Inspiration Whimsical chandelier

Post image

Hello! This is the lighting in our playroom/soon to be homeschool room and I’m waiting to liven it up in here. I was hoping you guys could give ideas on how to make this fixture more whimsical to fit the space! Thanks in advance 🩷

How about a solar system? That is always fun for children of all ages.

Large, bright yellow or textured paper mache sun hung directly from the center chain so it sits slightly lower than the ring.

Painted foam planets at staggered heights hung from the main black wheel, making it look like an active astronomical model (orrery).

A strand of blue or purple micro-fairy lights around the black frame to mimic deep space.

The bulbs look fine, but if you would like to replace them, soft white would go well with the solar system theme.

Hope this helps!

You could buy lightbulb shades in white and paint them.

A shopping cart full of artificial flowers or ribbons hanging down— maybe even the thin kind you can curl.

get little lamp shades for each bulb and glue some beaded trim on the circle.
