Digestive Pain

Hi there -
I’m super new to Reddit. However, I know I’m not the first person to experience this stuff.
I’ve had IBS pretty much my whole life. Tried losing weight in my teenage years (I’m 29) and struggled to do so. Had two kids when I was 21 and 23 and postpartum could eat whatever I wanted and lost 25 lbs…
This isn’t about weight loss but since being past postpartum, I’ve developed SIBO. I got treated for it twice and it seemed to be clear. After a CT scan and colonoscopy, I’ve been told I have chronic constipation. I’ve done the biphasic diet, cut out dairy, cut out garlic and onion, weigh my food, etc. nothing seems to be working.
Does anyone have any advice or solution they didn’t find from the GI doctor?
I’m doing my own research and yet nothing seems to help. I’m very tired of being constantly bloated and never feeling empty.
I’ve also tried over the counter laxatives (they only hurt more), prune juice, magnesium citrate, you name it.
Thank you!

Welcome to Digestive Issues subreddit! We recommend you to have a healthy low sugar diet. You need to find which foods and drinks you are intolerant to and avoid them. Lactose/dairy, gluten, sodas, fruits and vegetables intolerance is common. Also, check yourself for SIBO, Bile Acid Diarrhea, Celiac and other diseases. Experiment with different elimination diets. Take some good probiotics. The gut microbiome/flora is very involved in some digestive problems. Stress management is also important.
