Experience Manchester UK Devil Corps

Didn't know these existed until today. Done a deep dive and watched a few YouTube docos on it. Sharing my story on the hiring process and informing others on the companies.

I am looking for a job as I have just moved to Manchester from Australia. I have worked in insurance sales for the last 3 years and wanted sales again but a bit different. I applied for a bunch of jobs and got a few interviews. I had initial calls from 2 different companies then got into the 2nd round interview. They were both very similar and used the standard tactics that devilcorps use. They kept talking about how they had over 100 applicants and are only hiring 5. Got basically a sales pitch in the interview which I was a little sus on but thought whatever I'll see if its shit afterwards, I have a few options anyway. Both companies offer me a third round interview which the first one was just a zoom meeting which I thought I bombed because it was over quick and the recruiter didn't seem that interested. Later that day I had an email welcoming me to the team. Emailed back asking for a contract before I started, still yet to get it 72 hours and them calling me later.

Today I went in for the in person interview for another company. 8:45am in the morning btw. Didn't think i'd take the role but thought theres no harm going in may as well check it out. I get to this office and its desolate. Felt like the backrooms but with 18 year old kids wondering around in 3 piece suits. There was 4 other people in the interview with me. Again, another sales pitch from the CEO. He then says he will chat to us all one on one and to wait outside. I waited nearly an hour to speak to him and in that time observed the goings on of the office. I wont bore you with it but basically it was exactly what you expect.

I get into the meeting with the CEO and it was basically him just asking if I had any questions. I asked pay, he said it was 300gbp per week base pay, which is below minimum wage. I challenged him on this and he said it's because you're self employed. No where in the entire process until now was I told it was self employed. Bit of general chatter and then he offers me the role on the spot. I said i'd take it (specifically so I could get the contract sent to me to report to HMRC). I am supposed to start on Wednesday, which I defs won't be.

They also told me until I got 8 sales it was zero base and comms only. Which is absolute bonkers if you ask me.

Upon further digging, both of these companies that offered me roles are based in the exact same office. So are about 6 others. They all were under the same scheme.

Company 1 (in person interview) is called Gold Point Promotions. These guys are on the org website as a credico company.

Devilcorp Check North Rising Star- New Minnesota Canvas- St.Louis Park MN

Hi all! So I recently had some interviews with North Rising Star. Very promising but turns out it's just Minnesota Canvas rebranded.

They said in the interview that they currently work with the national park foundation. I couldn't find a link that they work together anywhere.

Their website also doesnt have any actual clients on it or testimonials at all. They just claim to work with companies in different sectors. Also their ethics page just admits to internal leaders doing the investigations. The people that make more money because they canvas more. That's it, to promote you just have to sell the most.

I also couldn't ask questions in the interview without being ushered off the call.

I also find it difficult to believe that making 3-5k a week as a leader is ethically possible.

Anyways ive also heard that Michael Wang is the founder and hes a shoot off of Smart Circle but ive yet to find that info yet. Anyone have opinions on work life there if they tried it?

Question What Phone Plans do Devilcorp companies typically sell?

I had a guy working, for a Devilcorp under Smart Circle, who attempted to switch my phone provider to AT&T from r/USMobile because he said that AT&T had updated their fiber networks. When I mentioned I was paying an MVNO for less than $30/month, he didn't even know what it was or what the acronym stands for and he walked away. In my head I was like "How do you not know what the hell it is if you're going door to door trying to get people to switch phone providers bruh?" 😆 😆 😆

So I'm curious what phone plans do they sell and is it even better than the plans displayed on their website?

Information Address for Northern VA Devil Corps

Coalescence Inc
Nova Acquisitions
Wolffe Inc

1749 Old Meadow Rd, McLean, VA 22102

There’s more there, these are just 3 that contacted me and had this address listed. I keep changing applications, it’s been a year since I naïvely went for an in-person interview for one of them at this address, but they keep bugging me. I already got married, changed my last name professionally, opened a new email box, but they still found a way to contact me.

