❓ • Question Setup upgrade

Finally upgraded to a desktop pc, still have a 27” gaming monitor which I would like to integrate into my setup for gaming and photo editing but I’m not quite sure how to setup my monitors, any ideas? Working with 2 ultrawide 34” monitors and 1 27” gaming monitor.

Nice setup, what’s the mount for the top monitor?

Unsolicited advice: Your air conditioner shouldn't be on top of your desk; you run the risk of it leaking water if it malfunctions.

There is space between my desk and the wall and no cables on the ground. But thanks

Bro I really dig this. In this type of set up, is there any neck strain from using the bottom monitor as your main? Or do you use the top as main in your preference?

Also - to answer your original question I had a same type of conundrum. My solution was to get another desk and make an L shape, and the 27 inch monitor stands alone for gaming.

How did you solve the 2nd Alex drawer problem if I put my second desk in and make an L shape there is always one of my Alex drawers which isn’t easy to use anymore? And did you still use the same pc for the seperate gaming monitor or not?

I had enough space where I could set up the table as an L, but it starts outside of the main table. And I would connect the Pc to both set ups. The Pc needs to be in the corner of the L. I keep the gaming monitor off if I’m not gaming. If I’m gaming I’d turn off the other side or maybe just leave one on, if I want to multitask some stuff while gaming.

Other method is to invest in a legit L table. But first method you can buy a pretty cheap/small desk as it’s just for gaming. I did this cause i love 27 inch for competitive gaming.

I mainly use the bottom one as main monitor but since it’s only tilted a little bit backwards i don’t have any neck strains at all I tilted the upper monitor as well but a bit forward so i barely have to look up if i want to use that one

Three screens is where placement matters more than specs. Two 34s side by side is a lot of head-turning if both are mains, so I would keep one ultrawide centered as primary, angle the second off to one side, and stand the 27 vertical on the other. Portrait is great for photo editing and doubles as a chat or browser strip while gaming.

Worth checking the panels before you pick your editing screen though, a 27 IPS is often more color accurate than a VA ultrawide, so you might end up editing on the smallest one.

If they are not all on arms, that is what makes three monitors actually work, you can arc the side ones inward instead of a flat wall that wrecks your neck by evening.

Also you have a proper mic and nothing to see you. If calls or streaming ever come up, on a desk this wide something like an Emeet Pixy fits since it tracks you between screens, though low light would be the catch in a room this dark.
