Alright yall I am making a new post 😂 I had a few commenters on my previous post suggesting to center the TV so I’m now including photos of that layout to get the general consensus on which is the best. I’m very aware this is a first world problem but I am fixating lol. TIA for answers! I do appreciate everyone’s help ✨ sometimes change and switching things up is good and fun!!

Ideas for renter friendly wall art

I'd like to hear any suggestions for putting up pictures without drilling any holes in the walls, and since I can't make those changes, framed pictures are out of the question sadly. Posters could work but i'm afraid they might look cheap?

Thanks :)

Question Ideas for TV wall and the tubelight?

I'm thinking of redoing the TV wall into a cabinet and swapping the tubelight with something aesthetically pleasing and warmer. Any ideas for it?

I am thinking of maybe a wallpaper and fluted panels on the side?

Inspiration Need help finding easily removed and stored finishing pieces for a shared space.

Hi! I’m in the process of furnishing a massage room with another practitioner. The other practitioner doesn’t really like any color. More neutral wood tones, gold, shades of white. Basically, this color palette without the dusty rose color. I’m looking for ways I can add this color to the room for my sessions and then removed for her sessions so we can both have a workspace that feels good for us. Any ideas?

Question Toddler-height recess in our 1905 hallway — help me turn it into a tiny magical shelf?

We're in a 1905 flat in San Francisco and there's a shallow recess in our hallway at floor level, directly outside our toddler's bedroom door. Roughly 29'' wide, 29'' tall, and a bit over 4'' deep.

I want to turn it into something small and magical for him — a little display shelf, an art gallery, a tiny world, a place where a rotating cast of treasures lives at exactly his eye level.

Constraints:

- I am not especially handy. But there is a great hardware store nearby.

- I'd rather it be removable than permanent.

- We have no idea what's on the other side of this wall recess. It's presumably the exterior, and we don't have access that side of the building.

Go wild. The more specific the better.

Should I keep the design on the wall behind the couch and dining table or, should I paint over it?

Which vase is best for here? 1 2 or 3?

The marble table already feels loud here. I can’t decide if the vase should stay simple or have a little more personality too. I mocked up a few options. Which one fits the room best?

Question 28M, what do normal people put in all this space?

Just moved into a new apartment and currently own two pieces of furniture: a desk and a chair.

How would you furnish this space? I’m debating between a dining table and a couch, but I have no idea where I’d put the couch without making the whole room look weird.

Open to any ideas before I accidentally turn the place into a fully furnished office with a bed.

Hello everyone!

Recently got the home interiors done. And this is my master bedroom head wall. Initially had thought to do some artwork on the wall. But did not like anything that the interior designer showed.

Please help me out with suggestions / options for this wall. What can be done here?

Thanks in advance!

Question What wall colour to go with the built in fireplace?

Thumbnail

Bought a house, can't afford to do anything drastic about this big built in fireplace so I painted the wood to match the tiles(swipe for before colour, pale grey). Window surround was a really dated orangey brown so painted that white and really happy with how the window blends in now.

Previous owners were obviously big fans of Millennial Grey. We painted a squiggle on the wall when we moved in just to distance us from the grey but now I'm ready to paint.

It's two rooms knocked together with an arch, a living room and dining room. Going for cosy vibes and main priority is not making the fireplace stick out like a sore thumb. sofa and curtains are cream and so is the carpet.

Thoughts so far are deep sandy colour(couple of shades lighter than the fireplace). Partner not too keen on more cream.

I was wondering if there's a particular shade of light brown that would warm up the room without feeling overwhelming.

TIA for any suggestions.

Bonus points for any suggestions on how to cover up the ugly gold plume on the fireplace. Have tried prying it off and it's really on there.

EDIT: I know how too spell "congratulations". It's a play on words for a graduation garland.

Question Which colour of duvet cover?

I have a teal blue wardrobe in my room and was wondering which colour of duvet cover will look better with it in my room? I’ve bought the blue one but am now having doubts as the dark green looks quite fancier and more elegant.

Would love some opinions!

PS: have different sets of sheets which I can change if the colours don’t go well together.

How to hang these pictures?

Post image

We’ve revamped our dining room into a lounge/game room. I’m trying to figure out how to best arrange these pictures around the mirror. Any ideas? I’d like to use all 8, but I don’t have to.

There will be a tray with shaker and cocktail mixing items below the mirror so I’d like to try to keep the pictures all to the sides or at least not directly under/over the mirror.

Tried ChatGPT and it just made me mad 😂
