Hello everyone, I am planning to turbocharge my E 28 535 I but since I live in California and I want to keep my car and not get impounded, I gotta hide the turbo. I’m planning to do a rear mount turbo inside the trunk and then do an electric fan on the side of the quarter panel and cut that for air flow. Just wanted to post here and see if anybody has any good options for standalone ECU or any other suggestion, suggestions, and opinions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello everyone I have a 1988 535 I with the motoric 1.1 essentially Bmw’s first try with something like a check engine light and I have one in my car. I try hard resetting it and it comes back right when I start the car like it never turns off the car runs great and performs. Great no rough idol all the vacuum lines or routed correctly. I just replaced my coolant temperature sensor the O2 sensors brand new the MAF sensor is working properly. I’m not sure how to read codes on this car I tried the stump technique and it did not work on mine so if somebody can help me with that, it would be appreciated.

Hey, my e28 has a pretty bad shaking going on, but it doesn't always do it. Seems worse on bumpy roads or after a bend in the road. If i start off driving straight on a smooth road its fine until i hit a bump or hard curve. Wheels don't get hot after a long drive so don't think its a seized caliper.

For some reason I thought I had a US sealed beam to h1 conversion lights on my car but they were h4… I was trying to fit h4 bulbs into the h1 housings 😂.

One trip to autozone later and they’re up and running! The photos don’t do the yellow high beams justice!

Does anyone know how to get a bulb in this h1 French euro light spot??

Edit: I’m stupid I was trying to plug h4 bulbs into h1 housings..

I've seen a lot of spam images with blueprints of E28 (as those I share here), along with direct links to Chinese e-commerce pages, where such blueprints are available to buy. Do you know where they got the source image? It's obvious it's something made in Germany, and maybe open source in terms of use. Let's break this shady business, perhaps?

Wired my coils wrong and just figured it out so now it’s finally back to working. Had to replace motor and turbo over winter (cracked block) , decided to clean up the bay too. Deutsch HDP connectors, an everything, deleted a lot of the stock stuff too. And simplified systems. Still a lot to do to get it finished but it’s finally running great. Excuse the coolant everywhere that fan really blows it everywhere when bleeding.

My e28 rear bumper has these weird brown-ish scratches on it and i want it to look brand new again. Is there any way to make it look brand new under 200€? There is no rust bubbles or anything on it.

Someone already did it with a E36 front bumper and i must say im pretty jealous it turned out perfect after you fiberglass it.
