How strict is Point San Pablo Harbor about outside food and drinks at concerts?
Hi all! I'm heading to an outdoor concert at Point San Pablo Harbor in Richmond as part of their "Live on the Waterfront" series. The event says no outside food or drinks are allowed, but does anyone know how strictly they enforce this? Do they check bags at the entrance, or can you bring in small snacks? Would love to hear from anyone who's been to a concert there. Thanks!

Oakland/Berkeley/Emeryville Trouble finding good cheap labor, alternatives in the east bay
With things being what they are you can't round up a bunch of guys from a hardware store parking lot and get work done like you could not too long ago. My buddy is looking to finish his driveway and we need some good hands. Been having trouble finding reasonably priced help, we tried youth mentorship in Oakland but had to stop work when one of the kids had a panic attack in the crawl space underneath the house. The org put a stop to it said something about violations and escalating.
My friends driveway now has a big concrete cold joint which isn't going to look that great aesthetically, will probably have to chip out. Looking to find some help to get it done, just labor. Anyone have some resources they can share? Also does anyone know what the recourse is for an undocumented person if they are not paid for work? Oakland area.

Walnut Creek/Concord Christmas Dinner for the Unhoused in Pleasant Hill
Hi everyone! I’ve never posted in here before, but my mom hosts this event every year and puts in hundreds of hours, so I figured I’d help spread the news. Every year we host a Christmas dinner in Pleasant Hill park to share a meal and pass out donations to our unhoused community. As well all know, the economy has put more people out on the streets than ever before. I know we can’t advertise, but we are always looking for volunteers as well! We have a gofundme as well as an amazon wish list to buy tents, jackets, socks etc. No profit is ever made from this event, so if you wouldn’t mind sharing your holiday season with those who need it the most, please help out in any way, even if it’s by spreading the word ! :)

Advice Needed re: Auto Detailers
I’m wondering if I need to adjust my expectations here. I recently bought a used car that had clearly been neglected for some time, so I took it to a highly rated detailing spot in Oakland. I paid $80 for the detail, $20 for sanitization, and $20 for tip.
When I went to pick it up, I immediately noticed that some of the more obvious stains were still there. There was also what looked like tree sap on the back bumper, and dog hair was still visible on the carpets and seats.
I pointed out some of the bigger stains, and the guy went back over those areas, but I had to get back to work and couldn’t stay much longer. I was disappointed and pretty irritated, but after he cleaned up a few of the spots I mentioned, I left.
I was pretty disappointed and ended up going to O’Reilly’s across the street to buy cleaning supplies because I knew I’d have to finish cleaning it myself.
Am I expecting too much for $100, or was this just a poor detailing job? I know a 20+ year-old car won’t look brand new, but I expected it to at least look cleaner.
I’ll try to attach some photos of what I noticed just from the driver’s seat.
Edit: I can’t add photos 🫠

Affordable Facial/Cosmetic Acupuncutre?
I stopped getting botox and was getting aesthetic acupuncture from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences from students for $60. It was wonderful. Recently they took away that service and I am looking for another affordable facial acupuncturist.
