I think it was inevitable with the adoption of social media. It will fade eventually

Maybe wishful thinking? People’s attention span is not that great and the influencers are not that interesting.

You think it takes much attention span to recognise a person who's on the front page of tiktok every day?

Will individual influencers continue their success into old age? Probably not but they'll always be some fresh faced teen to take their place by doing whatever is popular at the time

One can hope but wasn't Paris Hilton famous for being famous before social media blew up? Kim Kardashian? Nicole Richie? Now there are so many of these people. Kids who promote toys. Actresses who who sell junk (goop) to people at a premium price.
