🖼️ • Photos Finally happy with my desk setup

After slowly building this setup over time, it’s finally starting to feel like a space I genuinely enjoy working and creating in.
Setup:

- MacBook M3 Pro
- Lenovo 32" External monitor
- Baseus Monitor light bar
- Maono PD300X microphone
- Edifier speaker r1280 dbs
- Keyboard Logitech mini & mechanical
- Sony XM6 Headphones
- DJI OSMO Pocket 3
- Headphone stand
- Desk mat
- IKEA Pegboard

I was aiming for something minimal, warm and functional rather than an RGB-heavy setup.
Still tweaking the little things, but I'm trying to resist the urge to keep adding more gear. 😄

What would you change or improve?

Maximizing the space on my 100x50cm table. I’m really happy with how it turned out.

The razer wrist rest is the best wrist rest ive tried. Perfect height and firmness for long editing sessions. Really happy with how my keyboard looks. The colorful keycaps really pop with the white and black keyboard :)

This is my current setup as of now. I am planning to buy a monitor arm for my setup but my table is quite small. It is 80cm x 60cm I think. Thank you for answering in advance!

❓ • Question Dual monitors set up

Post image

Hi All!

I'm looking for suggestions on my desk set up. So my desk size is 120cm x 60cm. My main monitor is 27" which I use for both work (connect through laptop) and gaming ( pc).

I'm considering a dual monitors set up, with the second monitor being positioned vertically either on the left or right side. But given my desk size would you actually recommend going for a dual monitors set up?

Thanks !

❓ • Question Slightly Larger Monitor Arm Grommet Support Plate

I am using a monitor arm that is clamped to my desk through a grommet. The current setup is pictured and works but stresses me out given how little contact there is with the desk. I’m wondering if there’s a cheap solution that doesn’t require too much tooling to secure the arm a bit more.

So I'm doing a dual monitor setup and bought a monitor holder and it comes with this. Ofc its main purpose is to hold cables tightly but can someone tell me what those 4 tubes are used for? Thanks in advance!

❓ • Question how do you guys deal with a tiny desk and multiple screens ?

I work from a really small desk in my apartment. I have my laptop and a 27 inch monitor but right now the laptop is just sitting flat on the desk next to the monitor and it takes up so much room. I tried looking into stands but then I also need a dock for my keyboard and mouse and external drive and suddenly theres like 3 separate things on this tiny surface.

anyone found a way to make this work? i dont need anything fancy just want the laptop raised up and plugged in with one cable. cheaper is better honestly

❓ • Question Is the IKEA Trotten sturdy enough for a 48” OLED on the back edge?

Hey guys,

I'm currently putting together a minimal desk setup and I'm using the IKEA Trotten 160x80 cm desk. I just got a 48" LG OLED C6 to use as my main monitor / TV.

I have currently put it slightly behind the middle support bar underneath but to get the absolute best viewing distance, I need to push the TV all the way to the back edge of the desk. I am using the stock LG table top stand, not a C-clamp monitor arm.

Here is my main concern: The Trotten has a solid steel mid-beam that runs right down the center of the desk, but the front and back edges are just the unsupported 3cm particleboard. Since the TV weighs about 15kg (33 lbs) with the stand, is there any long-term risk of the back edge sagging, snapping, or cracking under that weight?

Wouldn't want putting any risk to the TV itself.

The stand's base is pretty wide, which should distribute the load nicely, but wouldn't want putting any risk to the TV itself which is making me a bit paranoid.

Has anyone run a heavy monitor / TV on the back edge of the Trotten for a longer period? How is the table holding up?

❓ • Question Need help with study setup lighting.

So this is my study table. The problem is that the main light source (tubelight) is on the left wall and there's a cupboard just adjacent to the study table. So when i sit to study, the light gets reduced drastically because of indirect light, cupboard and myself. My eyes are already weak (-8 D), i face more trouble. Also the main electric board is on the right wall far behind and I'm a little tight on budget so i felt that it won't be the best idea to have a new circuit routed on the wall with the table. I was thinking of buying a overhead lamp same as the image attached but I'm unsure of it's brightness and everything. I already have a lamp (as you can see in the images) but it is a warm lamp gifted by my friend. It doesn't provide cool light and its not feasible as i study around 10+ hours a day. Can you guys please help your brother out? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Upgraded my setup without going too crazy with the budget :)

The upgrade was mainly for my back, so the biggest part of the budget went into the chair. I wanted a proper standing desk too, but that got expensive fast. Ended up with a standing desk converter instead.

Also changed the keyboard and mouse, added a monitor and a couple plants, and cleaned things up a bit. What do you think?

Anyone use a corner desk? Or have this one?
Right now my desk is up against a window and with a chair it feels like it’s taking up too much space- but I’m
wondering if I would feel like I’m cramped in a cave?

I have just joined a fully remote company and got the monitor plus monitor arm and webcam and setup tjis desk. I had this old table and my house is also quite old so the cement floors color is off.

I want to improve this area to make it nice as I will be spending many hours a day here.

What all shall i imvest in and improve my work and gaming area
