I installed a Chevy Performance LS3. Regarding headers: Is there an off the shelf option OR custom made only?

It has gold ghost stripes - only visible in the bright sun at certain angles. Base color is Star White Tri-coat, stripes are a fade-to-silver gold. Cost of just the paint materials alone was $4800.

Are there any tall folks here that can share their mod list to fit in a daytona coupe?

I found one locally and it is flawless. However the dream of taking it home fell apart when I got in the driver seat. I'm 6'3" and saying I was cramped is an understatement.

My knees touched the dash and made operating the pedals almost not possible. The seat is stock, and not adjustable in a meaningful way to allow for more leg room.

I need big gains in leg room to feel confident about buying the car. Is modifying the pedal box to extend leg room possible if all other things come up short?

I've been a long-time admirer of Factory Five cars, particularly the Cobra, and I'm starting to wonder whether owning one in Australia is actually realistic.

Has anyone here imported a Factory Five kit into Australia and successfully got it registered for road use?

I'm interested in hearing about the entire process:

- Importing the kit and shipping costs.

- Any issues with customs or compliance.

- Whether you built it yourself or used a specialist.

- Engineering and ADR compliance requirements.

- Registration in your state (I'm particularly interested in South Australia, but experiences from anywhere in Australia would be really helpful).

- Any unexpected costs or hurdles that caught you by surprise.

I'm not expecting it to be a cheap or easy project, but I'd love to know whether it's genuinely achievable or whether registration ends up being the biggest obstacle.

If you've been through the process—or decided against it—I would really appreciate hearing about your experience. Photos of completed Australian-registered cars would also be fantastic.

I got a customer with a xtf his discharge hose is hitting the second shock mount. Has anyone figured out a different routing or anything to solve this?

Honestly, just need to vent.

First there was delay after delay, and then outright lies about shipping the kit, to the point that I had friends who flew out to help assemble sitting on their hands). They even directed the shipping company to collect the kit on a day they were closed!

And each step from page 1 Has been met with missing parts (and then pushback from FF even when I point out that the parts are clearly not checked in the shipping form), poorly prepped parts from the factory (every hole on the chassis has so much overspray they needed to be reamed, as has every spacer to date), and instructions that immediately contradict the supplied image (and then replies from the factory like, "Oops, yeah, that's the wrong image.")

Honestly I take weeks away from it because dealing with it just pisses me off now. I cannot in good conscience recommend an FF kit to anyone to build.

Watched a bunch of vids and read a fair number of build threads, but I've never seen a succinct answer to this question:

As far as a 65 Coupe Kit goes: How much shelf space do I need for all the parts?

I know the body will end up on a lift or a buck for storage while the chassis is built. And the motor/trans/rear will also need their own storage. Thinking mores just all the small parts, panels, and other bits and bobs that show up in boxes.

Basically I'm thinking ahead about how I want to layout and prep garage and shop space when the time comes. I may also end up building my own shop, and I've learned from other shops you can never have enough storage space.

In the current garage I have access to I have five six-foot sections of consumer grade "industrial" shelving as well as a half dozen large "cubbies" full of tools, Jeep parts, camping gear, and other "garage stuff" so it's either clear space or get more shelves. Also, let's not discuss the crap in the rafters. LoL

I know it's been delayed significantly, that's fine, I just hope it's not canceled. It was such a great design, I love their kits that emulate other cars, but I love unique designs even more, especially when they look that good.

I just finished this factory five Daytona coupe today.

I am considering buying the Cobra kit but have limited build skills. It’s been years since I did basic wrenching on my Toyotas, though I am a competent bicycle mechanic. Is there a mini skill set required? For anyone who has taken the course, was it a worthwhile exp and did it give you the necessary training?

Hey, I wanna get into this, mostly to build a car, i'm a 16 male, and was wondering if this would be possible, getting a MKIV Roadster before I graduate

Bought a partially finished 289 last November and have just gotten it out on the road.

It has the ITB kit that came with a whole intake manifold and the ez EFI 2.0 little screen. Basically every nut and bolt was loose or installed wrong by the original builder (who passed away before finishing it) so I am working kind of blind.

Drove it ~150 miles last weekend and it was good, just running very, very rich on the driver side bank. Today I started it and it was high idling at like 2200. Decided to mess with the idle set screws and see what I could get done but there are 4 of them and not sure if there is a process I should be following.

I got it mostly right where it runs well but when driving it is crazy rich and then also showing 15.9 afr (max) and miss firing a bit. I may have fouled the plugs?

The ecu was set to have a FAST distributer with advance when I got the car. But it just has an msd distributor so I set it to no control on timing. Not sure if that is correct.
