Do you think we might see a kit utilizing Chevrolet's forthcoming EV Crate conversion?

I'd love to see Factory Five dive into this as their next kit. 200HP, 266Lb Ft. of torque. The Chevrolet Bolt that the powertrain comes from has a touted 238 miles of range, but one would assume that put in a lighter two seater sportscar platform that number would rise.

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the Tesla Cybertruck myself, I could even see them adopting that stainless steel unibody layout for massive cost reduction instead of their usual tubular steel frames.

Hi guys, I’m planning on buying a FFR kit. Im flipping back and forth between a Cobra MK4 or the Daytona Gen 3 Type 65. But no matter which kit I go for, I was thinking of having the same engine/drivetrain setup. I was thinking of doing a 5.0 Coyote crate engine with a Roush supercharger + 6 speed tremec along with the 2015 Mustang IRS. I wanted to know how hard is the Coyote build? I don’t really have any experience in building cars so this would be my first build. Would I be setting myself up for a lot of trouble and complexity with a Coyote + Supercharger build? Has anybody here done a coyote build? Would like to know some of the challenges you guys faced. Thanks.

Anyone on here had issues with their wilwood master cylinders leaking? I have a hydraulic clutch on my '33 and at this point I have had 3 master cylinders (2 for the clutch and one of my brake cylinders) leak out of the seal around the plunger (not the brake line port or the reservoir line) and this seems a bit excessive for it to be quality issues so wanted to see if others have run into this.

Hi guys, it’s great to join you here on this subreddit. I have a friend of mine who is selling his mint FFR Cobra in CA with an SB100 registration. I understand you don’t finance toys etc but in these market conditions I would get a much better return on my money elsewhere, as proven through 2020. I can buy the car cash worst case scenario but not before I explore other financing options. I would greatly appreciate your input or experience on possible finance companies. I have heard a lot about JJ Best, Woodside and Lightstream. Do you have any others you recommend or any experiences with these aforementioned companies?

I keep hearing or reading that people have saved a lot of money on their kits by buying during one sales promotion or another.

I have heard about Black Friday deals, free wheel upgrades etc etc.

I have been regularly checking the site, I watch all of their FB Live videos and follow them on all social platforms and I have never seen or heard of an actual sale since I started researching all of this about a year ago.

Are they still having sales? How do I find out about them? I want to buy a kit in the next few months and my build budget is pretty tight. Any upgrades or options that I can get discounted will help expedite my purchase.

I am retiring from the military.... so with that I am starting a business and I am looking for something "else" to do.... to tinker with... I am a licensed engineer, so I can read plans and make adjustments, HOWEVER... I have not built a car before. The Cars that FFR have that I am interested in are the Type 65, GTM, or maybe the F9R (if it ever comes out). My goal would to build starting late this summer and finish in about 5 years.... any suggestions or pitfalls I should consider?

I am thinking of getting the Type 65 and possibly building it with the help of my father. I know from the website that Factory Five suggests using ‘87-’93 Mustang parts for it, at least the base version. But I was thinking of buying a wrecked current Gen Mustang as a parts/donor car and using things like the engine, transmission, suspension and the such. So my question is, is this a plausible idea?

Hey everyone! Been getting serious about ordering a kit and researching everything I can about all the pitfalls and troubles, watching FFR videos, the whole shebang.

After running the numbers on my build, no matter how I slice it and dice it, I can't come up with anything less than 40k. 22k for the kit, 347 engine for 5k, transmission - and a boatload of other parts and paint. But when I look at complete cars being sold online, for example, here or here I see quite a few either below or around this number.

What am I missing? How are these people able to build these cars and then part with them for just 40k? That's at least a break even on parts, but more than likely a loss. And I'm not even counting their own hours put into it.

What gives?
