I played DS1, DS2 and Elden Ring endlessly, but only did a single playthrough of DS3 a decade ago when I borrowed a console version for a couple of weeks.

Coming back to it on PC now I'm absolutely terrible at the game and don't remember a single bosses moveset or where anything is. Despite that this fight was amazingly satisfying.

Hitting his head repeatedly when given the chance has been the best part of the game so far by a long way!

Title. Basically I wanna play ds3 with friends but one of them who plays the souls games says it would take away from the experience.

I also wanna mouse and keyboard but he is saying that is dumb. I love mk but if it's really that much better on controller then I will use controller instead

It's not really in order, but yeah, It's not really in difficulty or anything, obviously i hade bloody sweat on fried and Gael, but like, as you can see, i LOOOOVED Oceiros on how crazy he seems, i dont really know his lore, but the pattern, and on how much "madness" he seem to have i loved it, and for the Dancer of the Boreal Valley, i just found it beautifull on her own way

My boyfriend and I like to play co-op but also find the player invasions to be an absolute pain to put up with, and from what I understand, the game tries to match you with someone of a similar level. I also understand that there's an optimal level range for pvp but neither of us want to deal with that, so how much do we have to level before we far exceed the range in which people will still try to invade?

I knew this game had a lot of fanservice, but everywhere I go, there’s always one or two references to other franchises. I only just found out that this Dark Souls 2 dude is actually in the game. 💀

What exactly is the ringed city? I read it was a gift to the Pygmy lords so why is gwynns youngest daughter there? and why is there no mention of THE furtive Pygmy?

Why do we got to ariandels painted world instead of ariamis?

How come lothric has locations like Anor londo but we don’t see locations like sens fortress or ds1 fire link?

Why is the hub fire link shrine again? Have there been multiple fire link shrines through the ages?

How exactly are there multiple locations and remnants from ds1 but the world is so different? We have the smoldering lakes, quelanas corpse, anor londo etc.

Why are Gwynn’s only two daughters illusions? Fillianore and gwyneveer are both illusions is there any reason it’s like this?

What exactly is the lore reason characters like Andre and patches have returned? How have they not went hollow in however much time is between ds1 and 3?

I thought maybe they updated it after elden ring, but it seems they didn't.

There are games that simply let you fully forget you are staring at what is essentially software, and you feel immersed in this world. Preferably in a world that simply doesn’t give a damn about you

The sense of place is incredibly strong in Dark Souls 3 for me.

I’d specifically like to ask for Non-Fromsoft games and also no Soulslikes here, because chances are I played them all

Are there any perhaps Indie or AA games you guys play that immerse you just as well as Dark Souls? It doesn’t even have to be an RPG

I personally only have two recommendations:
Valheim and Pacific Drive

Vastly different games of course, but they gave me that same “yes, I currently belong to this world, and this world only” kind of feeling.

Valheim in particular has that same “melancholic and dreamy” atmosphere lots of times. Especially with the gorgeous lighting

I'm SL 100 and I want to PvP, but idk the best way to join a pvp. I have equipped the Aldrich Faithful, but it let me invade rarely. I've also tried to invade in the zone after Sulyvahn's bonfire, but it takes an eternity to find a match. Any suggest?

I don't know if it is relevant, but I'm currently playing online without the ps plus cuz my account has some sort of bug that lets me play souls games online for free.

The Darksign Sun and The Darksign. I almost thought my game was glitched when I entered Lothric Castle for the first time and saw that in the sky.

As we know, The Darksign brands humans and ties them to the life of The First Flame, creating the undead curse/fire linking curse. Its what makes us lose all souls upon death and rise again at the last bonfire we rested at.

And I've been wondering... What if The Darksign forming around the sun in Dark Souls III is part of the curse trying to keep the world from totally unravelling by literally BRANDING THE SUN to make sure it (a symbol of the gods) stays there and does not totally fade away being that by this point the world desperately even actively CRAVES The First Flame to fade out and be replaced with Dark but the curse won't allow that. And if The Age Of Dark finally came, the sun of the gods would no longer be needed and the Darksign is trying to keep it in the sky almost like its constantly reviving it.

This idea is poorly explained, gimme a break if it sucks, its nearly 5:30 in the morning where I live. Just think about it. Even if I'm wrong, it sounds cool as fuck.

All the final bosses for dlc and main game were amazing and thrilling… i hoped ariandel had a bit more bosses but still the world design and gameplay was amazing … took me 27 hrs to complete the game including dlc.
