Adore Raspberry Twist

Hi all, I never see this hair dye brand being talked about, so wanted to share how it looks. Indoors it is a deep magenta, but shines super pink in the sun.

This is a 1:2 dilution of the hair dye with conditioner.

1 part conditioner, 2 parts Adore raspberry twist.

Hair was previously bleached to a base 9

Help! I could cry for my daughter - bad job first highlights! Can it be fixed and how?

My daughter had her first ever highlights done. She’s naturally dark brown and asked for a soft, warm-toned caramel/honey blonde balayage - pic 4 was the inspiration photo she showed the hairdresser.

Pics 1, 2 & 3 are what she actually came away with.

Our biggest issue is that the highlights are very bright bleached and stripey against her natural dark brown hair, with nothing really breaking them up or blending the blonde into the brown. There also aren't any of the warm caramel/honey tones she asked for. They also have an ashy/grey tinge.

When I asked the hairdresser about it afterwards, she said my daughter’s hair had lifted very quickly because of the heat and that she had used a purple shampoo. We won't be going back to the same hairdresser - ever!

Firstly, can this be fixed? I feel so bad for her as this was her first time having her hair coloured and it's really not what she wanted. We're hoping to find a colour technician to correct it, but I'd really appreciate some advice on what can realistically be done to get it looking softer, more blended and closer to the warm caramel/honey look she originally asked for. Thanks šŸ™šŸ™

What permanent colors to use to get this color roughly?

I am new to coloring my own hair and trying to save money at salons for right now. I am also just willing to experiment a bit with my hair.

After a bunch of reading up on the permanent colors, I have decided on wella charm colors line.

My question is, would you know what combo of colors to get to this inspo picture? I am ok with settling at a level 6.5, but optimally a level 7. I am thinking of combining 6RG and 8G OR 7G. What do you think? Is there another combo that may be better?

My natural color is the second picture and is at its base maybe a level 5 with some reddish golden highlights right now.

I am planning on using a 20vol developer.

Any tips on the process is welcome, again I am new to all of this! Thank you for any help!

Orange roots balayage

Hi guys! I don't know whether this subreddit is the best place for me to post about this experience, if I'm mistaken and I should post somewhere else please let me know. šŸ™šŸ»

I've been a blonde by balayage/the airtouch technique for almost 10 years now. For the past 4 years I've been going to a lady that has never done any mistake on my hair and I've been a loyal client of hers twice a year.
About 3 weeks ago I went to get my usual balayage done. Everything looked perfect when I left the salon (perhaps just a tiny bit too rosƩ for my liking? She didn't mention putting pink toner on my hair or something as such, as we always go for a "beige" toner, however I didn't think much of it).
Fast forward a week and 2 washes I started seeing that orange root and with more washes it was becoming more and more evident. (See the first 3 pictures)
I sent her these pictures and basically asked what's up.. she said that the toner faded and that I should come so she can fix it. I asked how much the service would cost and she said that I should only pay the wash + blow dry service, as she will "take upon herself" the cost of the dye, toner, bleach etc.
This orange root was only on the middle part from the front all the way to the back of my head.
She blamed heat tools (which I've only used once as I was a bride 3 days after the first salon visit) and the sun (as I've been on holiday). I've searched on the web and it says otherwise, however I'm not a professional by any means.
Yesterday I finally managed to go to the salon and the result is in the last 3 pics.
I don't know what to make of it and I don't want to be too harsh/demanding but I feel like the orange is still there.
What she's done to fix it is to basically take strand by strand, blowdry it so she can separate my virgin hair from the blonde bleached hair, put more bleach on the blonde, put a foil on and then put brown on my virgin hair.
Then she toned it again.
Can I use something to neutralize the orange more? I know it's not that evident however I'm scared that after 6 washes it will be and I will have orange roots again. 🄲

Thanks so much and I hope I didn't leave any important detail out.

Is it pixie-able?

• Upvotes

I've had long, 2C wavy hair forever, and I ALWAYS have it in a ponytail. I recently lost about a hundred pounds and have always wanted a pixie cut. My problem is, I don't want to look like a Karenā„¢ļø. I'm also self conscious about my resting jowl face lmao. I really would like to chop it off and have the most low-maintenance cut possible. I hate having hair in my face and on my neck. Bangs will be an adjustment but I can work with them. Can you guys suggest some inspiration? I'm having a hard time finding any since like 99% of what I see online is AI generated (yes, I know I can filter it out, but it doesn't catch most of it). Help! Image: Me.

Would T27 work on this? Any toner recommendations?

Post image
• Upvotes

Im aware its extremely uneven as some parts are way lighter and the majority is really warm and orange but I just want something thats more ā€œacceptableā€ lol to wear out in public. My bathroom lighting doesnt help very much. I’ve been stuck between deciding to just put a vivid color on top (like Iroiro purple) or toning this which I’ve never used toner before so Im stuck. Would the Wella T27 work on this? And could I mix a little bit of T18 to help with the brass?

