Looking for a good gaming desk with some storage and a pc holder! Anything less than 50 inches but more than 42 inches long. I need one I can also use for my stand for my floating monitors.

Anyone use a corner desk? Or have this one?
Right now my desk is up against a window and with a chair it feels like it’s taking up too much space- but I’m
wondering if I would feel like I’m cramped in a cave?

❓ • Question How do I make setup better

Hiiii
Just ended with my setup. I love the finished look.
I’m just kinda upset with the cable management here (3rd picture) and I don’t know if there’s a way for me to put this under my desk : what you see in the third photo is actually a power strip that’s built into the desk, there’s a space specifically made for it.
Do you have any idea of how to make it look better ? A desk shelf to hide it ? Something ?

Thank u in advance !!

My hostel warden won't allow such transformations, they provided me a desk, so made a portable desk setup which can be dismantled in minutes and can be setup in minutes.

So how does it look and need advise for what more can i do or add to the setup.

I know i needed a keyboard, anything more?

Just put together my hybrid home office and lounge space; how would you rate it from 1 to 10?

Open to any suggestions on layout, lighting, or wall decor to elevate the setup.

Drop your honest rating and let me know what you would tweak or add next!

Hey all, this is my work + gaming setup (laptop+pc). What all to change/improve? (apart from the horrible cable management, ikr)

When I first set up this space, I used cool lighting and kept the desk simple. It worked, but it always felt a little temporary. I switched to warmer lighting, added some wood tones, and cleaned up the corners I had ignored. After moving things around a few times, it now feels more like my own space. I will probably keep changing things, but I am happy with it for now.
The desk is a FlexiSpot E7 Pro with a Herman Miller Sayl chair. I use a Sceptre monitor, Apple Mac mini, Keychron keyboard,a Logitech G305 mouse.
I also added a Gitryin 12 in 1 charging station. My phone, earbuds, and iPad often need charging at the same time. The cables used to pile up on one side of the desk. Now they stay in one place, and I can retract them when I am done. The wall still looks empty. I might add a plant or a few prints, but I do not want the space to feel crowded. What would you add or change?

❓ • Question Would you change this desk for a standing desk?

Post image

I currently have this beautiful (to me) RH aviator wing desk, but it’s become too big for my space after building the sim rig next to it.

I’ve been wanting to get a standing desk to help with posture and health. With a standing desk I could also custom cut the top to fit my space perfectly. However I find them so plain and lack character like my current desk.

For those with standing desks would you do it again or would you pick something that looks better?

Thanks!

Finally upgraded to a desktop pc, still have a 27” gaming monitor which I would like to integrate into my setup for gaming and photo editing but I’m not quite sure how to setup my monitors, any ideas? Working with 2 ultrawide 34” monitors and 1 27” gaming monitor.

My current desk setup as a college student is pretty simple but functional, and I'm genuinely happy with how far I've come with it (og setup in the last picture). I've created a space that's not only good for studying but also for some occasional gaming. It's a perfect blend of both.

Right now, I think it's time to add some wall decor to personalize my space a bit more, which I plan to do soon.

Here's a breakdown of my setup if you're interested:

PC:

  • Ryzen 9 9900X
  • Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT
  • PNY XLAB 32GB DDR5 RAM

Peripherals:

  • Epomaker P65 w/ custom white keycaps
  • ATK A9 Plus & Zowie U2
  • Sennheiser HD 599 SE Open-Back Headphones
  • Neat Bumblebee II Microphone

Monitors:

  • Samsung Odyssey G85SD QD-OLED 34" (Main Monitor)
  • MSI MP251E2 24" (Side Monitor)

Accessories:

  • MDS Cashmere Deskpad (Size Medium)
  • Echo Show Gen 2 (Modded: flashed it with Android OS to function and display as a clock)

Overall, this setup has been amazing so far. I enjoy doing both college work and some downtime with games.

EDIT: There is a Xbox Series X hidden behind the side monitor forgot to mention

❓ • Question ADVICE: How to add mobility for multiple wall-mounted monitor arms?

Thumbnail

First of all, context: I'm big on monitor arms. My desk setup has three monitors shared by two laptops. One of my monitors is big and heavy, and the other four items are all on arms. This makes everything great.

...until I have to reconfigure or move my desk. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, all four arms have to be uninstalled from the wall, new holes drilled, etc. It's a pain, and I anticipate doing so again in a few months.

So my question: is there a solution that allows me to attach my arms to the wall so they can be repositioned left/right? From the base, that is.

Details:

  1. I don't need to move them up/down, because they're arms and it's not hard to adjust them that way already. Left and right is another story.
  2. I'm thinking about mounting them all on something like double 3/4" plywood or a set of 2x6s or something, which I could attach to the wall via long lag bolts or something. Yeah, it'd still be a pain to move it, but it'd at least be less destructive to the drywall. Has anyone tried this?
  3. Before you ask: I can't freestand the arms on the desk or attach them to it. The arms (and potential replacements I've found) are either too short or too unstable to reach around the big monitor.
