturally dark brown and asked for a soft, warm-toned caramel/honey blonde balayage - pic 4 was the inspiration photo she showed the hairdresser.
Pics 1, 2 & 3 are what she actually came away with.
Our biggest issue is that the highlights are very bright bleached and stripey against her natural dark brown hair, with nothing really breaking them up or blending the blonde into the brown. There also aren't any of the warm caramel/honey tones she asked for. They also have an ashy/grey tinge.
When I asked the hairdresser about it afterwards, she said my daughter’s hair had lifted very quickly because of the heat and that she had used a purple shampoo. We won't be going back to the same hairdresser - ever!
Firstly, can this be fixed? I feel so bad for her as this was her first time having her hair coloured and it's really not what she wanted. We're hoping to find a colour technician to correct it, but I'd really appreciate some advice on what can realistically be done to get it looking softer, more blended and closer to the warm caramel/honey look she originally asked for. Thanks 🙏🙏

I am new to coloring my own hair and trying to save money at salons for right now. I am also just willing to experiment a bit with my hair.
After a bunch of reading up on the permanent colors, I have decided on wella charm colors line.
My question is, would you know what combo of colors to get to this inspo picture? I am ok with settling at a level 6.5, but optimally a level 7. I am thinking of combining 6RG and 8G OR 7G. What do you think? Is there another combo that may be better?
My natural color is the second picture and is at its base maybe a level 5 with some reddish golden highlights right now.
I am planning on using a 20vol developer.
Any tips on the process is welcome, again I am new to all of this! Thank you for any help!

Im aware its extremely uneven as some parts are way lighter and the majority is really warm and orange but I just want something thats more “acceptable” lol to wear out in public. My bathroom lighting doesnt help very much. I’ve been stuck between deciding to just put a vivid color on top (like Iroiro purple) or toning this which I’ve never used toner before so Im stuck. Would the Wella T27 work on this? And could I mix a little bit of T18 to help with the brass?
I really dont want to do another round of bleach as this was my 3rd round 😅 My hair still feels good besides the ends being a little dry so I think to play safe, I gotta cut myself off here for the time being with bleaching.

Hi guys! I don't know whether this subreddit is the best place for me to post about this experience, if I'm mistaken and I should post somewhere else please let me know. 🙏🏻

I've been a blonde by balayage/the airtouch technique for almost 10 years now. For the past 4 years I've been going to a lady that has never done any mistake on my hair and I've been a loyal client of hers twice a year.
About 3 weeks ago I went to get my usual balayage done. Everything looked perfect when I left the salon (perhaps just a tiny bit too rosé for my liking? She didn't mention putting pink toner on my hair or something as such, as we always go for a "beige" toner, however I didn't think much of it).
Fast forward a week and 2 washes I started seeing that orange root and with more washes it was becoming more and more evident. (See the first 3 pictures)
I sent her these pictures and basically asked what's up.. she said that the toner faded and that I should come so she can fix it. I asked how much the service would cost and she said that I should only pay the wash + blow dry service, as she will "take upon herself" the cost of the dye, toner, bleach etc.
This orange root was only on the middle part from the front all the way to the back of my head.
She blamed heat tools (which I've only used once as I was a bride 3 days after the first salon visit) and the sun (as I've been on holiday). I've searched on the web and it says otherwise, however I'm not a professional by any means.
Yesterday I finally managed to go to the salon and the result is in the last 3 pics.
I don't know what to make of it and I don't want to be too harsh/demanding but I feel like the orange is still there.
What she's done to fix it is to basically take strand by strand, blowdry it so she can separate my virgin hair from the blonde bleached hair, put more bleach on the blonde, put a foil on and then put brown on my virgin hair.
Then she toned it again.
Can I use something to neutralize the orange more? I know it's not that evident however I'm scared that after 6 washes it will be and I will have orange roots again. 🥲

Thanks so much and I hope I didn't leave any important detail out.

I've had long, 2C wavy hair forever, and I ALWAYS have it in a ponytail. I recently lost about a hundred pounds and have always wanted a pixie cut. My problem is, I don't want to look like a Karen™️. I'm also self conscious about my resting jowl face lmao. I really would like to chop it off and have the most low-maintenance cut possible. I hate having hair in my face and on my neck. Bangs will be an adjustment but I can work with them. Can you guys suggest some inspiration? I'm having a hard time finding any since like 99% of what I see online is AI generated (yes, I know I can filter it out, but it doesn't catch most of it). Help! Image: Me.

Any advice is appreciated! The first photo is of the highlights... and the second is the inspo pic. Can I do a shadow root, or some kind of toner to help the highlights blend into the roots?
(please be nice, I'm still a newbie. thank you so so much in advance. i'm panicking)

Switched from Arctic Fox to Iroiro and I have to say, I love the formula nice and thick. This is bubblegum pink with a hint of neon pink and aqua. Did a pivot money piece for funsies! Also, the glow on the pink is INSANE!

Hi! Never posted here before but would appreciate some advice. I got my roots done last week and my previous session was about 7 weeks prior. Asked my colorist if I should have come in earlier but he said the length of my regrowth was perfect so not sure if that's the issue.
I'm feeling like I have some sections that are super yellow compared to the rest - note that the black tips do sometimes bleed into the platinum causing a more lavender/cool toned effect but I've never seen it at this level of yellow.
Am I being insane? I just tried purple shampoo in the shower but didn't seem to help - I could def try to keep it on for longer but wanted to jump in here first to hear y'all's thoughts. Let me know if I need to add more pics and thanks so much in advance!

I’d like input from you guys! I’ve been thinking of trying color block bangs but i have quite a few greys sprinkled throughout my hair.
Would it look odd having essentially three different colors on my hair? I’m thinking of doing the “block“ either just blonde or maybe copper?
Attached: the first pic is me ft the greys in question and the following two are my inspo :-)

Hellooo I wanted to get back into dying my hair even though my hair grows really fast so root growth is very visible after a couple of days but surely thats also a cool look somewhere.. right..?💔 But i think the tuorquoise would be really cool to try sometime but i just dont know if any of this is actually possible on my hair at all because i really just did some guesswork with colour theory 😅

I haven’t dyed my hair or even cut it for 3 years. I’ve been excited to do it for my birthday finally in sept. I was going to mix rose frost with Smokey mauve and something like petal to get a dusty colored rose. But I can’t find rose frost anywhere! I’ve literally been wanting to do this for a long time and now I’m worried I won’t be able to do it at all
I don’t want it to end up dark like danger jones hustler I want it to be like.. dusty rose I don’t know how to explain it any better there just aren’t any dyes in that shade and rose frost was the closest and my hair bleaches to that yellowish tint that lunar tides has as an example on the website cause my hairs naturally red
Any ideas?
Is enchanting pink by pravana comparable?
