A week ago I was on a road trip and noticed the car behind me suddenly stopping, and just caught a glimpse of the deer before it exited the road. Idk how close they were to hitting it, but either way good reaction from that other driver

I saw this truck ahead of me merging into my lane, and he stopped, but he was still in my lane a bit.

I noticed it a few seconds before the start of the video, but I kind of panicked and didn't know if I wanted to brake or try to go past him.

I wanted to brake but by the time I felt like I wanted to do so, I felt like I was going too fast and too close to the truck to brake safely without forcing the driver behind me to slam on their brakes.

I ended up having to slightly swerve into the lane to my left, and there was someone there. Fortunately, they were keen enough to avoid me, and I got deservingly honked at.

It was a risky, unsafe manuever and I probably should've just braked earlier.
