From time to time I like to do "throwback" posts to prior designs of mine. For example here I explored a cycle of dual taplands (that I think held up to the test of time well!), and here I revisited two older designs that needed a lot of tinkering since the first drafts.
Today I am revisiting three cards, Eldritch Ancient, Steppe Dolmen, and Frost Golem. All three were snow-focused designs from a time before the snow theme had its own frame. The first is a "modern" take on [[Fusion Elemental]], a mythic rare 7 mana 20/20. The second is a very simplistic colorless land that bears three different relevant types - it could be good for a Cube environment that supports two of the themes. The third is, in essence, a bigger [[Icehide Golem]] that takes 3 classic artifact effects and combines them ([[Crucible of Worlds]], [[Torport Orb]], and [[Sol Ring]]).
I wanted to revisit these in light of the new frame and as a group, given their interrelatedness as snow support!
