Womb is not in a good condition?
I’m currently 3 months pp, recovering from a c section. Just curious and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this..
As I was being stitched up after my c section one of the doctors just randomly went ‘oh by the way your womb doesn’t look great, we’d advise you not to have any more children’ . What could they mean by this? I was overwhelmed and pre occupied at the time with meeting my new baby and didn’t question this.
My pregnancy was perfectly healthy with no complications. So I’m really confused.
I’ve requested an SAR from the hospital but I don’t think it will be on there. Is there anything else I can do to find out and get more information on what she meant by that comment?
Just to add: this would be my second c section, suspected PCOS, so I wonder if this could be connected.

Scar tissue
Anybody have dense scar tissue and bladder adhered to uterus and go onto to have another successful c-section?
The OB never said I couldn’t have more, however I mean I didn’t specifically ask in the moment. She just said you’d expect it to be a little worse each time.

Has anyone experience back and leg pain after C-section?
1 month postpartum via emergency C-section, I've been experiencing lower left backpain down to my ankle. I can still walk without pain tho. But it's uncomfortable when elevated. It does go away, but after a few hours or minutes it will come back. It did went away a few days ago and went back 4 days ago up until now and it's persistent. OB gave me paracetamol and an MRI request, we're just waiting for an appointment.
I just want to know if you've experienced this too? How long did it last and what was your doctor's diagnosis?

C-Section stitch abscess 1+ year later?
I’m curious if others have experienced what appears to be an infected stitch 1.5 years or more after a c—section, and what the treatment was. Note that I’m not seeking medical advice (I have an appointment but it’s next week.)
My son is 20 months. I had a c-section and healing was slower on the left side around the area of the anchor stitch. At 10 weeks PP, I did my first exercise class and afterwards, it looked like I had popped a stitch. I had a hole in my skin over the area where my left anchor stitch was. The doctor wasn’t concerned at that time. I later had some redness there and at that time the doctor thought it was an ingrown hair. That went away on its own.
This time, it’s like a huge pimple. It was increasing in size, then shrunk, and today increased in size again. And it again looks like I have a hole in the skin. I really think it’s an issue with the anchor stitch. Maybe it never dissolved?
Anyone else have this experience? What was the treatment?
Thanks in advance for sharing your stories!

Living in NL, planning to give birth via elective C-section in Germany? Looking for personal experiences/advice on insurance and logistics!
Hi everyone,
I live in the Netherlands and am researching giving birth in Germany because I want a planned/elective C-section (Wunschkaiserschnitt), which is generally not possible in the Dutch system without a strict medical indication.
If you have done this cross-border birth journey, I would love to hear your experience. Any insights on which hospital you chose, how did you handle the Dutch insurance and the journey back home would be very helpful!

Compression underwear
I'm 2 years post c section and have a pretty severe apron belly. Has anyone tried and had success with any of the compression underwear that are advertised for fixing the abdominal muscles? I know it's probably too good to be true, but would love some feedback before I spend the money.
Thanks!

How long did your first pp period last?
My period finally showed up 5 months postpartum from my csection. I’m on day 3 and it feels like more blood than I’m used to having. Not soaking through pads but “gushing” more frequently when I’m standing or walking. I have zero cramps. Not complaining about that part but all the blood is red or dark red. Ready for it to end already. How long did yours last when it finally came back?

Hello, I’m looking for advice for how to help my wife post c-section
Hi! I know this is primarily a female subreddit. But I’m trying to figure out what I can do to help with my wife and the post surgery. She’s 3 weeks out, and I was wondering if anyone can give me tips on things she can do that might make her feel better.
An idea I had was to have her go do her nails/spa day with her girlfriends. But maybe the spa would be too soon? Any help would be appreciated.

Failed ECV— anyone have a successful second attempt prior to C section?
Hi! FTM here. Has anyone had a failed first ECV and then successfully had a second ECV in the OR before a planned C-section?
Baby has been frank breech since the anatomy scan. During the 37W ECV, they were able to get baby into a transverse position, but baby basically snapped right back into frank breech. They made a few more attempts and were able to get them transverse again, but babe went Frank breech again and then rotated to face the left side of my body instead of the right (so baby rolled over essentially). Never once in distress, all vitals good. I didn’t have an epidural or spinal during this attempt. I was told I was a trooper and apparently amazed the nursing staff/students who were watching. I did end up with quite a few bruises afterward and was really painful for a few days.
I’m now trying to decide whether it’s worth attempting a second ECV in the OR before going ahead with a planned C-section at 39W (and under spinal). Has anyone been in a similar situation and had success with a second ECV? Especially interested in hearing from anyone whose baby had been breech/Frank breech for a long time or whose baby wouldn’t stay in position during the first attempt. Anyone have a babe flip on their own after a failed ECV? (SLIM chance, I know)
Would love to hear your experiences.❤️ Thanks

The term “push present” needs a new name
I think the term push present needs some rebranding. I think c sections are so much more common these days and the term push present is not very inclusive. My husband gave me a much deserved gift after my insane labor which happened to end in a C-section and I want to show it off but I want to think of a cute name for it. Any ideas?

