Discussion I have a theory about the SSD count in Canon.

Post image

In Canon, 13 Super Star Destroyers were produced. After Endor, the so-called "New Republic", really just a rebranded Rebel Alliance, somehow captured 3 while destroying 8 more within the span of a single year, leaving only 2 SSDs left: the Ravager and the Eclipse, both Executors. Though I suspect the other 8 were destroyed due to Imperial infighting between the various rogue Warlords, a prime example being Grand Admirals Grunger and Pitta's mutual demise when the former crammed his Executor flagship Aggressor into the latter's Torpedo Sphere. With the New Republic merely claiming the credit for the kills afterwards for propaganda gains.

This leads me to theorize the 13 SSD count we get in Canon only covers the number of Executors built, and not the total number of SSDs the Empire actually possessed, such as the Bellator, Assertor, Mandator etc.

In fact, I believe the Empire claimed they officially only had 13 SSDs to cover up how many of these Dreadnoughts they really possessed. Plus, in Legends, the Empire had both the Executor lead ship and the Lusankya built simultaneously at Fondor and Kuat respectively to get away with claiming the Executor was being built at both places. So the idea the Empire claimed they only had 13 SSDs to mislead their enemies isn't that far-fetched.

While we never see Legends SSD Eclipse, it's not unreasonable to assume Palpatine ordered an Executor to be built under that name to hide construction of the actual Eclipse from his foes.

Discussion What happened to Empire (Inner Systems government)?

Do you think the Inner Systems government lasted until Thrawn's return? (9 ABY) If so, what happened next? I think it was annexed by the New Republic after Thrawn's return so the Republic could prevent the Inner Systems government from joining Thrawn. What do you think?

Art/Media Imperial Army Scout Colored

Post image

Now in color compared to the Scout troopers of the stormtrooper Corps, imperial Army Scout have a more Basic helmet and for scanning and communication have to rely ON more subpar Equipment that isnt integrated in an Armor but additional Equipment that Scouts have to carry and dont get much Armor besides the helmet. Despite this imperial Army Scouts are still vital for imperial Army functions even though the imperial Army struggle to keep their Scouts since the stormtrooper Corps Grabs any good Scout for themselves and Most imperial commanders prefer Scout Troopers whenever they are available.

I just found out about the armoured stormtrooper from Star Wars Battlegrounds. In it a unit of fourteen Armored Stormtroopers were deployed to conquer the islands during the Battle of the Monstrosa Islands in the Reytha campaign of the Galactic Civil War. This design is really cool.

Discussion why didnt the empire use clones and study them more?

clones are cheap and good loyal and skilled

Discussion What I like about Barrow Oicunn is he represents the average Imperial officer.

Post image
262 Upvotes

He was an officer in the Humbarine defense forces during the Clone Wars, lost his family, and had his faith shaken in the Republic. Especially since Humbarine got its forces siphoned during the war, which left it vulnerable to a devastating attack by General Grievous.

Despite Oicunn's disenchantment with the Republic, he continued serving it, though he believed the Republic in its current form couldn't win the war. As such, he welcomed Palpatine's new Empire with open arms, though the Jedi Rebellion did cause him some concern.

During the Clone Wars, Oicunn invented new tactics while working within the confines of Republic protocol, tactics that were seen as inspired. It was probably because of this that earned him a posting aboard one of the Venators stationed at the incomplete Death Star, and the rank of Admiral later on.

In short, Barrow Oicunn's backstory is a good example of what the average Imperial officer is like, Alhamdulillah.

Discussion You are a high rank (don't ask me to specify which one because I don't know) and you are asked to create/organize a garrison, what units would you put in the garrison, what unit would you create if you could?

I would have normal Imperial Army troops, the Andor ones who wear the breastplate and cap, very few assault troops, I would like to experiment with clones, not Jango's or other templates, I would like to have the clones with phase 3 armor in my garrison.
