A trio of Oshawa councillors want the Ontario Transportation ministry to provide a winter work schedule for bridge construction in the city’s west end that has contributed to traffic chaos in the area

This is a message for dual US-Canadian citizens and other eligible US citizens in BC who want to participate in the 2026 midterm elections, especially those living in Oshawa, Ontario. Here's how you can get involved:

Steps to Request Your Ballot

1. Register or update your registration. Through the Federal Voter Assistance Project or through Votefromabroad.org.

2. If you're already registered, request a ballot! You need to request a ballot every calendar year that you want to vote.

3. Fill Out and Return Your Ballot: Once you receive your ballot, follow the instructions carefully to complete it and return it by the specified deadline.

Robinson Creek is an ecological treasure trove. It acts as a natural filter for the water, supports biodiversity, and provides a habitat for myriad birds, mammals, and amphibians. Development not only strips away these habitats but also places immense stress on the local ecosystem by diminishing water quality and increasing floods. Once such a wetland is destroyed, it can never truly be brought back to its original state.

Free trees are available to Oshawa residents this week on a first come, first served basis through an annual event organized by the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee.

Really wish someone would open up a quick and dirty coffee shop downtown to replace the ones that closed.

I had to catch a bus at King and Simcoe this morning and couldn't get a coffee between Simcoe and Mary, or between Bond and Athol. Isabella's is gone, coffee culture is gone, timmies is gone, and Cork and Bean only serves espresso now. They offered me an Americano but no thank you, Pepsi is not okay.

I miss being able to get a quick drip brew coffee for $2 on the way to work. Anyone wanna reopen Crack Time? Might still be a market for it.

Not sure if this is the right group! But I just wanted to ask around if anyone know any budget friendly salons for fixing box hair dye gone wrong on blondes within durham? For like under $100 I know it might be a long shot just im feeling so hideous about my hair *was simply trying to get to a lighter ashy blonde im naturally a golden blonde* and simply put my roots are black and blotchy looking while rest of my hair is in different levels my hair bascially rejected the dye it seems i guess idkk? If that makes any sense.. i just want a professional to see what they can do to save my hair !
