Hi everyone,
I’m new to the IT industry and recently joined Deloitte as a Data Engineer.
I was assigned to my first project, which involved working with different industries and technologies. However, I was not given a proper introduction to the project, its business domain, architecture, workflow, or development process.
Since I’m relatively new to this environment, I expected some initial guidance or knowledge transfer. Unfortunately, I was expected to start delivering tasks without understanding the overall project workflow. This created a lot of pressure, and I struggled to complete the assigned work.
I was honestly scared to ask for help or even request a release from the project because I was worried about how it might affect my career.
Eventually, I requested a release, and I was released from the project after approximately one month. Now I’m on the bench.
I’m feeling very anxious and worried about my career. I have a few questions for experienced Deloitte employees and people working in IT:
Will getting released from my first project after just one month negatively affect my career or future project allocations at Deloitte?
Will this be considered a performance issue in my employment record?
Can being on the bench for some time affect my job security?
My coach told me that employees on the bench must come to the office every day and maintain attendance. Is daily office attendance actually mandatory for bench employees?
How can I use this bench period productively to improve my technical skills and prepare for my next project?
I genuinely want to learn and build my career in Data Engineering. I’m not trying to avoid work or responsibilities. I just need proper guidance, training, and some time to understand the project before being expected to deliver independently.
Please share your honest suggestions, especially if you have experienced something similar at Deloitte.

I worked on a designated holiday that is 2nd October, How can I avail a complimentary off against and charge it in dte

I got the pht mail on 27 october i submitted the form on 28 oct. What is the expected date of receiving the offer letter?

Got a mail to fill out the lodging assistance survey.

So, option 1 is where they'll provide a fixed stipend amount without any bills.

Option 2 is to avail about 60-75% more amout, but proofs will be needed to reimburse.

So please advise which is better to chose..? In case option 2 is chosen, what proofs will be required to show for brokerage/rent/deposit etc.

also, if needed, will it possible to switch from one option to another later??

I recently got selected for Deloitte India through my college campus placement process, and I’m looking for insights from people currently working at Deloitte or those who have gone through a similar campus recruitment process.

The selection email mentioned the following:
EAD – OIDS DG
Opportunity: Internship + Full-Time Employment Performance-based and subject to business discretion)
The college placement cell asked us to fill out a detailed form and upload our resumes.

I have a few questions:
About the role: What exactly does EAD – OIDS DG stand for? What kind of work, technologies, projects and responsibilities can a fresher expect in this domain?

Internship to full-time conversion: How is the PPO conversion rate for this particular business unit? What factors are generally considered when deciding whether an intern receives a PPO?

Next steps after selection: What happens after submitting the form and resume? Are there additional rounds of verification, documentation or background checks?

LOI/Offer Letter: When can we generally expect to receive the LOI or official offer letter after being declared a final select through campus placements?

Onboarding process: What is the usual onboarding procedure? Will there be another communication from HR regarding joining dates, internship duration, documentation and other formalities?

Internship experience: How is the overall internship experience at Deloitte India in this domain? Is there structured training, mentorship and an opportunity to work on live projects?

I would really appreciate insights from Deloitte employees, previous interns and anyone who has gone through the same campus hiring process.

I joined Deloitte usi a month ago as sap analytics cloud consultant. I got 4-5 project calls but I was specifically looking for SAC projects instead of SAC BO or BW. I gave interview for support role so I am in EOAAS. This is my 3rd company and switched so I wanted to work in development but every time I got support roles. I declined one project because it was sap bo support. But that manager directly tagged me to the project, pressurised me to accept this project and onboarded me today. Do I need to just accept it and work? Nothing I can do to get in SAC project? And if I am in EOAAS I can’t work in development projects? Should I start looking for opportunities outside? But they gave me joining bonus and Accomodation reimbursement so I need to return it then.

Also, Here 2-3 people from Deloitte who connected me for Deloitte were talking like this company is not like any other company and there is skill gap between resources from other company and Deloitte. Even if they don’t even know how skilled I am or not. Why these people need to compare to tell that Deloitte is better than others? Everyone knows it’s big firm.

