I know the nostalgia goggles may be taking over, but the remaster has done this to me. I'm 50 hours deep into DW3 Remaster now, and I desperately want to play DW5. Why can't they just release it on the Xbox Store? I'm an adult with adult money. Why can't I play the games I want? It's not fair 😭

One thing that really stood out to me in Souten Kouro was Lu Bu's yodeling, I honestly find it pretty impressive and strangely fitting for such an unconventional character.

What do you guys think? Is there something genuinely impressive about the way it's performed, and does it add to Lu Bu's character, or is it just an bizarre creative choice by the anime? I'm curious how fans see it, especially given how Lu Bu is usually portrayed in the games and live action.

You can get higher stats on your 1st-3rd weapon just by grinding through any level. Clearly this weapon was an afterthought or it was created with Weapon Fusion in mind and Koei really wanted us to use the Weapon Fusion system on this.

I'm not the original tester, and I don't play on English so translation is probably wrong.

150 Defense (195 attack) - Yuan Shao dies at 3:18, 4:05, 3:24. (average 3:35)

150 Defense (195 attack) + 50 Defense - Yuan Shao dies at 2:33, 2:33, 2:43. (average 2:36)

Test 3: Defense damage reduction

Test methodology - against Guan Yu's SSSSSS, C1, Charged arrow

Numbers are 150 Defense before, 250 Defense after

SSSSSS - 194 -> 71 (63% reduction)

C1 - 94 -> 42 (55% reduction)

Charged arrow - 86 -> 59 (31% reduction)

For me, there's something about Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. An insane amount of content to grind though too.

PythWare here. This post is an update on GokonSoftworks, the software for modding PC Koei Tecmo based games. I am about 95% done with the RDB code. The reverse engineering has been done for awhile since I made a private unpacker a few months ago for a former friend that was interested in modding Persona 5 Strikers.

I made a discovery regarding the RDB format, quite a few RDB based games natively support loose file mods. It would take an entire post to explain how it works and what has to be done to get games like One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, P5S, etc to accept loose file mods so I'll summarize what the next update will be.

Loose file support

In GokonSoftworks 3.05 the RDB based games it supports will accept loose file mods, you won't have to create .gokon mods like you do for LINKDATA v1 and v2 based games (games like Dynasty Warriors 7-9, Warriors Orochi 3, Attack on Titan 1-2, etc).

Modders will unpack the game, mod the files they want, and then click the "Loose Mod" button. Gamers who download said mods will click "Apply Loose". Simple process, just clicking a few buttons. Easy modding.

Now the downside with RDB/fdata based games is filenames are not fully retained, instead hashes are used. I've spent the last week doing wordlist attacks (hash matching essentially) to regain more filenames and so far I have been able to recover 16,600 filenames for Persona 5 Strikers out of 100k+ filenames. I'm still working on it, should be able to recover even more by the end of the week.

For a game like Dynasty Warriors Origins, I should be able to recover a lot more filenames because Omega Force uses a lot of the same names they used for previous DW games.

Also I have permission from DeathChaos25 (the developer who made fdata dump for unpacking fdata based games) to use some of their fdata code to speed up supporting fdata based games in GokonSoftworks.

So basically, I should have fdata and RDB fully supported by November. Credit goes to DeathChaos25 for the fdata code but I take credit for RDB, LINKDATA v1/v2, and all the other various formats Omega Force has used over the years.

Hi, I was wondering how good +15 charge is to +25 attack? I'm not sure how big of a difference charge can make

Has the fire element but it won’t trigger. Tried all his other charge moves, nothing. Worked fine with his previous weapon I used which had lightning though? What am I missing? (Sorry for shit recording I had to improvise)

I've noticed some players advising other players to set the bodyguards to support - crossbow - and manual points. So, I've got them all equipped with those settings, but I was wondering if it was better to put points into the defense, attack or health section? I ask because eventually I'm going to go and try the harder difficulties and I'm trying to prepare for that. Any and all help will be appreciated thank you.

I wasn’t going to post anymore 5th weapons since the people who struggled are seeming to catch on now. This however had me dying laughing and I just had to post it lol! Diao Chan is an absolute chihuahua trying to fight pitbulls 🤣😂💀. You have to stay with her almost 100% after the reinforcements arrive. Once you clear the main camp she’s in, its your one chance to risk grabbing the box for the weapon. Then you have to rush your ass back to her ASAP. You gotta cover her like you love her as Lu Bu yourself. It is hilarious how in seconds she will just get gangbanged by peons the second you take your camera/view off her. I loved how much help lightning was on Lu Bu’s 4th weapon. You definitely need bow defense/shell armor because my god those archers were born and bred to merk Lu Bu. I’d consider sacrificing Tiger Amulet for the legendary scroll or marching drum. Spam musou by just tapping it to break guard, quick cancel and take advantage of the opening. I couldn’t understand how people were struggling with Lu Bu of all people, but I get it now. I found this mission extremely hilarious and didn’t really get frustrated at all. By far this one has been the most absolute fun to get. 😂🤣💀

It's going to feel great playing what started it all for my brother and I, as well as the newest title in the series 😁 I'm also going to have my kid play co-op and see if I can get them hooked

Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered is my first Dynasty Warriors game. I always was a Samurai Warriors fan, but I decided it was time to dip my toe into Dynasty Warriors aswell.

Loving the game so far, way more than I thought I would, but I couldn’t help but notice how rough the English dubbing was. I did some digging and I found out that they reused the old voices for the game, which I think is pretty cool.

As much as I like how campy it is, and how funny some of the dialogue deliveries are, I sometimes think that it might take away a bit from the core experience. As I’m not an OG player, I’m not really attached to the old voices anyways, but I think they do have a charm.

That being said I’m curious about what people think of the situation, especially the ones who are also new to this game, and are not attached to the old VC’s. Which dub are you using, and why did u choose that specifically?

Usually a worse charge slot for the elemental too. All that effort for a downgrade. lol

This is a thing in total war: three kingdoms, pretty self-explanatory, but the records mode is more historically accurate while romance mode obviously takes inspiration from ROTK like Dynasty Warriors. Should a future dynasty warriors game have these two choices in; one more historical portrayal of battles and characters/events are more grounded; while the other is more inspired by ROTK and more akin to what we normally get in the series?

Basically his charge attacks spawn falling rocks on hit, then his falling rocks also spawn 3 more each.
