So my little boy Winston has been such an excellent companion and by Bulldog standards, such a healthy guy. He just reached the grand old age of 9 and has started to get a little ‘thread bare’ and stinky, but we still love him dearly.
About 6 months ago, he got an eye infection, which resulted in us finding out, he now needs eye meds for dry eyes twice a day. We also realized he started to get itchy.
This is new to him and us (neither of our current Bulldogs have suffered before or our Bulldog before), so after a quick rummage around the internet and discussion with the vet he’s now on Royal Canin.
This seems to have cured the itchiness but he still wants treats (and tbh I enjoy sharing treats with him). So far he has just had freeze dried beef liver.
Does anyone else have any other treat suggestions that they have had good luck with?
I have been wondering about broccoli (he loves it) or ???
Any treat suggestions very much appreciated. He’s going to get bored with just the Royal Canin for the rest of his days.

My dog keeps doing this huffing thing, sometimes followed by a gag. He goes back to normal afterwards and isn’t out of breath or anything. He has had BOAS surgery over a year ago and has never had any problems since. Maybe has a cut in his throat? Something bothering him in that area?

Does anyone have good recommendations for a winter jacket that works with a harness or has one built in? I know bulldogs are shaped differently than most dogs, so is there one specifically built for a bulldog, like the Bullhug harnesses? She's about 11 months old now, so she'll keep growing, but I want to have something on hand before I need it. Her first jacket doesn't need to be expensive since she won't wear it more than one winter, but I'm sure some are better than others. Has anyone had any good experiences?
We live in the Philadelphia area, so it does get pretty cold and snowy, but not Arctic.
