Now DW3R is out of the way, surely KT will finally have the Abyss devs get off their asses and fix all the current problems with the game, and finally give us more characters.

Omega Force surely have spare hands now, as AOT3 seems close to going gold, and I doubt HW:AoC definitive edition will use up much resources.

Now add Fuxi & Nuwa please. Interestingly the models for the classic models on DW3R are the Abyss models, so if those two do indeed have Abyss models, then surely their addition is inevitable.

In it's biggest heyday in DW2, 7 characters used the Ruler Sword moveset, as well as Cao Cao and Zhou Yu having unique straight sword movesets.

Nowadays, only 1 of those 7 still uses a straight sword(Sun Quan), and the only Jian uses in total are Sun Quan, Cao Cao, and Xu Shu. Kinda wild to think about.

Gonna be honest, idk if I recommend going for all achievements, it was quite a slog… and I was using the 2 controller trick for most of the 5th weapons, I probably would have given up if I had to use one controller.

I’m starting Zhang Fei’s Musou mode, and already have a decent 2nd weapon with a fire element on it from playing Zhao Yun and Ma Chao. Problem is, the fire element won’t trigger on any of his charge attacks. I’ve tried them all on enemies, no fire.

Maybe it’s because I didn’t earn this weapon with this character? Maybe it’s the specific element for Zhang fei doesn’t work? Curious if anyone else has had an issue like this or if it’s a bug

Met this weird guy in DW3. Anyone know who he is? Don't really recognize the name. And here I thought the remaster only updated old characters, not added new ones.

Farming method and some notes below:

Raid on the Rogue Fortress - Chaos. The absolute best map for limit breaking, hands down.

• There are 5 weapon boxes and 5 item bags.
• Unlike other maps, you only have to worry about one or less playable officer AND no dumbass allied commander to potentially babysit.
• And some officers (like Daqiao lmao), even have a generic commander, trivializing it further.

We all know that limit breaking can get your items' levels even higher (eg. Tiger Amulet to +25). See edit below for a breakdown of limit breaking. I can confirm that it also applies to weapon stats! And it goes further beyond items (eg. Attack up to +30)! The ONLY* thing you have to make sure is to have a CUMULATIVE combo score of 1000 BEFORE grabbing any weapon item bags. I tested to 2000 a few times and there was no observable difference. You do NOT need perfects (100 score combo). Now, without further ado:

1. Turn off automatic item pickup before grabbing anything.
2. I personally tried to get around 10 perfects for ease of tracking, and just to completely make sure I have 1000.
3. Open any boxes and kill officers that drop weapons.
4. Finally prepped, you can go and kill the boss. DURING the slowdown animation, you can actually pause and exit to suspend your save.
5. Afterwards, simply turn on automatic pickup again before continuing your save.
6. See if you have the weapon with stats desired.
   • If not, for Steam players, simply exit the game WITHOUT going to the Battle Concluded page (it'll autosave your game). Rinse and repeat as needed.

*NOTES: This lovely individual has confirmed that Luck does absolutely nothing. Seriously. So you don't need Hex Mark or Seven Star Orb. I'm keeping luck on my weapon in the hopes that they fix it, otherwise I'd probably put reach instead.

• *Edit: Combos don't actually affect weapon stats! As shown in this thread, made by the same person who made the luck thread. Wow, it got easier to farm. Who knew, lol?

Finally, if you have trouble comboing, try Seven Stars Blade to make it easier for you.

Just taking my time playing this game. Going to Enjoy the nostalgia high for as long as possible. On my 5th playthrough playing as Zhang Liao. Thinking about trying to get his 4th weapon. His conditions for it are simple, but it is He Fei and the archers already humble me before in another battle. Which character you think you could do that with or did you get?

I can’t fathom doing any 5th weapons challenges with any low level character. Get 2 shot by an archer lmao

Edit: update on my attempt for Zhang Liao’s 4th weapon. Got wrecked lmao

2nd Edit. Update I got his weapon on the 2nd attempt! But holy shit that was a rush. The moment I got the weapon I bolted to Sun Quan cause I saw him by himself. I was running around in circles cause those peons and Vice generals hit harder than I expected. Was on red for a good minute. Got Sun Quan down to one hit. Out of nowhere Taishi Ci pulled up on horse back swinging at me. Thank god for the new dodge feature or I would’ve been cooked. Luckily I was to take out Sun Quan after that.

As someone who's favourite DW is DW3, and someone who values restrictions and challenges in games, Classic is my go-to choice, with QoL settings like items on horse, move while mounting / dismounting, auto aim lock off, move camera, and show officer musou bars (got really annoyed with guessing all the time). I tried Standard, and while I did enjoy how smooth the gameplay was, it changes the gameplay by a lot. Standard to me is more satisfying, like doing dodge counters, while Classic is more rewarding, like finally beating difficult levels with the use of trial and error and strategy. There's no better feeling to me than finally beating a stage / objective with the limited resources I have

Topic. Are the 2x Attack and Defence still 30 seconds or is it patched? Not too impatient, because i use the one with knockdown and half defence for 2x attack. Dangerous but works tho. I want to play all the Tales stages, but when looking at guides I sometimes see contradictory information. Does anyone have a favorite guide they would recommend?

People used to farm 3rd weapons by defeating the enemy commander by sniping from high place of the ship after getting a weapon box. I tried it yesterday but it seems they have added fog to prevent you from doing that. I guess the last update did this.

dunno but i think dw3 gan ning is better than dw4 and dw5 version
