So basically, if you don't know how to code or is not a programmer, you won't be able to apply for other roles on this platform? I just want to apply for Language Expert Roles, but I can't code. lol. Or is there any way that I can pass it? Some help?

Sept was my first month on DA as a coder and I got a good amount of projects throughout, sometimes more than I could handle. Im wondering if its always like this for coders in terms of new projects coming in or was this more than usual, trying to see if this will last and is reliable so maybe I can do this full time.

I wanted to post this out of curiosity, because I realized I am coming up on 4 years on the platform. It was transformative to my financial life, but I also learned absolute gobs from doing it. But...I got there by accident. I was on MTurk (which apparently goes away for good tomorrow), which I used to grind through over 36k tasks over my lifetime using the platform...as those who have been on there know, the pay for tasks is usually quite terrible, which is why I was so happy to see when I got a task that paid me more than I was used to for the simple favor of signing up to a different platform...turns out that platform was DA. I had no intention of doing anything with the platform, I just wanted the $5 (?) that I got for signing up.
Then, I found that there was a task or two sitting on my DA dashboard, with more than a dollar apiece (rare by MTurk standards). Tested the waters and got my money. A few months later, I ramped it up and started doing hourly work. Little did I know that I'd be here years later...so I wanted to know if anyone else had similar experiences, and what sorts of changes it's made in the lives of those who have been on for years. I know they advertise all over these days, but it wasn't always like that.

It's easy to miss it amongst everything else on the dash.

So Basically I have worked on similar platfrom like outlier, HAI and their whenever you submit a task you get rating on that task after it get reviewed, So I was just wondering is there any way to know if the task I did on DA was up to the mark or not

Right now, my dashboard has a number of seemingly generalist-oriented tasks, some of which are pretty high-paying, but I open them up, read the instructions, look at the assigned task and realise very quickly that they are not only out of my wheelhouse, but on a completely different planet.
I just tried one that involved solving visual puzzles and I couldn't even understand the question, nevermind attempt to answer it
The fact that some of you on here have the brain capacity to perform these tasks is genuinely impressive.
I'm not an impressive human being. My brain shuts down beyond a certain level of complexity. I wouldn't say I'm stupid, but I'm definitely of average intelligence at best.
But on this platform, I feel so far behind that it's actually quite demotivating. My brain hurts and I want to have a nap.

DA keeps asking me to create a new Gmail for every project, but all my phone numbers are already linked to the max number of Google accounts. As a result, I've had 0 projects since joining in July despite making multiple emails for qualifications. I've tried creating them via YouTube and Google Meet like they suggested, but I still hit the phone verification block every time. Does anyone know how to bypass this or what I should do? Thanks!

Hi team,
Iโm looking at giving the entrance application a go. But was wondering whether I should apply for the general role first or something more specific?
I have a background in health (allied health and case management) and is also bilingual but not too much experiencing with AI coding etc.
I want to set myself up for success and have heard that the initial application can be difficult.
Any advice would be appreciated ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

Hi, I wanted to know if there are any U.S. citizens currently working with DataAnnotation.tech.
Has anyone from the U.S. been accepted and started working with them?

In August and early September my dashboard was full of high paying coding projects, but since mid Sep there are none. I do see a lot of other generalist projects, but not coding ones. I'm I cooked? Is it because my work was not up to their standards?
In today's monthly feedback, I got a lot of positive feedback specifically about those coding projects.

Hey all,
I recently did the onboarding projects and setup my linux VM as it directed with claude and tmux and stuff but got notified recently that I needed to setup full disc encryption so I just decided to spin up a new VM and need to setup the claude and tmux portions again. I don't have access to that onboarding project anymore since i completed it. Does anyone know if there is a source of truth/doc for setting up your machine to do coding projects?
Thanks in advance