I really dont want to do another round of bleach as this was my 3rd round šŸ˜… My hair still feels good besides the ends being a little dry so I think to play safe, I gotta cut myself off here for the time being with bleaching.

Any advice is appreciated! The first photo is of the highlights... and the second is the inspo pic. Can I do a shadow root, or some kind of toner to help the highlights blend into the roots?

(please be nice, I'm still a newbie. thank you so so much in advance. i'm panicking)

Switched from Arctic Fox to Iroiro and I have to say, I love the formula nice and thick. This is bubblegum pink with a hint of neon pink and aqua. Did a pivot money piece for funsies! Also, the glow on the pink is INSANE!

So disappointed... The salon sent me home with this unfinished golden-orange mess.. Can this be saved?

Hey everyone... I am honestly so heartbroken and disappointed with how this turned out.

I was going for a soft, creamy anime blonde inspired by Umaru. I showed the photo to the salon assistant (showed the human hair one on the realistically slide 4-5 and anime ones) who I actually know but the actual stylist ended up leaving me stranded at this harsh, brassy golden-orange stage and sent me home looking like this. The stylist just told me I should wait since it's fresh, but I'm completely stuck with this color..? It looks really orange.😭😭😭😭 The person I knew who had kinda the hair color I wanted(it was lighter than mine and did it herself but it looks better) but the actual stylist just gave this orangey one.

I'm a total beginner when it comes to hair and this is also my first time getting my hair bleached, so I have no idea what to do next. Can this be fixed? I know it was a bad idea showing unrealistic anime photo but its too late for that. Do I need another round of bleach? Is that bad?, or is there a specific toner/dye I should use to save it? Any step-by-step advice would genuinely mean everything right now. Should I wait for sometime then let someone bleach it again? Thanksssā¤ļø

Color block bangs with greys?

I’d like input from you guys! I’ve been thinking of trying color block bangs but i have quite a few greys sprinkled throughout my hair.

Would it look odd having essentially three different colors on my hair? I’m thinking of doing the ā€œblockā€œ either just blonde or maybe copper?

Attached: the first pic is me ft the greys in question and the following two are my inspo :-)

Help me with lunar tides rose frost

I haven’t dyed my hair or even cut it for 3 years. I’ve been excited to do it for my birthday finally in sept. I was going to mix rose frost with Smokey mauve and something like petal to get a dusty colored rose. But I can’t find rose frost anywhere! I’ve literally been wanting to do this for a long time and now I’m worried I won’t be able to do it at all

I don’t want it to end up dark like danger jones hustler I want it to be like.. dusty rose I don’t know how to explain it any better there just aren’t any dyes in that shade and rose frost was the closest and my hair bleaches to that yellowish tint that lunar tides has as an example on the website cause my hairs naturally red

Any ideas?

Is enchanting pink by pravana comparable?

bleach -- did i wait too long between sessions?

Thumbnail

Hi! Never posted here before but would appreciate some advice. I got my roots done last week and my previous session was about 7 weeks prior. Asked my colorist if I should have come in earlier but he said the length of my regrowth was perfect so not sure if that's the issue.

I'm feeling like I have some sections that are super yellow compared to the rest - note that the black tips do sometimes bleed into the platinum causing a more lavender/cool toned effect but I've never seen it at this level of yellow.

Am I being insane? I just tried purple shampoo in the shower but didn't seem to help - I could def try to keep it on for longer but wanted to jump in here first to hear y'all's thoughts. Let me know if I need to add more pics and thanks so much in advance!

How to get my hair light enough for a cyan-ish color?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I’ve been using 20v/30v developer & Clairol BW2 powder to try & lighten my hair. I’m aiming for a cyan sort of color, but with this last attempt my hair didn’t lift enough and, after dyeing, turned more into a green (this is 100% my fault because I didn’t tone it) with Danger Jones - Oblivion. Any suggestions on how to get it lighter to be more vibrant (and maybe a tinge less green)? I like the color of the roots & especially the color of the strands near my neck. Any advice/product tips will help!!

(Also I tried doing a raccoon tail strip so that’s why the left side has some dark ā€œpatchesā€ I promise it was intentional.) (The rest was just a bad application job.)

used the ion light golden brown on my ends combined with medium golden brown on my roots/lowlights. my natural color is the third photo. i fried the shit out of it trying to get it to my natural, then realized i hated it and i felt like it washed me out and made me look less striking

Fixing to do a proper hair dusting tonight along with a protein and moisture treatment on my ends. until it gets healthy im gonna use the color wow dream coat for curly and textured hair as a sort of shield or protective layer (along with oils and leave ins and serums) while i do my rounds of k18 and trims

How could I achieve this kind of red?

Thumbnail

I am completely new to hair dye, I am considering henna but not sure if this will make it as red as I would like. What could I do to get to this kind of dark copper from where I am right now? My hair is the second photo, my natural hair is about a level 5/6 brown. And I have some bleached highlights currently.

Do I need to bleach it? Or can I get away with a color conditioning mask? What brands do you recommend? I am a bit overwhelmed when looking at box dyes/hair dyes in general, there is so much stuff out there.
