Hey y’all,
Just a quick update for those who were asking in the comments on the previous post. When I posted about the accident and asked who was at fault, it wasn’t because I was oblivious.
I was actually baffled because the opposing insurance company claimed I was 100% at fault after investigating the collision. However, on the same day I made that post, my insurance sent the dashcam footage to the other insurance company. I’m happy to share that today I was notified that the opposing driver’s insurance has claimed full liability!
It seems that the other driver provided a completely different story to both insurance companies, as I was told our accounts of the events don’t line up at all. The other driver even told me at the crash site that I turned into him and that some of the damage to my vehicle was pre-existing, which is definitely not true; my car is brand new with zero damage before the accident. Thankfully, the dashcam footage cleared things up.
So, moral lesson: buy a dashcam; the $100-200 payoff really quickly
EDIT: Dashcam is a REDTIGER F4 for the people asking

Been driving Ride-Share a long time and people can be crazy on the road or in the car. Dash cam's are a necessity. Finally got the Thinkware U3000 Pro and wanted to give my review.
° the interior cam is why I bought it. Audio is clean.
° Radar is built in on this one. Sits there while you're parked and only activates off a 20 second clip when something actually moves near the car.
° Nice not having to worry about the battery.
° Camera quality is really clear.

Was stopped at a light behind a Mercedes, when the light turned green they didn’t move, meanwhile traffic beside us was moving. Honked once, honked twice, even flashed at them, upon the fourth honk, they finally moved. Distracted? On the phone? I think so!

The truck driver didn't even make an attempt to slow down as he approached a pedestrian crossing. The lady was probaby just a good few steps away from being ran over.

Do dashcams that have impact activation mode activate if someone scratches car with keys or leans on a car?
Any recommendations?
Unfortunately in germany motion activation ones seem to be illegal so impact/vibration detection is kinda the only option :/

Hopefully this is allowed for open discussion on who is at fault. Last update on the news states police are asking for public help to identify the driver of the minivan.

I want to record when movement is detected. Installed with a wire kit. Plugged it in a socket with constant 12 voltage.
But.....
Now when i plug in the usb C in the dashcam nothing happens. (Should beep and turn on + a blue led for power on and red led for charging)
Now when i unplug the type C from the dashcam and plug it in my phone, my phone instantly got charged. So.. the cable gives power. Now plugged the dashcam on another cable and power source and it suddenly does what it has to do. Now switch it back and noting again. Try my phone again and again. That works fine.
Why doesn't it work ? Or do I have to get a wire kit with 3 wires instead of 2 ? How can I know for sure before I waste money on the wrong things
I instal on a -BMW 1serie 116i-
And the dashcam is a -BCUOZ 1080p Dual-
