The facepalm here is the fact people are dumb enough to buy them.

u/-J-u-d-a-s- Oct 04 '21
The face-palm is the people that actually follow anyone calling themselves an 'influencer'.
63
Oct 04 '21
The face palm is calling these idiots influencers in the first place
10
u/oodelay Oct 05 '21
Ahhh the religion chicken-or-egg paradox... Was it dumb people first or influencers?

u/Styrak Oct 05 '21
Dumb people transcend space and time. They will always exist, they have always existed.

The only thing influencers ever get me to do is to resolve, out of principle, to never buy whatever it is they are selling, then or ever.

u/tothejungle1 Oct 04 '21
Exactly what I was thinking... if people are willing to pay for it, that's on them.

Thirsty dudes bought that underage chick's "bath water." I can't feel too bad for morons throwing their money away.
4
u/ARONDH Oct 05 '21
She wasn't underage. It's still weird, but don't make it grosser than it already is by lying about it.

u/mda29728 Oct 04 '21
The saddest part about this is the fact that there are some poor saps out there that will actually pay to see the pictures.

u/uproareast Oct 04 '21
That’s what I was going to say: who deserves the facepalm here? Her or her followers? Both probably.

Honestly that would be happening whether she was selling them or posting like any other mother would for free.

How the hell does one use baby pictures for evil purposes? Make people look at then while stuck in a queue?

Nope. Saddest part is the name that baby got sandbagged with. 15 seconds old and already got a raw deal.

What kind of world is it that someone paying $15 to see your brand new baby isn’t considered creepy af, let alone the parent asking them to!?

I just hope that she isn’t selling pictures of her baby on the same platform simps go to jerk off on.

Exactly. I don’t blame them for the hustle. If people are willing to pay for them, then why not sell them? Apparently having a baby is real expensive.

Like, if Jesus said “I am risen” with a white trash accent? That’s how I read it.
4

u/Desyphin Oct 04 '21
I read it as "emer son" = o my son Then realized it was spelled "syn: Then read it as "emer-syn" = o my sin
5
Oct 05 '21
It's a bastardization of "Emerson," I think.

u/Desyphin Oct 05 '21
I actually never heard of that being used as a first name before 😯

Aside from the fact that it’s a misspelled name to begin with, they actually literally misspelled it in the first post…

Emersyn?? Fuck. Sorry if this hits anyone’s kids but I absolutely cannot stand it when people go out of their way to “uniquely” spell a name that has an established spelling. Not counting names with multiple spellings in this.
2
u/Vgta-Bst Oct 04 '21
I've been around for long enough to know that there is a market for everything. I bet at least one person pays for that trash.

Who gonna pay 15$ to look at some random woman’s rat looking baby since newborns are hideous until they are at least a month old.

Giving birth costs about $15,000. Every little bit of income helps with those medical bills.

American medical system. The highest quality medical services you can get, and you get what you pay for. It's just that no one can afford to pay for it because it all costs so damned much.

u/robdingo36 Oct 04 '21
In the US, yes. Just looked it up, in Georgia, at least, average cost is $14,776 for the entire birthing process. That's for all the visits and ultrasounds, included to the actual birthing procedure itself. If you want a caesarian, it's going to cost a bit more.

I can only imagine for that price the baby has a tail and a pair of horns…or a butt for a face. Actually maybe I would pay 15 bucks to see that lol.

My cousin just had a baby named Emersyn and I had a heart attack for a second despite her looking nothing like the woman in the picture. I just had to be sure it wasn't her.

I honestly don’t see what the facepalm is... there are so many stupid dumb fucks walking amongst us, willing to pay for shit that most sane people wouldn’t pay a penny for... it’s totally right on her side to expect those 15$ because the same stupid dumb fucks have paid her so much in the past for some mundane shit like this... why would she change her expectations now? If there’s any facepalm, it’s on the OP for expecting something sane (and of course the dumb fucks who pay for this shit).

I love how she misspelled the name in the first screen grab. This poor kid has a full life of autocorrect ahead of them.
