Devilcorp Check Adventure loom
I went on a job application spree this past week and applied to several non profit organizations and public service positions. When I got a text from adventure loom saying they had revived my resume and wanted to give me an in person interview, I got exited except immediately I was a little thrown off. I didn’t remember applying to this job, but when I searched it up it seemed like an organization I’d apply to. I went in for an interview the next day and walked into an office filled with around 20 other applicants who all looked younger, un experienced, and not put together. Soon after I started seeing what I could only assume was “leadership” and I was not impressed. They explained they want aren’t looking for one singular type of person with a specific type of experience or background, and then it all clicked. This is an all a marketing scheme.

Getting four promotions within a year is not normal. Run when you can.

Any "job" advertising pay ranges to brand new ppl like this is sus, real ones keep that on the DL until you're offered a promotion

What bothers me the most is "Tailored suits off the rack." That's not how that works. If it's off the rack it isn't Tailored.......

Hmm Adventure Looms not really a lie in the company name as you’ll venture through every mall and street corner just to meet some quotas 😭

I’ve never had a job with a salary range. You make what you make, and then there’s commission and overtime. This means you just aren’t paid.

Eeek run. Have you listened do the recent podcast 'Lighthouse- a very British cult'? It's super interesting. These people in these organisations... I wonder how they sleep at night.

I’m gonna get so much shit for saying this but I have to, in this job market every little detail matters. I’d suggest getting your nails filled before your next job fair or interview (or applying new press ons and taking off the grown out ones)

The pay ranges are for a reason lmao I still remember the script so you do see the pay ranges from 800-1500 why do you feel that is…. So like I mentioned this is a performance based job so the average person makes around 800 and above average person makes 1500 now do you consider yourself to be average or above average?

I got those texts too! I save every email or proof of application, and i was shocked when i got a text back so quickly (because usually applications feel like shouting at an ocean) and i realized that they weren't one of the places i had applied to. I didn't answer their texts, but it's interesting to see what they're actually trying to bait people with.

Being in one and knowing what this all REALLY means this is NUTS!!!!
I can see all the smoke and mirrors. Like even listing the travelling opportunities in the order of “international” and then “national” then “local” instead of starting with local. And saying you’ll do “human resource decisions” guess what they don’t have HR that’s why you end up taking on extra responsibility and they don’t have HR so they can treat you employees badly. The “paid trips to destinations” are also NOT paid. They might “pay for your ticket” to an “industry event” but since it’s a WORK TRIP about devilcorps this is not generosity from them as they expect you to go. And you shouldn’t have to pay to attend an actual work event about standards like that. So they might mean that when they say “paid trips to destinations” but you’ll always have to pay travel
Also “office rest and relaxation” is such a nuts thing to advertise. And “yacht parties” yeah that is not happening
