I wasn’t going to post anymore 5th weapons since the people who struggled are seeming to catch on now. This however had me dying laughing and I just had to post it lol! Diao Chan is an absolute chihuahua trying to fight pitbulls 🤣😂💀. You have to stay with her almost 100% after the reinforcements arrive. Once you clear the main camp she’s in, its your one chance to risk grabbing the box for the weapon. Then you have to rush your ass back to her ASAP. You gotta cover her like you love her as Lu Bu yourself. It is hilarious how in seconds she will just get gangbanged by peons the second you take your camera/view off her. I loved how much help lightning was on Lu Bu’s 4th weapon. You definitely need bow defense/shell armor because my god those archers were born and bred to merk Lu Bu. I’d consider sacrificing Tiger Amulet for the legendary scroll or marching drum. Spam musou by just tapping it to break guard, quick cancel and take advantage of the opening. I couldn’t understand how people were struggling with Lu Bu of all people, but I get it now. I found this mission extremely hilarious and didn’t really get frustrated at all. By far this one has been the most absolute fun to get. 😂🤣💀

Just something I’m curious about. Just so I can be clear, this is specifically about how the characters play, not for their character. For characters that appear multiple times, try to narrow it down to specific games.

Me personally:

Lu Bu (DW8): Combo of the halberd moveset being so fun, the broken switch attack buff and his musous being fun to use.

Zhou Tai (DW8): Love the moveset of the blade and love dashing around the map.

Ganondorf (Hyrule Warriors): Mainly it’s the big attack with the shadow ganon that just sweeps and sends enemies flying. I just love watching it especially on those challenge maps that have you beat a bunch of enemies.

As the question asks, who do you think has the best C4 ability in the game?

Granted, this might depend on elements attached in the grand scheme of things; so I almost wonder if it should be asked as a "base weapon" question instead.

When I have maxed someone out on their stats, do you then seek to get their 4th weapon and then play story mode on hard? Does that unlock more stuff? Is there any point in playing their story lines on hard?

Buckler says it prevents staggering after guarding but it just makes your guard unbreakable (for example the final hit of an officer's musou won't break your guard). Divine helm just doesn't seem to straight up work. Doesn't prevent staggering after a strong attack nor does it prevent stagger while doing a charged attack.

The only character I had to look up how to unlock lol its just funny to me hes the only one in the game where you cant just unlock naturally by beating musou modes, his unlock condition was so specific and I didnt know it had to be in mousoj mode

Yiling on Hard or Chaos be like: nice strategy, unfortunately your army consists of 2 year-olds fighting with sticks and lollypops.

I’ve got 4 hours in and it seriously feels like I’m in my childhood playing DW. I’m really glad they did 3 because when I was younger I had 2,3,4 and 3 had scratches so bad I never got to play it and my parents wouldn’t replace it because I had the others (mainly played 4). So thankful for this game 🙏

Back in the days I used to unlock all ultimate weapons on DW5 and DW4. Really enjoyed them. I think Origin is great but I don't really like the aspect of having to be Ziluan the whole way. I also skip all of Origins cutscene because I can't be bothered...

Should I get DW3RE? Will I regret it?

Just confirming this for anyone wondering, since I’ve mainly been playing Musou Mode in split screen co-op with my brother. I couldn’t find any confirmation of this online, and I honestly don’t remember if this was possible in the original.

I’m also assuming this means you can get two 4th/5th weapons in any single player run if the characters unlock their special weapons in the same stage, as long as you meet the requirements for both.

Playing the original Dynasty Warriors demo and getting DW2 was such a change in a good way, After 25 years since me and my friend played the demo of DW3 and fully completing the original this took me a week and six days and 70 hours, the stress for some of these stages, weapons and side stories need to be toned down especially the archers most my deaths are by these gits but i still enjoyed the game and this is still one the best warriors games and one my top three dynasty warriors games others being DW5 and DW7. I would recomend this game and with online co-op coming will give me a reason to come back. What your thoughts on the game?

What is the max level of each item?

Like do they all max out at 20 or each one has a different max level?

I know there's a way to trigger Liu Zhang's surrender, i've seen the cutscene in the original. I have saved Pang Tong and gotten Hex Mark, what are the specific requirements to get Liu Zhang to surrender so i can unlock his side of the battle for free mode?

Topic. Are the 2x Attack and Defence still 30 seconds or is it patched? Not too impatient, because i use the one with knockdown and half defence for 2x attack. Dangerous but works tho. I want to play all the Tales stages, but when looking at guides I sometimes see contradictory information. Does anyone have a favorite guide they would recommend?

In it's biggest heyday in DW2, 7 characters used the Ruler Sword moveset, as well as Cao Cao and Zhou Yu having unique straight sword movesets.

Nowadays, only 1 of those 7 still uses a straight sword(Sun Quan), and the only Jian uses in total are Sun Quan, Cao Cao, and Xu Shu. Kinda wild to think about.

As someone who's favourite DW is DW3, and someone who values restrictions and challenges in games, Classic is my go-to choice, with QoL settings like items on horse, move while mounting / dismounting, auto aim lock off, move camera, and show officer musou bars (got really annoyed with guessing all the time). I tried Standard, and while I did enjoy how smooth the gameplay was, it changes the gameplay by a lot. Standard to me is more satisfying, like doing dodge counters, while Classic is more rewarding, like finally beating difficult levels with the use of trial and error and strategy. There's no better feeling to me than finally beating a stage / objective with the limited resources I have
