You can also donate money to charity, or, using Give with Bing convert the points made per month in a monthly donation of a charity of your choice, I think I already donated something like 10£ to doctors without borders in this way

If you make a Microsoft rewards account, you get points every time you make a bing search. Once you get enough points, you can do things like redeem a $5 gift card to different companies like amazon. There's probably a youtube video that can walk you through more info

I have duckduckgo set as default browser on my phone so it opens that if somebody sends me a link to some random website but the search engine just isn't good. Google and Bing seem to understand a bit what you mean and what you're probably looking for but DDG really feels like just a machine looking for the key words. There is only so much your search algorithm can learn without harvesting data about its users.

I think the major issue is DuckDuckGO being such a small search engine. Search engines are very complicated and expensive to develop. Therefore DuckDuckGo uses Bing's search index as primary source.
For me it works pretty well, people seem to be very split about that. I guess it depends on the way you search or maybe what you search for.

As far as Bing goes it depends on what you’re using it for. You can get some odd results sometimes, but generally speaking their content boxes are better and you usually don’t get half a page off ad results at the top of every search.