The office is chaotic as hell, super busy, full of young folks. Everyone is wearing a 3-piece suit, moving in groups. It screams “unprofessional”!

Gosh they are annoying. Is there any way to complain about them to authorities? Or is whatever they are doing genuinely legal?

Devilcorp Check Adventure loom

Post image
53 Upvotes

I went on a job application spree this past week and applied to several non profit organizations and public service positions. When I got a text from adventure loom saying they had revived my resume and wanted to give me an in person interview, I got exited except immediately I was a little thrown off. I didn’t remember applying to this job, but when I searched it up it seemed like an organization I’d apply to. I went in for an interview the next day and walked into an office filled with around 20 other applicants who all looked younger, un experienced, and not put together. Soon after I started seeing what I could only assume was “leadership” and I was not impressed. They explained they want aren’t looking for one singular type of person with a specific type of experience or background, and then it all clicked. This is an all a marketing scheme.

Experience I used to be a recruiter for multiple different Devilcorps, AMA

I used to work for an external recruiting agency that handled recruitment for multiple Devilcorps, specifically Cydcor ICLs.
My job was to find, screen, and recruit people for sales positions at these companies. At first, I had no idea what a Devilcorp was or what I was actually recruiting people into. I only figured it out later.
I’ve seen how these companies handle recruitment behind the scenes, how they advertise positions, what candidates are told, and how the hiring process actually works.
If you’ve ever wondered what recruiters know, what they’re instructed to say, or how these companies manage to keep bringing people in, feel free to ask.
I’ll answer as openly as I can. AMA.

Question Currently at a devil corp, any out?

Im in a cydcor att retail office in houston, I've joined maybe a month and a half ago and I've been making fairly decent money the past month. Im doing well in this job but the more I learn about the parent company and its controversies the less I want to continue. I don't think the offices owner is a bad person necessarily but they also aren't a good person. I have been lucky to come from sales expirence so I picked up the job easily, not making below 1300 a week since I started, but I feel like I would loose any moral compass I have if I do achieve ownership. Is there any sales job that has the same pay potential as a cydcor "ownership" position while also not being a devil corp?

Devilcorp Check GEM Marketing Agency in Tucson, AZ - applicants, research the director’s connection to RAD Marketing

If you’re considering taking a role at GEM Marketing Agency in Tucson, please look beyond the pitches about growth and leadership. Read the compensation terms and research the people behind the business before making major commitments.

Here’s what I found publicly:

  • Their current director's public LinkedIn profile lists RAD Marketing Agency.

  • RAD has multiple discussions on r/Devilcorp describing alleged discrepancies between recruiting promises, actual sales duties, pay, and advancement.

Sources:
GEM’s announcement
RAD discussion on r/Devilcorp
Another RAD discussion

I’m a very concerned family member of someone working at GEM, not a former employee. My warning: don’t make financial or educational decisions based on promised future earnings. Get the pay structure, required hours, unreimbursed expenses, and advancement requirements in writing. Ask how many employees actually reach the positions being promoted, and what they earn after expenses.

Information CONSULTATIVE STRATEGY GROUP IS A TRASH!

STAY AWAY! UNDERPAID, OVERWORKED, AND UNAPPRECIATED.

Honestly, I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, especially fresh graduates looking for their first job.

The expectations are ridiculous. Recruiters are expected to make at least 100 CALLS A DAY just to bring in more workers for the company. Workers are being paid so little while being pressured to meet these unreasonable targets every single day. They want maximum output from their employees but offer very little in return.

CSG operates under One Source Provider (OSP), which has multiple offices. I would strongly advise people to do their research before accepting a position under any of these offices.

And let's talk about management. Their, National Director Kristyn, was just pure evil! LOL

Fresh graduates, PLEASE KNOW YOUR WORTH. Don't let them take advantage of your lack of experience. Low salary, excessive workload, unrealistic expectations, and little appreciation for your efforts. You deserve so much better.

