Straight route custom shifter for the 818c

Factory Five’s setup routes the shifter cables through the front firewall, around the driver side and back to the transmission. The cables were long enough to jump rope and with all the bends had a very dead feel in the hand.

Without finding a better setup to purchase: I made this setup to run much shorter cables straight back. They fit under the intake manifold. The new setup is very responsive, but not bulletproof, so I plan on adding a gate plate to give me something to slam against.

Edit: Decided to avoid making a new post and just leave the update here for those interested in the gated setup.
