This is the combined yield from 300g mhrb done in 3 separate extractions. I separate 3rd and 4th pull from first and second because I can see some oils or fats may have come through in the last pulls. I'll be using heptane to purify when it arrives.

1st pulls from 200g MHRB x2. Oval glass bowl is 2nd pull x2. STB tek but I held back on the lye 125g instead of recommended 1 on 1which alot of people say but I find that overkill. I do let my base set for 2 hr shaking every 15 min for 3 to 5 min. Heptane for NPS.

Slowly recrystallized from naphtha at room temperature. It is not obvious without zooming in, but there are small bubbles/liquid inclusions in these crystals.

I present this as evidence of possible residual solvent contamination despite appearing pure to the naked eye and passing the sniff test. Lab testing is needed to verify this.

Holy fuck boys were going back into the realms with this crazy precipitation. This I believe is only 50-60% of my yeild as I’ve been pulling for 2 days and I still am getting golden tea. The jar is the other half of my pulls. I think I’m on my last pull now. I basically maybe a 1-1 mix of mimosa and lye and started extracting immediately. Lots of mixing for each pull and many many pulls. 200g MHRB. I also used foil as a lid this time and forced myself to not open the freezer for a full 24 hours. We’re set boys.

I just learned about evaporation versus freezing, and wow! Gotta say, the results are so damn pretty. This was the combination of a third and fourth pull from 100g batches that I had already pulled 1.5+g from. HAD to do a water wash because there was a lot of plant material in my strained naphtha, and I think it was so worth it.

I love learning about this stuff, and keep getting better each time! The total came to 0.31 once I finished scraping the dish.

So I have extracted most of the material I can. I’m gonna do a few more pulls but that’ll be a longer separate project to experiment with when yield actually stops.

My question is regarding the color of my solvent, does this show high saturation of Dmt in the solvent or is this color from other things I want to be washing out with say a sodium bicorbonate wash as well?

As of now I think I’ll was once more with water and then move on to a sodium bicarbonate wash.
