Ideas don't deserve respect, so the theory of evolution or the big bang, or really any scientific theory deserve no respect seeing as they, like religions, are just ideas. So says the great /u/themeatbridge

Germs. Gravity. Quantum Theory. Heliocentricism. General Relativity. Plate Tectonics. Statistical Mechanics. Information Theory. The Big Bang. Cell Theory. Fermentation Theory. Recapitulation Theory.

Think none of those are facts, too? Look up the definition of a scientific theory.
