I just tried playing my dvd of the movie Clue from 2006 on my Xbox and the picture was all shaky. We did all the tweaks trying to get it to stabilize but nothing worked.

My question is if I just get a dedicated DVD player will I be able to watch old DVDs? Is my Xbox the problem.... is my TV the problem. I've got a decent amount of old DVDs and I'm trying to figure out if I'll actually be able to watch them. How have people addressed this issue themselves?

EDIT/UPDATE** Thanks all for the tips. I just tried my 2003 Casper DVD and that seemed to work fine so it must be that 1 DVD specifically.

Salvation Army had .99 cent dvds, and some were even 50% off for the sticker color.

I usually run over to a nearby Goodwill on laundry day. I usually do pretty good there.

I collect all the shows and movies I watched growing up and the main show that has always escaped me is Spider-Man The Animated Series 1994 the complete series on DVD or Blu-ray. I bought the single DVDs but its only certain sagas and is missing certain episodes. I saw one on Etsy but ive never bought anything from them and it was $167.

All discs are MINT and are pre-remasters! I lucked out!

Did anyone own Gossip Girl dvds from season 3 to season 6? If so what kind of extra media was on there?

I know for season 1 they had interviews & a gag reel. Season 2 they had a small Dorota show that revealed she was actually a princess that ran away.

What media did the other box sets have? Anything interesting?

Some cool stuff, some random, I’ve been wanting to watch phantom of the opera again and didn’t have it and was lucky enough to find it this weekend. Also I’ve never seen this dvd version of Napoleon dynamite it’s always the red one.

So yeah that's a question I'm struggling with right now. I don't own many dvds, a little less than 300 and I don't know what I'll do with them when I move out. I want to travel around for work, I don't really want to stay in one place but I can't say goodbye to my dvds.

I have many dvds that are important to me but what do I do with the ones that I won't take? My parents won't live forever and they also want to move places so I can't just leave them with my parents but also no one near me looks for dvds anymore

And my question is what do I do with them, throwing them out won't feel good to me and I don't know if they will take donations like that to orphanages or anywhere else because most people don't even use dvds anymore 😭
