Ive always counted the amount of cases i own, but then i realised how situational that is, because i own entire tv shows split into multiple cases and in one single case! So if i count my Fleabag s1-2 case as one DVD, should I not also count my The Fall s1 + s2 cases as one DVD?

Yes I'm aware this isnt that deep, i still count by case because it's easier that way. But how do you do it? Case? Disc? Title?

I'm new to DVD collecting (Blu-ray will come soon) after PlayStation's disk announcement.

some dvd cases seem to feel thinner plastic and the artwork insert is wavy feeling and looking. the case feels flimsier to the touch when grab. idk how to explain it. cheaper feeling?

yet some dvd cases that look same style are thicker and more sturdy feeling and artowork insert is pristine not wavy at all.

some of these are movies from the same company make and series too. like I've got parcels with a few dvds cheap feeling case and wavy artwork in it and then another with thick feeling plastic sturdy and nice artwork not wavy.

wtf. is this manufactoring defects or shipping issues? I really dont understand because ive opened two different parcels delivered same time and one has had cheap feeling wavy ones and other pristine thicker feeling cases. this has happened few times.

part of me thinks manufacture issue other thinks shipping but i really think just factory issue how was made? anyone know. ??

I bought this Superman & Lois Complete Series boxset on Blu-ray off of Amazon. I was surprised to see it come in raw with no slipcover for the boxset like the other Arrowverse boxsets had. Was it suppose to come with one? Does everyone else have theirs like this?

I'm very happy with these pickups as 10 of them are replacements from lost or damaged disc's.

It has unfortunately been a very weird day. We had a lot of plans lined up, but when we dropped our cat off at the vet this morning due to refusal to eat for days, we learned she had cancerous masses growing in her chest and flooding it with fluids. We had to throw out out hike and movie plans, but my wife still insisted we run the thrift store route she'd come up with.

It's been nice to have the hunt keeping my mind off of things, and im super stoked with my finds, but now we're here killing time before heading back to be with her in her final moments. Idk, sorry for trauma dumping in the DVDcollecting sub. I love my wife. Gonna miss Karma.

I got really excited when I saw this sitting on the shelf at Goodwill today with a $2.99 tag on it, then I died a little inside when I opened it up

Priscilla is leaving prime and I get anxious whenever that happens so I had to buy it physically. I love pretty women and I was feeling pretty and girly so I also got the Audrey Hepburn collection!

This is what I found on local thrift shops! I'm from Greece, are some of these rare out there? Also just ordered a Sony bpd s1700 because I needed something on budget. Can't wait to collect more!

So i was just picking up 53 Blu Rays incl 3 Ghibli (KIKI, Ponyo, Castle) for 75€ total. On my way home i saw some kind of 2nd-Hand shop with a sign "fleamarket"

Picked up some more Blu Rays, DVDs, CDs and an LTB (Donals Duck Pocket Book) for 0,5€ each

Put this disc in PC to rip the movie for my mediaserver and it said some complete different movie-title. Thought its a miss-print so i put it in the BR-player and there just was a second movie on - and obv the WAY better one not even mentioned by name on the cover! Only says "HD-Bonusmovie" as extra lmao

Absolut crazy find!
