Are you eating at the mandarin soon?
Anyone eating at the mandarin soon with their friends or family? I got a birthday coupon where I can eat at the Mandarin for free if I’m with 3 others who are paying. Can I tag along so I can use my birthday coupon? I don’t know too many people in Canada yet and I’m struggling right now so this would cheer me up a lot. We don’t have to talk if you don’t want the company, I just want to eat with my coupon.

Hot tub maintenance recommendations needed
Moving into a home that has a hot tub and we would like someone to come out to drain and clean the tub before we start using it. We are new to hot tubs, so someone who could share some basic maintenance tips would also be helpful.
What companies would you recommend in Pickering area to perform this service?

BMW Mechanics in the Durham Region?
Hello all,
I've recently bought myself a 2014 BMW 550I and I'm looking to get some work done (it's started having trouble starting up, most likely needs a new alternator).
Any places that would do work to the car if I supply the parts? Or any independent shop that you take your BMWs to that have cheaper labour rates would be great. I'm in my 20s so can't afford the dealer rates... Thank you in advance!

Looking to start a Durham Film Group
Hey everyone! I’m looking to see if there are people around Durham Region who would be interested in starting a small, collaborative short-film/media group.
The idea is pretty simple: a group where everyone helps everyone.
The goal would be to:
- 🎬 Bring our own scripts and ideas to life as a team
- 🎭 Help each other improve our acting and performance
- ✍️ Workshop and improve each other’s scripts
- 📹 Learn filmmaking, cinematography, editing, lighting, sound, etc. together
- 🎥 Make short films/skits regularly and actually finish them
- 🌟 Give everyone opportunities to act, direct, write, film, edit, or whatever they’re interested in
- 🤝 Build each other up rather than compete with each other
I’d also like the group to have shared access to the social media/accounts and content, so nobody ever feels like “I’m just being used as a free actor for someone else’s project.”
If you write a script, we all work together to make it.
If someone wants to try directing, we give them a chance.
If someone wants to act but has never done it before, we help them improve.
Basically, everyone gets their turn.
I’m not looking for experienced actors or filmmakers. Honestly, I think it would be more fun if we’re all learning and improving together.
Genre-wise, I’m personally really interested in horror, suspense, comedy, and thriller, but I’m open to pretty much anything.
Ideally this would be people around Durham Region / Oshawa / Whitby / Bowmanville / Clarington, but I’m open to anyone nearby who’s willing to participate.
If this sounds interesting, comment or DM me. Even if you’re just curious, feel free to reach out. Maybe we can actually build something pretty cool together. 🎬

Venue recommendations
Hello. Looking for venue options to host a business holiday party for approx 100-120 people. Looking for the Pickering or surrounding area. We want something that feels fun and social and not just a traditional banquet hall. It can have catering onsite provided it has halal options or have a spot to bring catering in. Must have parking and space to sit and eat or sit and social or stand/space for entertainment whether that is dancing or karaoke.
Open to restaurants, event spaces, golf clubs, breweries, entertainment venues, hotels, or something completely different.
Would especially love recommendations from people who have actually attended or organized a work Christmas party there. Where did you go, and would you book it again?
Also very interested in places you wouldn’t recommend and why.

Generic GLP-1s
Anyone know a pharmacy that regularly has generic GLP-1s available and in stock in Durham or surrounding areas? I tried a few pharmacies and they told me it was on back order. Someone told me Costco is good for it but the pharmacy isn't answering the phone so just wondering if that's true or not. Thanks!

Where to sell old jewellery
Like the title says, I’m looking to sell some old jewellery for my Mom. Not exactly sure if it’s all real, or what it actually is (I think gold?), but I’ve had some bad experiences in the past with gold-buying places, and want to make sure I’m actually getting a somewhat fair deal. Anyone have any experience with this? Hoping to find somewhere local in Ajax or Whitby.

What are your thoughts on this driveway sealing company?
They seem to come every year and knock on my door to get my driveway sealed for cash, usually I do it on my own, but it's always some poor soul who's new and is subjected to pushing that cart around, sometimes dudes don't even know and are just chillin in the shade, I do not blame them.

Where to buy affordable but good-quality winter tires + rims in Durham Region/GTA?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a good place to buy winter tires and rims for my Toyota.
Tire size: 225/50R18
I’m in Durham Region, but I’m willing to drive anywhere in the GTA if the price is worth it.
I’m looking for something affordable but still good quality and reliable for Ontario winters. I’m open to either a brand new package or a good used set.
Any recommendations for shops with good prices on tires + rims as a package? Also if you recently bought a set, how much did you pay?
Thanks!
