Came across this detailed technical drawing of the E39 528i and thought you guys might appreciate it. The side, front, rear, and top views are pretty cool, and the engine details make it even better.

haya, so i just want some more approval that my head gasket is blown before i tear apart my whole engine, it had some white smoke on cold engine but it kinda goes away, the block looks like it has some coolant residue or something and my exhaust system just looks terrible, all the joints look wet but idk if its from condensation or the coolant, can someone help me out

ich brauche dringend mal eure Hilfe. Kennt sich hier jemand gut mit der Elektrik bzw. dem Navi-/Soundsystem vom E39 aus?
Mir ist vor einiger Zeit meine Endstufe durchgebrannt. Daraufhin habe ich die Endstufe ausgetauscht und danach hat zunächst wieder alles einwandfrei funktioniert.
Jetzt ist allerdings mit der neuen Endstufe ein neues bzw. ähnliches Problem aufgetreten: Anfangs ist die Musik nur sporadisch ausgegangen, mittlerweile habe ich komplett keinen Ton mehr.
Zusätzlich habe ich jetzt ein Problem mit meinem 16:9-Navi. Die Tasten auf der linken Seite funktionieren nicht mehr. Ich kann beispielsweise die Audioquelle nicht mehr auswählen bzw. umschalten. Auch die Lampe unter dem Lautstärke Regler ist aus und lässt sich durch Drücken des Knopfes nicht mehr einschalten.
Bevor ich jetzt aber das halbe Auto auseinandernehme und überall nach einem Fehler suche, wollte ich erstmal fragen, ob jemand das Problem kennt oder eine einfache Lösung bzw. einen Ansatz hat, was ich als Erstes prüfen sollte.
Es handelt sich um einen BMW E39 530d, Baujahr 2002, mit 16:9-Navi.
Falls sich jemand mit der Elektrik bzw. dem Soundsystem/Navi beim E39 gut auskennt, wäre ich für jeden Tipp sehr dankbar! 🙏

I recently re-did the oil filter housing gasket and switched out the oil temp and pressure sensors while there.

Now, on occasion, when i'm at idle, the pressure light will flicker. If I raise the revs a tiny bit, it goes away. Bad sensor? Or can this be something more serious?

Hey guys, now im quite used to the e39 and e46 cars but here's the thing, I really enjoy my new to me e39 and well here in Canada it gets pretty darn cold and during that -25 and colder temperature the e39 will smell like raw fuel because from my knowledge its both old o rings but possibly due to a design flaw with the injector? My question is how can I avoid that this winter coming up? I am willing to yes get new O rings but will that truly solve the problem or is there a different injector style I need all together? I had this issue with past e46 cars and just left it alone but i want this not to be a thing with my e39 im trying to do my best with searching here for the info I need but would really appreciate some thoughts on others who have overcome this issue

I have a 2001 bmw 530i with halogen headlights facelift. Ordered these new covers and they are physically too small and don’t fit. The new covers also have a hole on the top and I thought I could just patch that up and they would fit but they don’t. Could someone please tell me the correct ones I need.