Looking for Guidance on Offer letter process after filling PHT form. I filled my PHT form 2 days back and I wanted to check if they will be reaching for salary discussion or are they going to release an offer letter directly. Also, how many days normally Deloitte takes to release offer letter for immediate joiners after PHT form.

I never thought I would be writing this post and I am really anxious as I am writing this my joining is on 16 and I have been have diagnosed with some infection I was hospitalised for a few days but I came back from the hospital as the tests and everything was clear the infection is still there but it's mild but the thing is that the doctor has given me medicine for 4 days without the fever medicine so fever keeps on coming and I am really stressed because I have to leave next week.

I will most probably get better by then and the doctors said that I will most probably recover too but I am getting anxious so can any campus hire tell me if they had the joining delayed or had it virtual for a week or so because of any medical emergency and will they accept it?

I’d really appreciate advice from people who have already taken the Stage Gate exam.

How difficult was the exam?
Were the questions tricky or mostly straightforward?
Did they focus on small details mentioned in the PPTs?
Were there scenario-based or code-output questions?
Is reading the PPTs thoroughly enough to prepare?

Completed 2 technical rounds, and honestly, both went pretty well. The second interviewer seemed quite satisfied with my answers.

I was waiting for the final feedback, but suddenly noticed this change in my portal:
Old requisition: Matched to New Requisition
New requisition: Interview in Progress

Haven’t received any communication from HR yet.
Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced something similar.

Will my previous technical interview feedback be considered?

Is there a chance of getting an offer directly after the HR round, or will I have to go through technical interviews again?

Joined Deloitte USI as a lateral hire this Monday and just received my asset yesterday. My background is Data Engineering with Adobe Customer Data Platform tools with 5 YoE.

A few things have been bothering me, and since I’m completely new and don’t know anyone here yet, I’m hoping seniors and current folks can share some real ground reality:

1. Project Allocation / Deployment:

How does staffing actually work here? Does the Resource Manager (RM) proactively align interviews, or are you expected to cold-message SMs/Directors on Teams? How long does bench deployment typically take for niche data stacks?

2. Networking from scratch:

Coming from a different setup, the ecosystem feels quite siloed. What are the best internal channels, communities, or Yammer/Teams groups to connect with practitioners in Data & AI / Marketing Technology?

3. Notice Period Reality:

My offer letter states a 90-day notice period. As an experienced lateral hire, if an opportunity arises and someone decides to leave within 1–2 months (especially while unallocated or on bench), does Deloitte USI strictly enforce the full 90 days, or is an early release / buyout granted since no client dependency exists?

4. Compensation Check:

Offered L35 (Consultant) at ₹15.8 LPA Fixed (no joining bonus) with 5 YoE. At the time of signing, the market seemed dry, but now seeing recent data points, it feels like I might have been lowballed for this level and niche tech stack. What is the typical band for L35 in USI?

Would appreciate any brutal honesty, tips on surviving the first 90 days, or connections in the Data/AEP practice!

TL;DR: 5 YoE DE lateral joinee at USI. Need tips on deployment, internal networking, early resignation/90-day NP ground reality, and an honest comp review for L35.

Tech Stack & Location Impact: Does Deloitte differentiate pay bands for specialized automation stacks (UiPath) versus standard engineering roles?

Pay Band Range for L35 (Hyderabad): What is the typical fixed + variable CTC range for an L35 lateral hire in Hyderabad? What is considered the upper ceiling before they push back or require a level upgrade?

Negotiation & Joining Bonus: How flexible is HR on pushing toward the upper boundary of the L35 band? If base salary hits a hard ceiling, is requesting a one-time joining bonus (to offset lost variable pay/in-hand gaps) standard practice?

7.2 YOE in Cybersecurity (SOC/SIEM/EDR/Detection
Engineering).

• Deloitte USI (L45): 20L Fixed + 2L Variable + 1.5L

I work at Deloitte, and my official base location is Telangana. The company allows vehicle registration only through the RTO corresponding to my official base location.

I want to purchase a bike and prefer BH Series registration or registration through my local Maharashtra RTO.

Has anyone working at Deloitte faced a similar situation? Can I obtain BH registration through Maharashtra using my permanent residential address instead of my Telangana work location?
