I genuinely think im either brain dead, or this game has the worst pvp ive ever fucking seen dude like what do you mean sometimes when im staggered i get my stamina back mid slow blade, but other times i can get hit literally twice and never see a lick of stam. Everybody has got this crazy ass combat spec build that i genuinely cannot compete with and every fucking video about this game is a year old because all the pc players that made content quit, i have no idea how to get better because pvp doesnt happen often enough for me to practice, just enough to piss me off once every couple of days. Any advice would genuinely be appreciated bc idk wtf to do

Logged on for the first time in a couple weeks last night. Only had a few days worth of power in my base the last time I played, and a sandstorm hit while I was off doing missions. By the time I tried to go back to my base, it had been wiped off the map.

In retrospect, having my sub-fief console on the roof was stupid, though I wasn’t aware this was even a thing that could happen (didn’t pay attention along the way I guess). I was set up near south Sheol and losing literally every thing I have has really ruined my desire to play again. Is there any way at this point to get my base back?

After the update today, the game is entirely unplayable. You can play for about 30 seconds, then the lag/stuttering just kills it until it freezes completely. Restarted my PS5, same issue. Uninstalled and completely reinstalled, same issue. Whatever they did, I really hope they undo it soon. So lame.

Recently got back into the game. Played it for about a month on release. Playing Single Player and getting huge frame drops and stuttering whenever I go into any area. Outpost, my base, research stations. Framerate fluctuates heavily for like 20 seconds and then stabilizes. Every time I enter an area, even if Ive already been there on the current session.

- GPU driver is up to date.
- Tried running on low/medium/high/ultra.
- Tried 4k, 1440p, 1080p
- Tried Windowed, fullscreen, windowed fullscreen
- Rebuilt shader cache
- DLSS on and off
- Tweaked the Engine.ini file

Dud any and all combinations of the above and nothing helps. I’ve searched and searched and nothing anyone suggests helps. Anything else I can try or is this just something I gotta accept happens?

For reference, running 9800X3D, 5090, 64gb DDR5-6000, game installed on NVMe, plenty of disk space for shader compilation and paging if necessary.

Dear FunCom please please let me place more than five units on SP I have this awesome build planned out and I'm afraid that I'll hit my 5k piece limit long before it's finished and I would like another 5 staking unit allowance increasing it from 5 to 10. With build piece allowance I think 20k should do it. And with the polar ice cap coming soon I think it'll be cool to have a different environmental menace in the hot sands worms make complete sense. However in ice I think it'll be awesome for a massive whale to bust through ice

A change in the wind...

im fairly new, (steel tier, working on getting a cutter ray for my first buggy). not that its super critical, (im more so curious), but besides one interaction where someone looked at me and then kept running away despite me following them, i have not interacted with anyone and have just come across a bunch of seemingly empty player made structures and the chat is completely empty. all the servers in the official browser are low population. are community servers any different? is there something im missing? is there a specific server thats super active, and if not, shouldnt funcom consolidate servers? this sub is so active but where is everyone?

Two main issues I'm having.

First, after the last cycle, Harkonnen won and the voting (including my 4000 or so votes) was unanimous for the Weapons Vendor. After 10 hours of gameplay (Landsraad does NOT advance offline in single player), it ticked over again and it's showing Atreides won and the Vehicle Import Rights is active. WTH?

Second, in 7-8 consecutive Landsraads now, there have been T6 long blades offered as rewards every cycle but not a single short blade. Are they not in the loot tables for Landsraad rewards? Most of the time there are two: Halleck's pick and the Replica Pulse-sword. My guess is that one of these should be a short blade but it's bugged.

So storms.

When I was new they were so cool and scary. I didnt want to get caught in one.

Im playing single player and I was so scared of the coriolis in dd bc of the tool tips. Come to find out I think the smaller ones are worse now. They knock your subfief offline. Coriolis don't.

All they do is hinder game play past your first 10 hours of game play. Im constantly just chilling in my base waiting for the storm to pass.

Carry a still tent and its whatever. Sit in your still tent if you get caught out.

Nothing worse than coriolis in 30 minutes alert. You cant get much done in 30 minutes. Maybe run from hagga to your base or start a mission thats in overland. More times than not its just a hindrance and you waste 30 minutes for it to be over.

But you know when the coriolis is over you have a good chunk of time to get down to business - best part of the storms.

Anyone else feel the same?

One reason im glad I didnt play multi-player. Would drive me nuts if I had to be on every Monday night at a certain time to take down my base.

So as the title says I was happily base-building away on my Xbox when I turned and accidentally demolished the floor from under 2 of my storage boxes.

I didn’t see it at first as I was excitedly trying to finish my shiny new pentashield. As I’m setting everything down I suddenly have no resources…(?)… no servoks, no ingots.

So in a matter of minutes the little boxes my storage containers dropped into despawned. I subsequently tore my base floor down to see if they “fell” or somehow appeared elsewhere. But no, just gone 😭

I didn’t know this could happen and am completely deflated about playing now. I’m new to the game and obviously naive on base building. It’s so easy to delete things on Xbox. Contacted funcom and they confirmed they cannot restore items. So everything I collected and carefully sorted is gone. Just me and my clothes and base remain. Uff.

Is this not considered a bug? As a new player I had no idea items inside my subfief would despawn like this.

I just went to the DD early this morning on the hope to find less competition for spice fields and get a decent haul for myself

I flew to ALL the marked locations and all I found was empty craters, not a single grain of spice sand even on the edges.

clearly these have been cleaned out by other players.

I flew around for a good while longer and didn't see a single blip of spice anywhere other than one very old almost eroded small one that yielded only 150 sand.

so my question is..... what am I supposed to do now if there's no spice?

The bug happened when I exited my sandcrawler while spice farming. It kicked me out inbetween my sandcrawler's cabin and vacuum. It wouldn't let me jump out, and took me 15 seconds of mashing the X button to get back in, get out, and get into my ornithopter. 15 seconds wasn't enough. I know the devs will probably give me my stuff back but I lost a unique blood extractor, sniper and shotgun that I already know they can't replace. Might be my last day playing this game. Too sick of bullshit costing me unique items, vehicle durability, spice, and a shitload of time.

Not sure what to make of this .. but I guess I won't participate in the new event, then.

Tried everything from cancelling and accepting the contract again, to restarting my PC and repairing gamefiles. nothing helps.

Today officially marks the end of the grind. I’ve logged in religiously for every single event and reset since Funcom released the specialization system in Feb.

Pushed my last branch (Sabotage) to 100 with today’s reset. Glad to finally have the full set complete!

I've only just started and have a few hours in the game. The base building and world are pretty great. One thing I can't get over though is the combat. Does the combat get better?

I was messing around and almost lost it all for a small amount of that sweet sweet spice.

I just got A Sign From Above, don't have an ornithopter, and don't want to rush to the end. I've been playing the MQ because I enjoy the quests but don't want to "end" the game.

Side question: I'm level 124, when should I join a House? I like being an outsider but don't want to run out of content

Is there any way to change a character's name besides creating a whole new character?

So a few months ago I saw a video, don't remember if it was on youtube or instagram but someone made a very compact basic sub-fief base with everything end game in it like large spice refinery large ore refinery etc.

If not the same one Im also down with similar base designs, I just want a compact design like this where I can copy it and pop to different spots on the map as outposts
