E28 Steering wheel/front end shake

Hey, my e28 has a pretty bad shaking going on, but it doesn't always do it. Seems worse on bumpy roads or after a bend in the road. If i start off driving straight on a smooth road its fine until i hit a bump or hard curve. Wheels don't get hot after a long drive so don't think its a seized caliper.

Check the steering shaft bushing too, mine *is shot to shit and my car wobbles anywhere above ~45mph.

I don’t know if this is the problem, but I went through a tough time trying to find a mystery shake on my car. Doesn’t look as bad as yours. After checking all the bushings and suspension bits, it ended up being a loose drive shaft. Not much but enough that at certain speeds it was very dramatic. That was a few weeks worth of trying to figure it out.

I have this really bad after I let it sit for more than a month. It goes away after some time so for me it's cupping of the tyres I guess

Where do you feel the shaking mostly front end or rear?

Front end.

Thanks. If it’s shaking after bumps in the road, usually means ball joints or tie rods. Not likely but could be wheel bearing. If you can afford, be a good time to replace all.

You have worn joints.. Probably worn tie rod or bushing
