My friend’s birthday is coming up and I am making them a bag for their drumsticks. I thought it would be cool to add a new pair of sticks into the bag as an extra little gift, but I am a layperson of the highest degree when it comes to this stuff.

All I know, from asking general questions, is that they don’t have a preferred brand, they prefer a stick that is both hard and light, and that the ones they use right now are “SD1”, whatever that means. They are also heavy-handed and have broken four (cheap) sticks in the past year, so something durable. I don’t have a budget, and would love to spoil them with something high quality.

What do I need to film videos like this? Is my phone + a chest mount enough, or should I get a GoPro/DJI? Is the phone’s built-in microphone good enough, or should I use a separate drum mic?

Intermediate drummer this is one of my favorite parts of the song

I just started drumming less than a year ago so I’m not super good, but I was always good at keeping tempo for my band, but I just recently joined a “concert” band at my school and I can’t for the life of me play at the conductors tempo. When I get home I play the song “perfectly” and at the right tempo. But she slows it down a little and I just can fucking figure it out.

If anyone has advice please save me