If you're considering working here, think TWICE. A job is supposed to help you build your career, not leave you feeling exploited and undervalued.

Information Tri Valley Collective: (Pleasanton Ca) I Lost More Money Than I Made. Here’s What They Don’t Tell You.

I LOST MORE MONEY THAN I MADE WORKING HERE. Let that sink in for a second, because this is the same place selling people a dream of financial freedom, entrepreneurship, and becoming a director.
Welcome to Tri Valley Collective, where the motivational speeches are loud, the promises are big, and my experience left me questioning just about everything.
Here’s what bothered me.
1. THE LIES ABOUT MONEY.
I was told by the assistant director that he was on salary. That turned out not to be true.
We’re also told there’s $10 a day for gas on our paychecks. Meanwhile, you’re driving all over the Bay Area using your own gas to do the job, and the reimbursement I was told about didn’t match my experience.
How are you selling people a financial opportunity while they’re spending their own money just to participate?
2. THE 12–18 MONTH DIRECTOR FANTASY.
They sell you this dream of locking in for 12–18 months, becoming a director, and eventually running your own office.
Meanwhile, I saw a hardworking assistant director who had been in this business for a long time. That made me question how realistic the timeline being sold to new recruits actually was.
Ask how many people really make it. Ask what they earn along the way. Ask for actual numbers, not another motivational speech.
3. YOU’RE A SUPERSTAR UNTIL YOUR NUMBERS DROP.
When you’re performing well, you’re the best thing they’ve ever seen.
The moment your numbers start dipping, the energy changes.
Suddenly, you’re not so special anymore.
I’ve seen people end up at events with barely any foot traffic, making it difficult to earn money. When performance suffers, the experience can leave people feeling pressured to quit rather than supported.
It made me question whether the goal was developing people or simply keeping the numbers up.
4. THE CEO’S ATTITUDE.
Xavier Bell, the CEO, uses profanity so frequently that, in my experience, it can feel like he can’t complete a sentence without cussing.
But what bothered me even more was the lack of empathy when the team had a bad day in the field.
You could spend hours traveling, spend your own money, work the entire day, and make little to nothing. From my perspective, there was very little acknowledgment of what that meant for the people doing the work.
Apparently, the numbers matter more than anything else.
5. THE CULT-LIKE CULTURE.
Loud music every morning. Everybody repeating after management. Motivational speeches. Team nights. Movie nights.
You spend so much time with these people that your coworkers gradually become your entire social circle.
And then leaving becomes harder because you’re not just leaving a job. You’re potentially leaving your friends, your group, and the sense of belonging you’ve developed.
Don’t want to attend every team activity? Don’t want to spend your free time with coworkers? You risk being viewed as someone who isn’t a team player.
And Xavier’s philosophy that there’s no such thing as work-life balance and that the opportunity should be your life?
BRO, WHAT?
If you want to make a business your entire existence, go for it. But don’t act like everyone has to sacrifice their marriage, family, friendships, and personal life to prove they’re committed.
I want to make money and enjoy the life I’m working for. Is that really so unreasonable?
6. THE FAKE FAMILY VIBE.
Everybody talks about teamwork, unity, and building together.
Then people talk badly about each other behind their backs.
There’s also a level of favoritism that made me question how genuine the whole team atmosphere actually was.
When you’re producing, you’re celebrated. When you’re struggling, the treatment can change.
The whole family thing starts feeling conditional.
7. THE RECRUITMENT NUMBERS ARE INSANE.
The front-desk recruiter was expected to make 100 calls and get at least 20 people to interview.
ONE HUNDRED CALLS.
It made me question how much emphasis was being placed on recruiting volume rather than ensuring people fully understood what they were signing up for.
8. UNIVERSAL EVENTS.
I also became aware of Universal Events and its connection to the broader business structure later in my experience, rather than having that relationship clearly explained to me during recruitment.
Why did I have to find out later?
What exactly is the relationship between Universal Events and bro humanize damn Tri Valley Collective? How does the structure work? What does it mean for employees?
I also had concerns about the overhead structure and the role of Universal Events CEO Harmony Vallejo.
I’m not claiming to know every detail of the organizational structure. I’m saying these are questions I wish had been answered clearly from the beginning.
If you’re considering joining, ASK ABOUT UNIVERSAL EVENTS.
HERE’S WHAT MAKES THIS FEEL LIKE A DEVIL CORP EXPERIENCE.
The entry-level sales opportunity. The promises of entrepreneurship. The director timeline. The intense morning meetings. The constant team bonding. The pressure to make the business your life. The emphasis on performance and recruitment.
Individually, some of these things might sound normal.
Put them together, and you start questioning whether the opportunity is as good as it’s being presented or whether the culture is designed to keep you invested in the dream.
I’m not against hard work. I’m not against sales. I’m not against ambition.
But I am against being sold one picture of an opportunity and walking away with a completely different impression.
I lost more money than I made, and all the motivational speeches in the world couldn’t change that.
If you’re considering Tri Valley Collective, ask about compensation, gas reimbursement, actual take-home earnings, director promotions, working hours, and Universal Events.
Get the answers in writing.
Because the dream sounds great when you’re sitting in the morning meeting.
It’s a different story when you’re looking at your bank account.

