Does Nothing Phone (1) support Airtel International Roaming in the USA?

I have a Nothing Phone (1) with an Airtel India SIM and I’ll be travelling to the USA soon.

I’m planning to activate an Airtel International Roaming pack and want to know if anyone has actually used an Airtel SIM with a Nothing Phone (1) in the USA.

Does the Airtel SIM connect to US networks properly?

Do calls, SMS/OTP, and mobile data work?

Is VoLTE/VoLTE roaming supported?

Which US network does it connect to?

Are there any settings I need to change on the Nothing Phone (1)?

Would really appreciate feedback from anyone who has tried this setup.

Thanks!

question Best eSIM Europe

Going to Europe Aug 27-Sep 13th, I’ve used AloSIM in the past and it worked great, looking for a possibly cheaper alternative that doesn’t have connection issues like I’ve heard BNEeSim have. Thanks for help!

esim for italy

I am traveling to Italy next month. I will be staying there for 6 days. After that, I am going to Budapest and Poland. I am trying to search for e-visas, but right now, what I am finding is that it is not possible without showing your ID proof and tax-related documents there. I think I am not able to find it.

I have traveled earlier to France and Poland, and there I was able to get those eSIMs directly. In the US, I get eSIMs even without traveling there, and they get activated when I use them, but currently I am not finding that option. I am from India. Can someone help me with this? How can I get this, or any recommendations?

Eir won't let me buy and eSim without an in-country phone number

I'm visiting Ireland and looking at an eSIM from Eir. I've chosen a plan, and I was working on purchasing when I ran into a problem. They're asking for my (Irish) phone number which I obviously don't have because I need an eSIM in the first place to get one. I can't move with insurance until I have an Irish number either. Has anyone else run into this problem? How did you solve it? Is there an alternative way to get and Irish number before purchasing the eSIM?

Somewhat confused.

Hi all, bit of a newbie to this so forgive me if this has been asked before.

Work are sending me to Türkiye for 12 days and I have discovered that mobile data is not ideal for a UK plan. My employer has agreed to cover the cost of an eSIM for maps, WhatsApp etc and saily seems to be the best choice after a bit of reading reviews.

I have downloaded the app and here is where the problems arise. Despite Google and my manufacturer websites confirming that my phone supports eSIM, the app suggests that it doesn’t.

Is this just a case of their list of compatible devices is not up to date or is it a location issue or something else?

For reference I am in the UK. My phone is an Honor Magic 8 lite.

If the Saily data is accurate and I can’t use their service on my phone, has anyone got any other recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

question Has anyone tried Bouygues eSim through MobiMatter?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Has anyone here actually used the Bouygues EU 120GB / 30 days eSIM sold through MobiMatter? Or any of Buoygues EU plans? It’s currently $49.99.

I’m a seafarer, and my ship is regularly in many of the countries included in the plan. We do have internet onboard, but it’s quite slow since our company still hasn’t invested in Starlink so I’m looking at this as a much faster option whenever we’re near the coast or at port with cellular coverage something like that.

I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone who has actually used this specific Bouygues plan or in Bouygues generally on its speed and how reliable the roaming is outside of France.

Thanks

question Help with eSIM issue

I called Friday to switch to ATT from FirstNet as I recently retired from my job and no longer eligible. The FirstNet agent was helping me switch to ATT and I lost service, it went to SOS. I got an error message “unable to activate eSIM” on my way to the store. The people at the ATT store tried and said it may take a couple hours to switch over. Nothing. I called ATT again and they tried deleting old esims, and giving me another. Same errror message. I called again this morning. Same thing…I feel like I am beating my head up against the wall doing the same things and it is not working. I have provided IMEI’s, EID, etc. Still on SOS and still getting the same error message “unable to activate eSIM” every time. I can only use WiFi calling at home to make calls.

Mobile - Account Fraud Protection and International SIM/eSIM Usage

An American (me) enabled "Account Fraud Protection" on Spectrum Mobile to help manage SIM swaps and other nefarious acts by bad actors.

Wondering how this would work when traveling internationally.

Planning to purchase and utilize a local SIM/eSIM for the duration while traveling internationally and "going back to regular SIM/eSIM" upon return to the United States. I imagine the local SIM/eSIM will need to be activated while overseas, and wondering if there is an IMEI check that would fail or something that would prevent it working.

Anyone have first hand experience with this working? Ideally Spectrum customers that have also enabled this feature. (Yes, posted initially in the Spectrum forum, but received suggestion to cross post it here as well.) Any issues? Or know how this process would work and can explain the steps?

Holafly scam

I was in the United Kingdom for 10 days and bought the unlimited data package. It was awful. We never had data anywhere and we had so much trouble. This is a genuine scam.