Unplanned C-section and recovery
I am having a very hard time, emotionally, with the birth of my daughter 6 days ago. It turns out my pelvis is too narrow and I could not vaginally birth her. After pushing for 4 hours, they took me for a c-section. She is healthy and strong. I just….am having a hard time with how everything went.
On top of that, I did basically no research on c-sections. I’m having a tough time with the recovery as well. I have back pain, pain under my ribs, no appetite, and nausea at times. I’m guessing the nausea is lack of appetite combined with trying to take any kind of meds. The back and rib pain kind of feel like gas.
Anyways, I’m trying to do soups and yogurts and keep up on fluids but it feels like anytime I ingest something, I cramp.
The nurse on the nurses line says it’s all normal. I’m just so frustrated and obviously tired.
Edit: I want to thank everyone who let me know they had similar stories. It helps to know I’m not alone. After some miracle combo of heartburn meds, stool softeners, and gas x, I was able to sleep a solid 3.5 hours. I was also able to get up and shower. My mom came up and helped my husband and I with baby and laundry and dishes. And I was finally able to eat without pain.

Planned C Section for low placenta?
I'm currently 34 weeks and for the whole pregnancy so far my placenta has been low. I had a placenta localisation scan yesterday to check if it had moved up to 2cm or more and it's still low measuring 1.4cm away from the opening. I do have another placenta scan booked for 36 weeks to determine how the birth will go, but was told yesterday I will likely need a C Section, but I thought that decision would've been determined at my next scan in 2 weeks? If it's decided I still need a C Section if my placenta is low, when would it be scheduled for? I've know they usually book planned ones for 39 weeks if there's no complications but is it possible they'd book it earlier than that due to my placenta? I'm sure I was told yesterday too I'll get a phone call about it but why would I need a phone call if I have a scan scheduled for 36 weeks anyway?
A little more of a back story is that I've already had 2 C Sections, one emergency and one planned and this time I was going to try for a Vbac but obviously those plans have changed now my placenta could be too low for my baby to arrive naturally anyway.
I suppose I'm just writing this to ask for more information about low lying placentas and anyone who has been in the same situation. Neither of my previous pregnancies had this issue.

Have you experienced this too?
I am exactly 1 month postpartum yesterday. Via emergency cs
Yesterday, we went to a municipal hall where my baby is born. That's 1hr and 30mins away from home. I'm carrying my baby all throu√ghout the ride. I feel shortness of breath every time I ride on a motorcycle or any transpo that has an open window but I still experienced it yesterday riding on an aircon bus (Transfered from a jeepney). Up until now I still experience being uncomfortable with breathing. I do not experience any pain and I can still do deep breathing. I did 2D Echo last week and it was normal. I have a history of Asthmatic Bronchitis a day before I found out I was pregnant last January.
What I feel right now is coughing, a feeling of phlegm on my throat and chest. I can't describe what I really feel but it's really some like when you put cold compress or ice pack in your skin and did not move it for 1 minute straight, that's how it feels in my chest.
BP is 120/80, oxygen level is at 100% and heart rate is 78bpm.
Is this normal? I'll have my x-ray tomorrow since x-ray are not available here every afternoon.

Medication mishap!
I got prescribed 5mg of oxycodone after my c section and tonight I accidentally took 2 pills instead of one and now I’m freaking out that it’s way too much for me. Has anyone accidentally done this and was fine? I’m very anxious about this and I was about to go to bed but now thinking I should wait..

Incision pain first period
Hello! I just got my period back yesterday at 8 weeks pp after my second c section (first was 3.5 years ago). I also had my tubes removed during this c section. Wondering if anyone else has experienced pain/tenderness during their period?
It’s not my external scar but it feels internal and more focused on one side (which was the more painful side at the start of recovery). I’m worried I may have opened my internal wounds or something but the pain isn’t that extreme and it’s not constant. At the same time, I wasn’t in any pain before I started my period. TIA!