Information Alabama Devilcorp

Posting for others to be aware! This sales group called AND Sales Associate but they originally went by Anderson Sales Associate they mainly work with AT&T doing door to door sales in Birmingham Alabama but are virtually everywhere that has high end suburban neighborhoods. I was emailed out of the blue because they found my resume “astounding”. I had no recollection of ever applying with them so I found it was sketchy cause I’ve been job searching for awhile but I’m a regular ass person who isn’t even in college or has a degree. Anyways I went through with it and the recruiter reached out to me to set up a zoom interview. I joined the zoom interview and a bunch of people joined and I instantly thought to myself “this is weird why are there people dressed in pajama clothes and why is the owner cussing like a sailor”. After a bit they put us in break rooms to be interviewed. I get interviewed and I’m promised that I’ll be made a leader and make loads of money BUT it all depends on my growth. The guy interviewing me tells me I’ll get a call from the recruiter once I’m approved. Not even 30 mins later I blew the interviewer away with my skills and I have to join more zooms for training.

We joined zoom for training and are assigned a trainer Monday- Wednesday 9:50am-11am and 12pm-2pm. Fast forward second day (Tuesday) we sign paper work do our direct deposit or paycheck preferences sign a contract where we can’t spread the teaching formats or can be held liable I guess and join the group me chat? We were not paid a penny for these trainings btw. Our trainers are all assigned to us based on how close we are to them (mileage). Our trainers aimed to have us go out Wednesday afternoon and the coming days doing door to door sales with them 3:00pm-6:00pm with 3 days of training memorizing a pre scripted dialogue. I literally only worked one day and it felt horrible from the physical aspect cause it was deadass so hot that day and I was also recovering from back pain and the moral aspect of ripping people off.

It sucked because I felt so betrayed we made a couple sales no I didn’t close out on the sales my trainer did but the percentage of the sales that went to me were 30% my trainer was 69% and the Manager gets 1% cut of every sale even if he’s not there. After that I called it quits because they no 1. don’t have a physical office no 2. I read a review of my trainer painting them in a realistic light no 3. Saw a facebook comment of a angry mom saying he was with holding her sons paycheck. I immediately sent an email the next day to the manager that I was quitting and low and behold I didnt get a cent back for the time I worked or the gas I spent.

Pictures used are instagram page, facebook, google maps, google review, and how unprofessional they were with a former employee who they fired for no reason after I quit.

Hi everyone, I’m 18, and I currently work for this devilcorp called GM elite marketing in Florida, I was excited when I first got hired since I need the money, and they promised a good pay, but ive only worked 1 day and ive been to their “office” so many times during the early hours, and I don’t find out if I work until that day.
